  1. hum, we need to get @matthew180 in on this. my f18a, from my point of view, was nothing more than a 9938 upgrade that also provided VGA. there may been other stuff though that I was unaware of.
  2. if we elect to not meet live in July, I'll setup another meeting and this time give more of an advanced notice and won't compete with CoCo talk either.
  3. that's 1pm here. noted and thanks for the info. I have been watching CoCo talk on and off for a while and might pop in this Saturday.
  4. unfortunately my Spectrum router went down in the middle and I didn't get a recording. we usually do recording them though.
  5. I had the f18a chip in my machine at one time (till I sold that machine). the TI99_4ev setup emulates is a lot of what the f18a visually did. sharper picture, 80 column display and all the 80 column software worked with both. what I never got working was the higher graphic displays games on the EV like TI Scramble that the f18a could do. TI Scramble looked at the EV like it was just a stock TI99_4a. I could be totally wrong but wasn't the f18a supposed to emulate the MSX2 video chip and didn't the EV was about the same thing?
  6. You planning to support the f18a in MAME or are you already and I just don't see it.
  7. here's a manual request I can't believe I can't find: munch mobile. very popular game of the time. lots of dumps of the cart various ways but no manual.
  8. the Central Texas Retro Computer Society is having a Zoom meeting today @ 2pm central time. We have several CoCo enthusiast in the group who I'm sure would love to talk about their favorite computer. Time: May 23, 2020 02:00 PM Central Time (US and Canada) Join Zoom Meeting https://us04web.zoom.us/j/71319976226?pwd=MldDdVcxWXBEZndsc1BYR1RDTy8rQT09
  9. posted: Personal Record Keeping Home Financial Decision Home Budget Management personal report generator personal real estate Securities Analysis (this one kinda funny. It comes with a big announcement that using this cartridge could lead to bankruptcy and should only be used as a toy. someone was really trying to cover their booty). Physical Fitness in Software & Documents under TI Productivity Cartridge Software. under just Documents in same area posted: BASIC CALLS for PRK & Statistics Productivity cartridges Secrets. <<I'm still looking for a manual for STATISTICS. If you have one please post.>> And more TI cartridge Productivity software will be posted over the next few days.
  10. will do. I'm going to post this note on TI99resources.
  11. i'll test the 99/2 with the same disk that worked with the 99/8 tomorrow. probably that I was using DSDD disk with it too why it didn't work.
  12. on the 99/8 these type of files DO seem to work: TEST998.dsk 255k - which I think are PC99 files? I have wrote and read from this dsk several times without issue. But using V9t9 320k files don't work? after about a dozen files on the disk the disk is no longer readable by the 99/8. PROJDSDD.dsk but are readable by TIImageTool & TiDir.
  13. the ti99-8 didn't error out till I tried adding files using TI-Dir. but only after a few attempts. not right at 1st. I'll play around with it more & use TIImageTool instead. ya, and the 99/2 still has 'issues'. but since it just has >4k not a lot can be done with it anyway. wish you could find the 16k module to emulate, if it exist.
  14. did I just miss it? anyone scanned Statistics yet?
  15. did you get the TI-99/8 disk issues working. I got it to read and write a disk fine for a while but then it corrupted. but I used TI-dir with the .dsk and I'm not sure if that was what corrupted the disk.
  16. finally getting back to uploading more stuff to ti99resources. the reason for the pause, for the last 4 years I have had 115gb free on g-drive and could never figure out why. never really used it till now. AND just as I start using it I found I got the extra 100gb free from LG and it just expired. No idea how I got 100gb free from LG or why it lasted 4 years? Anyway, I wanted to wait to see what Google did before I started adding more stuff and they did just cut it down to the standard 15gb, which is more than enough. So, will be posting Productivity cartridges real soon.
  17. I added the change log to my TI99RESOURCES so I remember to check it next time.
  18. works with TI99 but doesn't seem to work with the GENEVE. comes up with Error: unknown option: -ioport:peb:slot8:hfdc:h1 edit: this, on the other hand, does work: genmod -window -skip_gameinfo -inipath ini\geneve -peb:slot4 speech -peb:slot6 tirs232 -peb:slot8 hfdc -peb:slot8:hfdc:h1 generic -hard1 ..\software\disks\geneve\bootdisk3.hd
  19. how do you attach a HD in the command line? what I previously had doesn't still work in v220.
  20. oops, make that 220. didn't look at right. like I said, it doesn't effect the emulator just kicks out the error. Edit: in PLUGINS I renamed the BOOT.LUA to OLDBOOT.LUA and the error went away. Not sure of the consequences of doing that though, but there doesn't seem to be any at this time.
  21. i get this error now for some reason? doesn't seem to effect anything though: [lua error] in run: plugin\boot.lua:38:bad argument #1 to "for iterator' (table expected, got sol.core_options*) here is a example execution string: ti99_4a -window -skip_gameinfo -video gdi -autoframeskip -natural -inipath ini\ti99std -cart ..\software\cartridges\xbea.rpk -ioport peb -ioport:peb:slot2 32kmem -ioport:peb:slot3 speech -ioport:peb:slot6 tirs232 -ioport:peb:slot8 hfdc -flop1 ..\software\disks\xbasic\xbeaboot.dsk I just updated all my MAME to 221 from 192. any idea what i may have not changed right?
  22. where are they? I'm about to add a hardware section and that be an awesome addition.
  23. that would be cool. I actual like Kull XBII. it has a couple minor quirks but has some useful features. I created the manual by tearing apart some of the examples and looking at the command table. I'm sure there is a lot I missed or incomplete.
