Nifty thing I found for Dreamcast users.
Artlover replied to 2600Lives's topic in Classic Console Discussion
As explained in previous messages in this thread: I don't have dial-up access, I have broadband, and am dialing into my PC to use as a bridge, which only has a 28.8 modem because I can't find my 56k. -
Can I spool Infocom games to a printer?
Artlover replied to FastRobPlus's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Yeah, I did it with HGttG too back in the days. Loooooong printout, on a noisy, slow dot matrix printer. I've still got it somewhere. -
The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
Artlover replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Is this the biggest thread on AA yet? This is crazy! I know I've got some finds in here somewhere. Like 200+ pages back or something. Damned if I can find them. This thread is so long now that the "print thread" mode and search in browser doesn't even work anymore. I must say, I never understood some forums that have a post count limit on threads, but I do now. Yeah, 200 posts/replies per thread, then it autolocks and you have to start another one. Hmmm, we'de be up to "The Official 'Thrift finds' Thread - Part 33" now. -
Can everyone who owns an Air Raid please PM me their complete address and list of days & times they are away from home.

It is! And once PMP has the intermissions done, it will be perfection.

Hi! question about the Atari - Jr. Pac-Man discovered!
Artlover replied to FrauBlucha's topic in Atari 7800
Anywho, to bring this back somewhat on topic. Question about Jr.Pac-Man. Not this version in particular but Jr.Pac-Man in general. Most of the pac-man games all have a specific maximum score you can achieve per level. All dots + eat all ghosts on every power pill + all fruits/bonuses. This rule doesn't apply to Jr.Pac-Man, does it? I'm assuming no because the bonuses change the value of dots it touches and that is an inconsistant variable since you'll be eating them. That and also since power pills kill the bonuses, as you eat the power pills, you leave open areas where the bonus could travel further and effect other dots. I don't even see a strict pattern as being possible to achive this since the variables that effect bonuses change during play. -
*Edit - nevermind, don't want to give the guilty party any new ideas. It wouldn't matter. Even if they did what they needed to do to not be detected instantly, they would still be found out soon enough. Everyone inherently has their own personalities and writting style that gives them away.

Ya know, I did that myself once just to try it. Lasted me around 45 minutes, I don't think it was a full battery tho.

Works on the xbox port of z26 nicely too (better then stella on the PC actually).

And yet you spend so much time here on a site that hosts 100's of evil copyrighted roms, many without explicit permission. Hey Al, don't you know your taking the food right out of people's mouths, raping their wives and murdering their pets....... -

Once again, the master has blessed us with a jem. Thanks PMP, this is great. Can't wait to see the final with intermissions and stuff to. That will be awesome. -
Interesting. They are reproducing actual club dynamics. Which I guess means if you suck at real golf, you'll suck here too. All they need to add is a pressure pad to stand on for detecting foot placement and balance. And the best golf game evar is Tee Off Golf on the Dreamcast.

PS2 to drop under $100 on April 1
Artlover replied to accousticguitar's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Whoops, missed this.. I just want to live out my darkest perverted twisted anti social fantasies without worring about going to jail is all. -

Lets all ignore real shipping cost and what not. Not the point. He specificly stated "Free Shipping". End of story. He's pissed he didn't get as much as he thought he would and is trying to change the terms & conditions of the auction after the fact. He can go eat it.

Amazing how much a minority Atari 2600 fans are at Digitpress
Artlover replied to homerwannabee's topic in Atari 2600
Gee, isn't that about how the Classic & Modern gaming forums HERE are also set up? -

So you're saying Halo3 doesn't have CTF & DM? Yes, I know it also has things like on-line campaign co-op too. That actually is pretty cool. I've played the original Halo in splitscreen co-op with friends before. Pretty fun.

We're just a bunch of people talking. We're not in school. We're not writting papers to be judged & graded. We're not writting great novels for the annals of history. We're not documenting current life for the benefit of descendants centuries into the future. People who correct other people over typos and spelling and grammer just seem to want to say something without having anything to say. Worse, it's usualy done for the purpose of trying to detract or invalidate what someone else says, as if the meaning/value/truth/knowledge of anything said is any less so because of it. One can say: "A kumpewtur helps u doo stuf. U tipe on a keebord to inter kahmends and kan sea rezuhltz on a monater". We can call them ignorant, but they still demonstrated they understand the concept of what a computer is and how it works. In an informal setting, where it doesn't matter and is irrelevent, people don't appreciate know-it-all's chiming in for no purpose other then correcting them.

Let me start with a ZP quote... "But people have been telling me that the multiplayer excuses it, unfortunately I don't give a flying shit about multiplayer and nither do alot of people. - A game that is supposed to be perfect wouldn't need anything to excuse it." With that out of the way. Multiplayer. Yes. Things like Capture the Flag and DeathMatch. - WOW, you mean it's like Doom, Quake, Team Fortress, Tribes, Unreal Tournament, Digital Paintball, Call of Duty and a multitude of other multi players games that are exactly the same thing going back for decades, only with Halo 3 graphics this time. I dunno what says more; That campaign mode needs to be excused, or that the excuse is an unoriginal clone of something done a 100 times before.
