  1. I also concure. Quotes belong at the top, and one's reply to said quote belongs at the bottom.
  2. Ok, and what market study was there that showed "Mother 3" would have been a flop everywhere except Japan?
  3. You can still install one anyways. http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/157/62/ Or just USB instead. The HD Advance & HD Loader support it.
  4. Yes, but not like before. There already is. No, it's gone. Eh? Where did that ever happen. Never happened down here in Florida. I could talk into any Sears, Kmart, PlayWorld, whatever, and they still had the things. Yes, at a discount, trying to sell them off, but they all still had them tho. Still had them when the NES came out too, that's when the prices really bottomed out as retailers were trying to desperatly free up shelf space for the new generation. There was never a lack of availability, but there were a lot of great deals for people to buy into consoles they couldn't afford before.
  5. Well, lets not rule anything out now. Maybe if we both got drunk enough.
  6. It would really be nice if once, just ONCE, an Atari'er could make an argument without resorting to making up their inturpertations of how they think something should be done just for the sake of claiming it doesn't do what it does because it's not how they think it should be. Really, out of over 200 pages, I've yet to see one argument that wasn't based on some level of self serving double standard. Programming, sprites, sound, ergonomics. This is why comparing several monochome planes against a single multicolor sprite is actually a fair comparison to some people. Are you guys really that dense, or do you guys really think we're that stupid?
  7. If by many, you mean 1 (2 if you include Japan) then you have a point. Other then Samba de Amigo and the Japanese only Densha de Go!, I can't recall any games that "required" special controllers. Most games that supported the use of optional non-standard controllers were still playable with the stock units. For some people maybe. But you take me for example. DVD player had no impact on me deciding to get one. Didn't care then, still don't care. Didn't buy it to watch movies. Many games were in the 29.99 and 39.99 price range. Just like the PS2 had it's share of $50 games. Wow, it took long enough to bring up backwards compatibility to the argument. Ok everyone, how many people actually care about BC? Hands up. {cuts hands off and throws them in a hole}. I have never cared about BC. To be honest, I don't like BC as I think it just represents both a waste of development time and a waste of system resources that could have been better used in making the new system just that much better. For a system that was only around for a couple of years and still sold 10 million units.......It was quite successfull in this regard and even earned the title of "most successful hardware launch in history". Why the DC failed has already been answered by the people in the know. Saying the PS2 killed the DC is like saying ET killed the video game industry. It was just something that happened at a time when other things were going on. Sega was a company of total mismanagement and financial trouble. That Sega never went belly up and that the Dreamcast got made at all are both rather astounding.
  8. I've not noticed this. What version/revision of HDAdvanced were you using? So playing game discs is unsafe too then I assume because they run the drive the whole time too.
  9. Ok, I'm really really tired. I was skimming this and read that as "low dollars for a good time". Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. Unless you're a girl. Anywho, I think I'll go to bed now before I misconstrue anything else.
  10. So this thread got me to wondering. I know there are Sega Genesis emulators that emulate the CD and the 32X, but do any of them emulate the CD+32X as a combo?
  11. It's been 18 minutes without a reply. I think you killed the thread!
  12. AND ONCE AGAIN, WHAT PART OF SEGA KILLED THE DREAMCAST AFTER 2 YEARS SO OF COURSE IT DOESN'T HAVE THE SALES FIGURES OR LIBRARY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? Seriously, how and why do you honestly believe that shit makes any valid point when comparing a dead system to an active one?
  13. Let's just roll gun control and P&R into this and have one galactic sized cluster f*ck. Jesus, Republicans sure love guns! Which Discworld is that from anyways?
  14. Isn't that what the past 200 someodd pages has been? What differences does it make now. This war ain't going anywhere, as is always the case, might as well start another that isn't going to end up anywhere either.
  15. WiinHip is awesome! Fast as hell. I use it anyways because it's just plain faster then trying to copy the game discs directly, even with the overhead of ripping on the PC side first most of the time (not to mention it works to copy those peksy games that don't like to be copied directly).
  16. If I were you, I would take Al up on his offer of a trade. That benefits you in having a working 7800 and benefits Al so he can make sure that the homebrews he ships are highly compatible. I agree. That would be the cheapest, easiest, quickest solution and would benefit "everyone".
  17. I'm wearing nothing but a G-string woven out of my own hair. So, yes and no. Can you post a picture of you modeling it for us? I need to get ramped up for my night with that pie.
  18. I'm half naked, and eye'in up that fresh hot apple pie now. Does that count?
  19. No joke about it. Come on. We know you have the Atari plugged into a $5000.00 voltage stabalization unit and you handle it like it was made from fine crystal with satin gloves on and you plug the C64's into a generator with the worst power output you could find and type commands in using a hammer.
  20. My CBM gear is over 20 years old and it all still works. Maybe it's just you, or what you're doing to it, or your "I hate C64" thoughts telepathically destroying the things.
  21. The earliest announcement that "specificly" states level cap and playing beyond the end of the story is 12/12/2008 from Bethesda themselves. http://bethblog.com/index.php/2008/12/12/level-cap-raised/ To be fair, this actually puts it about 1 and a half months after release of the game, not 1 month. You can flame me over the 2 weeks difference if you like, I deserve it. The flat out earliest announcement, period, of Broken Steel and playing beyond the ending is 11/25/2008 that I can find. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3171496 Granted, that one is a bit vague in just saying "Continues the adventure past the main quest" and doesn't mention level cap.
  22. Ya know, in the 6+ years that I've been here. I never noticed there was a "report" button. After you said that, I started looking and sure enough, there it is. <-
  23. Actually these days, they are, or at least as good... Only because Japanese cars got worse.
