  1. Well now. Ya learn something new every day.
  2. Actually, I'll have to give this one to you since it's a valid point.
  3. There are no "overpriced" laws regarding "auctions" where the rules are "you bid what you're willing pay".
  4. So does tying a cordless phone handset to the base with string to keep from loosing it.
  5. I thought nuts were against the law?
  6. Then they have no business bidding on said auction. Yes, it's obviously the sellers responcibilty to cater to lazy buyers who feel they shouldn't have to pay attention to what they are doing. Chili Mix. All the different bands of chili mix typicaly come in Mild & Hot. Generaly the only difference in packaging are the WORDS "Mild" or "Hot". If you intented to buy mild chili mix, but instead bought the hot mix because you "don't have time" to read the package, would you too aruge that the chili mix company or store were trying to be deceptive? The people got what they were bidding on.
  7. No, no. Mike enters room holding his extended and empty arms out: "ok, I got it now. What's this fish doing in my bed?" Viv, Neil & Rick: "What fish?"
  8. If I remember correctly, wern't they formed in 1987?
  9. Lots of bungie cords. Tie the sucker to your handlebars, or sling it off the back of the seat. Problem is your just not trying hard enough.
  10. As someone who does have a gigabyte of ram... The load times are STILL horrendous (over a minute to load each level).
  11. Starting from episode 30, yeah, I'd aggree with you. The first 29 were excelent IMO. Sheila: "Retard. Retard. Retard."
  12. It probalbly is ready for that if you only worry about that orange and nothing else. But in a sick way, I'd kinda like to see that. Virtual Orange 2004. Be up to the wee hours of the morning.. "Ok, so lets see what happens if I have the orange angled at 34.6 degrees pointed at heading 162 and slice straight down the middle. Look at that one vein, it's off! What kinda crap is this!" (I think Naturaly Artificial is going to expand outside the vaporware of fake food, and include a whole line of virtual food simulation software.)
  13. I know what you mean. My personal favorite is carmageddon 3 for the PC, although 2 is good as well. I loved the way the dogs yipped when you hit them. Road Rage (Xbox) is good too. People get hung up on your bumper and grill & junk. Dragging people around, trying to shake them off the car by swerving all over. Watch them go tumbling off in the road or over your car. I think there is game or some plot, not that I've bothered to get that far.
  14. DOA nothing. You don't realize that you've been lugging around a "so-called" factory sealed box of bricks & lead weights for years!
  15. I've always been partial to Jill of the Jungle myself. Tho I did play & enjoy commaner keen too. I think it was 5 I used to play, I haven't had a machine capable of running those games in years. (Me thinks I should set up my old 386sx20 again for shits & grins!)
  16. So it's not just me then. I had to turn up the gamma on my card, and brightness on my monitor and in the game, and it still wasn't enough for me. I will say this tho, I like the burning/disolving effect when you kill the Imp's. That looked neat. Also, I do like the sound. Even on a simple 2 speaker system, it captures the ambiance quite well. You can effectivly locate stuff just by listening (which is just as well since you can't freaking see anything). My gripe is not having a fast enough machine. It's "playable" on my AMD 1.2ghz w/1gig mem. About as playable as the original doom on that old 386sx20 w/4megs I used to have back in the days. :/ (Me thinks it's time to get a P4).
  17. Nice stuff. I remember reading those reviews back in the days.
  18. Well, there WAS that cheesy sequel on the NES, Death Race 2000. It was by some unlicensed game designer... I can't recall its name but it also released NES ports of several other old Exidy games. JR Ditto, been wanting a DeathRace game for years (ever since my mom wouldn't let me play it in the arcade actually... 20 or so years ago.) Can't wait to get this loaded up. Regarding the NES DR2k game. I've aquired the rom image from no less then a dozen different places and ALL of them seem to be bad. Crashing every emu I've tried it on. I KNOW I've seen screen shots of it, so whats the deal. Just don't work on EMU's, all are bad dumps, fake screen shot???? ..... I just wanna run over and kill people, is that so much to ask.

  21. Ok, Update to this... I now DO own a copy of Doom. I like it better then Wolfenstein. Because, Doom plays better, looks better and is more involved.
  22. Well, once you make the mistake of going out there, you get stuck knee deep in crap and don't have a choice.
