Compile Error !! function (MicroSD_Read) was not declared in this scope but interest is absoluterly high for this thing for the project starter: WELL DONE!!
-
the games playing better is between the ears! It's like the "stick a penny on your snes mortal kombat cartridge to enable blood" april fools joke (which was really funny btw!!)
-
Did you set it to the right region ? I remember trying to play an NTSC version on my PAL NES, which had the same effect.
-
uhm 20v ? Dude, if that was measured the right way, you may have fried the atari (if you're lucky, you just fried the voltage regulator in there)
-
M2L or not...it's working

Hey Jay, at first my design was build just like that. Later on I found out I didn't have an AND gate in stock so I switched to a NAND gate using 2 gate (1 output of the NAND gate going to another 2 of them inputs and then that output to /CE). A friend of mine pointed me to the DIODE-logic which just AND-gate, but using 2 diodes and a pull-up resistor. See this page for more info on that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diode_logic

Here are the photo's I took on the Rampack repair/expansion. The socket houses the 74LS138 and the AND logic is done by 2 1n4148 diodes and a 10k pull-up resistor (DIODE LOGIC....gotta love it)

Yeah I heard some things about that SDCC compiler. ASM is hard, but I guess it's the only way to go with the aquarius if you wanna get it done the right way. Can't wait for you to get those libraries ready. My 16k pack was surfacemount btw. I would have mounted another PCB in there with PDIP parts, but a friend of mine had a nice surface mount 32k sram chip we seated in place of one of the original SRAM chips. I can share photo's if you want.
-
well I am using ASM, but is there any specific Aquarius programming tool ?
-
Hey Jay, wow those look pretty cool ! The aquarius has been a system I chased for years, and when I finally got hold of it with a 16k rampack (which wasn't working like it should) I couldn't wait. That 32k rampack of your is certainly a thing I would have bought if I wasn't too technical I am much more of a hardware guy, but this beamrider project is something I wanna do.

Hey Aquaman! It's about time the aquarius gets a new game. The thing is cripple as h*ll, but I like a challenge. Last week I finally took some time to repair (and upgrade) my 16k rampack....it's a 32k now The only damn thing which I stuggle with is the fact you can't make any graphics the easy way.
-
Here's a little something I've started. Really hard, since all the graphics are CHARSET based I'll keep working on this until something playable has rolled out, and then I'll be releasing a public demo

firstly there's a ring around that switch....twist it off. (turn it counterclockwise...) then (maybe with a hairdryer) remove the label. You'll find 1 or 2 screws...remove them.... after that you can gently separate the two halves of the cartridge shell. be very gentle, since you don't know how it's soldered together. maybe you don't even need to twist that ring from the switch -

dude....if you could, please open up this thing so we can see the internals. from what I can see on the outside, this is a DIY eprom cartridge....but a really nice one with a ZIFF socket so you can swap out roms (for playing different games....that explains the multicart explanation) Did the thing include eproms? btw, what's with the switch ? can't read that part of the label -
hey people, I just made a deal on a non working intellivision. I got as much info on the none working thing I could, and it seems like it's a pretty easy fix.... (replace a cable) Sow now I was looking into emulation of the thing and I played some games....pretty funny. I now have a new addiction.......BEAMRIDER What a funny but challenging game that is. Can't wait to get the thing fixed and try to get hold of a beamrider cart

got it working with some help of soilent green...thanx dude

I just downloaded the most recent source from the Virtual Jaguar website. It keeps complaining about how SDL.h is not found....

I don't know what is going on, but on my lubuntu 12.10 32bit installation I can't compile the damn thing...I compiled o2em, and some other emulators and programs in the past with suc6, but this thing is killing me !

could be the powerswitch, but could also be the PSU or the RAM....

check http://atarionline.pl and you should really check out drunk chessboard...it's one of my favorite a8 demos.... http://atarionline.pl/demoscena/D//Drunk%20Chessboard.xex This is ahard question to answer. I like both machines...as far as gaming goes (graphically) I'd say the C64 wins....although there are some A8 games I like better. For instance Chucky Egg. for me, there is no actuall winner here.. 180 darts on the other hand was superior on the C64 compared to any other version I played (and I've played the A8, c64, spectrum and MSX version)
