As the title says, can anybody help me get the atari 800 emulator work on a vista machine please

Hi there i trying to use the atari 800 emulator, i get the emulator to run games, but cannot get it to work with joysticks, does anybody know how to use it, i know there is Atari 800 win +, but i thought i would try this one, but as i said i can not get the joystick to work here is a link to the emualtor http://atari800.sourceforge.net/

I have a few .XEX discs and was wondering how do i look for what is on these discs, is there a program that will let me see what is on the disc

Get ATRUtil, it works great! You can make any EXE, COM, BIN or XEX file to a ATR. Its called a KBOOT file. Which is not a real ATR disk, but a emulated ATR disk. A real ATR disk is 90k, the KBOOT file is about as large as the EXE file, but runs the same (so you cannot normally transfer the KBOOT ATR to a real Atari disk) how do i do the above i have tried to convert xex to atr but AtrUtil will not load xex files in so i'am stuck

Like you both said there are too many formats, so this project is for my eight year old son only i wil not be releasing it to the public, so that is why i want the files in atr.

I want to be able to convert these file formats to atr (XEX,COM,EXE,XFD,DCM.CAS,CAR,ROM,BIN,BAS) Iam trying to run them from a frontend (Gamebase), but the above file formats do not run from this, so if anybody can tell me how to convert them

No the double quote does not share the hash key, we have to use Shift-2 And how do i edit the default layout, what edit program will do this, i have tried notepad but just get a lot of y's

When i use Atari800Win plus 4 or any other emulator, when typing in programs or using basic when i have to put in the quotation marks "" i have to press [shift & #], where as on a english keyboard you press [shift & 2], so you can guess my frustration, so what i'am asking is as anybody got the keyboard file or other that will let me do the above

When i type in programs and other things on Atari800Win Plus 4.0 and on a english keyboard the quote marks, you press shift and the number two, but on the emulator it is not that way and i was wondering how do i get to use the way i know (english keyboard)

I use to have a Bookmark on my computer and when stop using IE and started using Firefox, but lost this site it had a lot of the group's disk magazines on there, like TWAUG, LACE, Analog, Antic and others. Does anybody know where i can find this site anywhere, i'm sure i got the link on this site but cannot find it again.
