Why do you think they should lower the price on the older model if any were left? They're functionally the same, and a lot of the old models also came packed in with the network adapter, making it virtually identical besides being larger.

They don't sound like words to me.

What's the deal with the modern Mario games?
Atariboy replied to Room 34's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Speaking as someone who used to buy every EA Formula One PC title, and Papyrus PC NASCAR title as they were released, I think its so we can get a closer representation of the sport we love as the series progresses. I'm sure that's what drives people to buy stuff like the latest NFL title, though I'm not one of those people (Only auto racing for me ). -
What's the deal with the modern Mario games?
Atariboy replied to Room 34's topic in Modern Console Discussion
If you refuse to go back a generation to try Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, and Super Mario All-Stars, its your loss. Its the only way you're going to find the kind of game you were expecting. Also Super Mario Land 1 and 2 are worthwhile purchases for the Game Boy. -
I got a Atari 7800 and some 7800 games, Atari Anthology for the Xbox (Only had been able to play it at a friend's place before), Activision Anthology for the PS2, two Namco Museum disc for the PSOne, and Intellivision Lives! for the Xbox.

"Also, it's nice that nobody ever disagrees with Ocarina of Time. " I disagreed, I just didn't think it was worth posting that I did.

The Wind Waker, GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas.

"They're novelties, not true enhancements." And that's nonsense too, at least when it applies to steering wheels. No one with a joystick or keyboard is going to be able to compete against someone such as me in something like Grand Prix Legends. They'd be lucky to be able to even complete a lap. Even if they are successful at it, they won't have half the fun someone would with a nice wheel and pedals. Its definately a enhancement if you've ever used one in a racing simulation.

Steering wheels and pedals are quite popular among PC gamers, and are gaining in popularity among console gamers. They're not that large, expensive, or impractical to use at home. There are many quality under 100$ steering wheels out there. Though there are more expensive ones like TSW wheels for PC's (Mine cost over 500 dollars).

"Well, I don't think they own Criterion outright," No, they own it now.

"Nintendo is going to control a majority of the handheld business for years to come." Kind of early to make such a bode statement as that if you ask me. -

Anyone hoping Namco decides to make a Namco Museum DS? They could do Baby Pac-Man with the 2 screens. -
Why are (some) non-Americans being such ....
Atariboy replied to Foxy Cleopatra's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I race games like NASCAR Racing 2003 Season and Grand Prix Legends online. They have a lot of non Americans that race online, especially with GPL, they've been among the nicest people I've came across online. Its always been Americans or Canadians that were the trouble makers from my experience in those two PC games. -
Is there a complete Atari 5200 list somewhere that includes everything such as 8 bit computer conversions?
-
Four, I forgot about Lunar Lander (I miss that edit button).
-
I count three. Two of them from the last year years of the decade (Including Asteroids, which is perhaps their greatest arcade game), and Pong that started Atari's arcade business. That's a pretty big gap. I'd love to see stuff like Night Driver and Fire Truck, and many others.
-
I thought Nutting Associates became Atari. Guess I was wrong.
-
Is there a specific reason Atari's 1970's arcade games have never been done? Or is there just not much demand for stuff like COmputer Space and Night Driver?
-
The poor menues and lack of support for custom soundtracks is a real disappointment. Also, its too bad more arcade games couldn't of been included. But I guess whatever emulator they''ve been using for years only supports so much, leaving stuff like Night Driver out and many other early Atari arcade classics. Also why are several unlicensed Atari 2600 games left out?

Hard Drivin' is fun, I'm hoping if there's a Midway Arcade Treasures III, they put Race Drivin' on it.

Intellivision Lives! PS2/Xbox
Atariboy replied to video game addict's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Most of the sports games are like that, 2 player only. If it mentions 2 controllers are needed, its 2 player only (nothing like Robotron or Space Dungeon on the 5200 where you use 2 controllers for single player).
