  1. what I'm doing is LIST"P:" It must be on the printer end. CR is acknowledged but LF is not thus printing over the same line over and over. Since I don't have a book or can't find one, I'm just guessing at the char set the MPP uses. the printer is set up as a Epson LQ with a usa code page 437. going to test sending diff codes
  2. the dip switch doesn't seem to effect it. I'll see if there is a ESC code to turn it on. thanks
  3. Just got a supra MPP-1100 parallel printer connection to attach my 800xl to my Canon BJ-200 Epson LQ compatible ink jet printer. I got a problem. I can't get a CR/LF at the end of the line and all the lines print on top of one another. the printer works fine with my PC (FYI: getting and old BJ-200 to work with Win10 was a bear). Am I missing some drivers that came with the MPP-1100? there are no dip switches on the device an the printer dip switches are set to CR/LF. I haven't been able to find any documentation on the web yet. Thanks.
  4. FYI: the 2.7 homebrew has a little less than 1k more available then the 2.0 cart + supplemental disk. not sure where they found the extra 1k.
  5. the only two 'official' versions was version 1.0 (which is disk based) and version 2.0 which is cart and disk based (some added commands were on the disk). like I said 2.7 was probably a homebrew and looks like all they did was either consolidate and unprotected the 1.0 version to make it portable OR took 2.0 an merged in the supplemental disk of the extra commands to the ROM and turned it into an .exe. I have no idea where the 3.0 original origins came from. probably someone's attempt to fix some perceived problem in 2.7 (my guess). So far I haven't had a issue with 2.7 which I run in MYIDEII.
  6. If I remember right the 2.7 version was a homebrew modified after the fact. I'm guessing the 3.0 is the same. all the 2.7 version did was take the code from the cartridge and merge with the expansion disk then turn it into a .exe which made MSB II portable. Not sure what the 3.0 version was trying to accomplish if 2.7 worked with Spartdos X too. the only problem I ever had was that 2.7 won't work with APE running. memhi seems to be messed up and it gives more memory then there actually is available. Edit: I'm going to test it with APE to see if that was where they were going. Of course DNSC says that JSR is jumping to an illegal address? whats at $01d0?
  7. Not up on spartados or Atari memory locations but I'm guessing that is so it can run under spartdos X? BTW what did you use to compare the two files?
  8. got it, thanks. is the only difference it works with spartados X?
  9. OK, 1st off, I know that only 21k is available. Now that's out of the way, I have started re-messing with with Atari Microsoft BASIC. Why, may you ask. Well, I have several BASIC programs from other systems that I want to port over and MS BASIC is a much closer port (don't have to deal with lack of string arrays). But, it requires a cartridge? No, not really. I have come across a version of MS BASIC called MS BASIC 2.7that loads off of disk with all it's extras. Personally I think it compares nicely to BASIC XL and TurboBASIC (except having only 21k). Now if it only had a compiler (Humm, a future project?) attached is the MS BASIC 2.7. MS_BASIC_27.zip
  10. the box has to be fricken big to keep the plastic disk box being damaged. I might made it too big though. I'll look into it tomorrow.
  11. Have some TI-99 stuff I'm getting rid of on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/hlo_in_tx/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from= some cartridges, Ed/Assem full package + learn assem book, Ti writer full package, MS multiplan full package + some extra books, 2 boxes of 5 1/4 disk, joysticks etc... Just clearing out my closet.
  12. another oddity, or unknown feature, the buttons on the Sears VA II don't work either on the menu. you have to press the joystick right to click on anything.
  13. Some confirmation here: AspeQT DOES NOT work with the atarimax SIO to USB adapter ONLY with the serial adapter version, correct?
  14. could you put an 'options' choice on the menu to what joystick you are using and how you want to default? or maybe a hot key on boot up to bring up options? having to hold the button down on start is a bit cumbersome.
  15. Just got my Harmony cartridge and it's great. But, have an odd problem. With my Sears video arcade II joysticks on the menu it always defaults to the paddles even if I have the button on the console set to joystick. also, the button does not work when not in the menu. No big problem as I hardly ever use the SVA II joysticks but use power player joystick. Still, something to point out to see if anyone else has ever had the same problem and maybe Fred can address in some future BIOS update.
  16. Thanks, Fred emailed me today. I recent had a package from ebay mis-delivered and never saw it again. the guy from ebay was nice enough to work with me on it though. The problem is that San Antonio has zip 78214 while Marion has zip 78124, causes all kinds of trouble. I think I'm going to start asking people to send UPS or fedex.
  17. I jut got an update from USPS that my Harmony cartridge was mis-addressed and 'might' be sent back to sender (you never know with USPS). I have sent emails and IM to everyone I have found; batari, the help emails and the emails that sent my update and have got no response. Anyone know who I am supposed to get a hold of so I can let them know I never got my cartridge? thanks, HLO
  18. Found it. It's called Mr. Challenger. http://www.datamath.org/Edu/MrChallenger.htm
  19. Wasn't this on ebay for sale recent? I think he said it was a music mixer mode?
  20. The machine TI should have made instead of wasting time on the 99/8.

  22. No, I wish i could find a picture of it. Mine is stored away in my parents attic (with most of our furniture) till we find a house. It was about the size of a large calculator with a LED display. Kinda of a stripped down 'Speak and Spell' It had a couple other games, can't remember what they were. Must been a horrible seller, I think dad got it for a couple bucks from the company store. Played a pretty good game of Hangman though. Had several hundred words stored.
  23. And you are correct! I only got here last year. I'm thinking of the toll way.
  24. Sad part, I never got to go with him to Dallas. We were living in Georgia (USA) at the time and I was still in school. He actually brought me several things from the company store. Anyone remember the TI Hangman hand held unit? I Still got it somewhere stored away. I don't remember if it still works.
  25. I think we need a thread like the development thread for just the software we make. I have found it a 'hit or miss' when trying to keep up with the various games, apps, virtual-cartridges people are coming up with on this board. We could put the beta and completed versions on the thread. Be glad to monitor it. Just a thought.
