  1. http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?...amp;RS=03728480 That's the original patent. (Click on images at either the top or bottom of the screen for actual scans with schematics included). It's both vague and specific at the same time. Vague in the overall general concept. Specific in as much as he's detailing things such as where resistors and transistors are located in the circuits and how they are used. Boy, I hope no one else is the world is using two diodes as a rectifier or a transister as a switch. Baer patented those ideas 40 years ago. *EDIT*: pasted the wrong patent link in.
  2. Uh, you already have the "internet", what the hell you paying for NetFlix for? What color is the sky in your world? I'm happy for you that you are obviously so well off that you can afford luxuries. You don't speak for everyone. If I had a spare $50-$100, which I don't, rest assured there are a hell of a lot of better things I "NEED" to spend it on besiding gaming. I haven't been eating pasta and ramen exclusivly for the past few months just for fun. Internet is hardly a luxury anymore in todays world. Shit, a lot of job's tell you to "apply on on-line", with replies of interest comming via E-mail requesting you call them to set up an interview. Can't even go to HR Block or have the city come out and do their regular 10 year home inspection without them asking you for an e-mail address to send follow ups to since they don't want to be bothered with having to call or snail-mail anything. That said, AA is free. Don't see what the big deal is about popping in here to relax for a few minutes between fighting through Unicru applications or how it proves I have money to waste. Seriously. Quit telling others what they can and can't afford. YOU "don't" know.
  3. Nathan - that's exactly why he was discounted as a reliable review reference over at Wikipedia by myself and others in the the video game project there. He's for entertainment purposes only, and I don't think tries to be anything but. AVGN has said the very same thing himself. He has never tried nor ever claimed to be an honest reviewer. It IS entertainment. Either way, the courts then (and largely still don't now) understand the fine technical differences of hardware and software. If Baer's patent wasn't so generally vague, Magnavox wouldn't have had a leg to stand on. As far as all this goes, part of the problem is the whole trademark/copyright/patent system is flawed. Surprized calculator companies never sued the computer industry. Because you know, they are both just electronics on a circuit board designed with the purpose of processing numerical data.
  4. BECAUSE THE DC WAS KILLED OFF BY SEGA AFTER ONLY TWO YEARS. What part of that concept don't you f'in understand? Funny, I was going to say the same thing about you PS2 fanboys.
  5. Just because you are taking it apon yourself to come up with your own interpretations of what what they said means for the sake of trying to justify your position is hardly a valid argument in stating that as if it's a true fact. The fact that that article is from 4/21/09 in itself kind of prove that it's not actually, on account of the fact that Broken Steel and what it was going to offer with regards to level caps and going past the ending was being announced as 360 DLC since LAST YEAR! Specificly, less then one month after the game was released.
  6. Well, to be sorta fair. People and the courts were stupid back then. Here's pretty much how it must have went. ~ Odyssey = thing you hook up to a TV and has two blobs that players can move and a 3rd blob that moves around on it's own. ~ Pong - thing you hook up to a TV and had two blobs that players can move and a 3rd blob that moves around on it's own. Same things, Atari, you lose. Case closed. Next case. ~ KC Munchman vs Pac-Man. ~ Boy, today sure is an easy day!
  7. That's hard? Hints: You can have your own sniper rifle at level 1 & you don't have to don't have to walk up the main road.
  8. Sweet. I've got 4 of them, one of them was bought new, but it looks like I threw the box away. Yet I still have my Xbox, PS2 and Gamecube boxes. I'm sad now.
  9. I'd like to offer since I have some of those boxes/manuals for every system listed there. But they all have extreme parrot damage, so I don't think you'de want them. Chewy birds with big beaks and paper/cardboard products just don't mix!
  10. Well, atleast the video link is there now, even if it is oddly located inside quoted dialogue. Anywho.... Funny. Tho I don't know if I'd say Popeye the Movie is "that" bad. I mean, it's always hard to bring cartoons and videogames and junk to life in live action form. There are a lot worse out there then Popeye.
  11. Awww, it's only a 59 second clip. Your Halo ain't going to melt off. Ya know, I'm not even sure why that one has such a reputation. I have.. Uh , I've seen... I've "heard" there is much more extreme stuff out there.
  12. Weaseletta & Terror Teddy. WTF? Hahahaha.
  13. Probably very. I've seen it this MANY a time myself. At Kmart, Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, other places. They are always inside a small clear plastic box with no airflow.
  14. Ok then.... Can you see the difference beteen those two images?
  15. HD Loader "used" to be a commercial product that you had to pay for too. It's free now because it was officialy abandonded years ago after they got busted under DMCA laws. What you have now are just hacks, and needs either an exploit or modchip to be used. Uh, it's been updated numberous times. Currently, there are two versions. Version 3.0 and Extreme. It's also useable without an exploit or modchip, but that's the advantage of an actual commercial product vs hacks.
  16. Wow, worth that much? And honestly, I'm not trying to be sarcastic. I have no idea what any Colecovision stuff is worth. Tho in retrospect, I've guess I've gotten some good deals. I bought a complete Colecovision system with hookups and controllers and 4 games (boxed Zaxxon, boxed Smurf RiGC, loose Donkey Kong and loose Mouse Trap) for $40.00 off a guy that worked at GameXchange (bought it in the parking lot before they opened one Saturday morning). THEN, I picked up an extra 2600 & 7800 with a like 30 or so loose carts (mostly 26, some 78), driving controller, and a couple of proline sticks for $10.00 at Goodwill and found 7 more loose Colecovision carts mixed in (2 Donkey Kong's, BC's Quest for Tires II, Burger Time, Donkey Kong Jr, Super Action Baseball and Atarisoft Centipede). Not to mention a 2600 Xonox Artillery Duel/Chuck Norris Superkicks double ender too! I'm guessing I didn't do so bad either, particullary on that $10 haul.
  17. Just saw this today myself. Wow. Like others here, I've never seen a real Odyssey 1 at work. Heard about it, seen pictures. Those things sure didn't accurately represent how god awful horrible this thing was. How on earth did people actually buy this and think it was fun? For all the non video gaming crap it came with, and non video gaming crap you had to do, you might as well just played a board game or something. Anywho.... I guess he was getting complaints from hardcore fans because he's sorta back into old form again. Yay! Tho I'm not too keen on Nerdy Turd. That's kinda stupid. He should have just stuck with Shit Pickel. I can't believe this is what Atari had to pay royalties to. I can't believe THIS is what spurred on the home video game market. If the home video game market was a person, and I was them, I'd be ashamed. I'd keep this locked away in a basement, fill that basement with cement and never speak of it again. ~ Aren't you related to Odyssey? ~ What, Odyssey, no, no. No. Never heard of him. Here, meet my only relative, Pong. Hey, get away from the basement! Tho I do believe it. The home video game market had to have been spurred on in trying to prove that home video gaming wasn't a complete pointless boring dead end sack of crap.
  18. You want to notice it. Compare GTA:SA on the PS2 vs the Xbox.
  19. 800 MS points = ($10.00) Whoops. Doh. <-
  20. I seem to remember hearing 800 MS points ($16.00), like the others. But who knows, it might be more, like the add-on for GTA4. Shame because I've still got like 1020 points sitting there on Live too. Grrrrrrrrrr! I don't want NXE, but I want puppies. Can't afford to buy another 360 right now to be an upgraded poo-dash machine. What to do, what to do.
  21. I emulate at bedtime every night. I only have two switches to turn on too. TV & Xbox. Can play any game on any system I want, and I don't have to get out of bed just when I'm falling asleep to turn it off.
  22. Sorry, but this 3rd DLC was always known about. It was part of the package of DLC Microsoft PAID for, which is why it's only on the Xbox/Windows PC. Not sure why you (and others) are acting like you got blind sided on this. Not sure why you (and others) think you're entitled to exclusive content paid for by someone else. <In Capt. Kirk voice> Must, resist, NXE!
  23. Yeah, for being NIB, it's not an unreasonable price. But if NIB doesn't mean anything to you, you can get them used without box/manual/extras for a lot cheaper. And off-topic... So why is it when a mod edit's their post, it doesn't show a tag line saying the post has been edited and when like it does for everyone else?
