ever write a manual for titanium?
-
My 'Man Cave'. A Small corner of a small kitchen in a small apartment. I can't wait till we finally find a house. F18a mod, CF7+ (mod for F18a, can almost read it on the title screen). To left of TI99 is a Palm III where I keep a database of my files on the CF card. Can't see it but below left is a bag with small printer and right a case with my carts.

Us guy's need to stick together - (Wive's & Girl Friend EXCUSES)

My wife will play 'Parsec' and 'Centipede' with me from time to time, and she usually beats the crap out of me when she does. -
actually have a silver and black flat 15" I plan to use as soon as I get around to putting the sound in the console, matches real nice.

I use a small flat panel TV with VGA connection, it has a setting to 'not stretch' the screen. you end up with black bars on the edge but it looks better to me then stretched. TV was about same price as a monitor. Also, if you look around at thrift shops you can still find square VGA monitors, I have one those too I use for testing.

well, looks like B-1 was it. If Avalon-Hill was mostly BASIC I wonder if some of the other platforms were cracked? if it didn't use too mant peeks and poke might be easy translation
-
OK, where there any other Avalon Hill games for the TI-99 other than B1-bomber?
-
is B1-bomber the only thanks.
-
I thought that B-1 bomber was SSI.
-
Anywhere I can find some SSI games to download. looked in whtech and didn't find any.
-
think you get same frame rate using on the TI. also, does the MSX access the video memory via some DMA or like the TI99 does.
-
Also, if you were thinking of asking; I tried using a SD/CF card (where you can insert an SD card into a CF card interface) on the CF7+ and it didn't work, constantly got read and write errors.

Since I got the f18a update and replaced the flaky speech module with a fairly mint one my cf7+ is solid as a rock now (knock on wood).
-
Maybe I have a slightly newer model or something but when I told him about some of the issues I was having he said I needed to swap it out for one he made for the f18a. he said it was some kind of timing issues. what was happening was when I turned on the TI99 sometimes it would lock up. when I got the 'f18a fixed' one that problem went away.
-
I got a CF7+ with a printer port. IF you do decide to buy a CF7 or NanoPEB from that guy on ebay who is making them, be sure to tell him if you have a f18a card installed in your TI99. He has to make the card a little different for the f18a. Also, be sure to get a power supply and have a good speech module. I had all kinds of problems with my CF7 till I replaced the speech module with one in much better shape.

Does anyone really play the old BASIC games?
hloberg replied to InfernalKeith's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
never knew SSI made so many games for the TI99 -
were hoping for a cooling trend down to 95 here in Dallas. Been 100+ for a few days now.

When I was learning 99 assembler waaaaay back in the day I actually found the line by line assembler rather OK. Alright Tursi you convinced me, I'll get it. update: ... wouldn't you know it, finally decide to purchase the Mini-Mem after weeks of indecision and the guy is on vacation and not taking orders now.

Actually, yes. From time to time I play a Mille Bourne card game I wrote and working on Uno. If the game can be written with in the parameters of XB or BASIC it can still be a fun game. -
Does it only work with the cassette, I can't remember. Also, isn't there other programs that do the same as easybug.
-
Is there any reason to own a mini-memory cartridge if you own Editor/Assembler cartridge. I been eyeing a guy on eBay who been selling off about 1/2 dozen mini-mem carts and trying to justify to myself the purchase of one.

Anyone ever play Atari 'the Eidolon' with it's crude 3-d cavern. I would think the caverns would be good fit for the multi-color mode. http://youtu.be/E9cTvuwYi3w

LOL! for the less cool (and younger) among us, that to which he was referencing. http://youtu.be/npjOSLCR2hE
