General question about Canadian postal service.
datafreq replied to highinfidelity's topic in Auction Central
go here and you can calculate prices for shipping internationally from canada http://www.canadapost.ca/personal/rates/in...t/default-e.asp the trick is that if the package is too small (like a camera perhaps) the charge will be high because of the possible loss factor due to a small package. it's a little known fact that if you make the package a bit bigger (at least 5 inches a side), you can ship it for under 20 bucks CDN. A lot of people don't realize this and end up paying more $$$. I had to send an Atari 800 cart to Scotland and they quoted me 40, i said no way and went back home...i called canada post and she said that my package was too small and if i increased the sizea bit to around 5 inches a side, it would be less...i checked online with the new measurements and voila...around 10 bucks CDN to ship... hope this helps... cheers ! -
go here and scroll down to see what it looks like, somebody opened a can of it and actually posted it on the website http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0695/

i'd love to see him try to get out of a "pickup" from montreal
-
sorry to rant...but i've missed out on over 10 more auctions in the last month, because people won't ship to Canada.... you email and ask nicely and they answer like you have 3 heads please don't go on about the extra time for customs blah blah blah i know about that, i'm just frustrated...

lets see , i got the shelves for 12 bucks canadian each, that's about 8 bucks U.S...doesn't seem overpriced to me, considering i'm using the drawers to store stuff in the basement
-
i got these wooden boxes from ikea...take the drawers out and voila !

Activision Anthology for GBA (My first impressions)

60 Canadian dollars? YES! That's also a fair price for shipping; you'd have difficulty getting it shipped for under US$5. We hardcore geeks at AtariAge are beginning to question your loyalties. ok ok ok i give up i forgot to mention 15 % tax as well as possible duties and customs handling fees, so that could easily raise way above what is reasonable i guess i'm gonna have to drive to niagara falls NY, but the three hour wait at the border due to orange alert would definitely test my patience in picing up this cart -

oh brother let me clarify... Canada gets lumped in with the same "international" shipping rates as England, France, Germany, Japan etc That's ridiculous... I f anybody has a line on how to get this in Canada. I'd appreciate it... No? INTERNATIONAL: Adjective 1. Of, relating to, or involving two or more nations. 2. Extending across or transcending national boundaries. (Definition above provided by The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition. Activision Anthology for GBA (My first impressions)

i'm in Canada, and i went to EB, WalMart, Best Buy, Toys R Us, and a bunch of mom and pop video game shops and nobody had it. trying to order it online , i discovered that either most U.S online retailers won't even ship to Canada or the shipping the shipping charges are ridiculous... i checked aspyr and the shipping charges are called international, when Canada is NOT international...but 10 bucks US for shipping would make the game 40 bucks which = 60 bucks CDN now if you lived in th States would YOU pay $60 for this game ???? i didn't think so..... -

hello all: since i've received a ton of messages regarding this, here's the info regarding this cart i bought it when SK first started doing them along time ago, in fact i'm pretty sure i bought my vectrex multi 1.0 at the same time. i'm assuming this is one of the very first ones, as it's got dipswitches (not menu driven) and has a plain white label (except where he wrote my name) it does not have a full colour label nor the whole game library like the one (that he can't sell) on his website... from what i remember there were 2 different carts, one had 16 x 32k games, and one had 32 x 16k games mine has these 16 (i'm assuming 32k) games buck rodgers frenzy frogger 2 galaxian jumpman jr moon patrol mountain king mr. do omega race pepper 2 star trek subroc super cobra super donkey kong super donkey kong junior tutankham any more info required let me know cheers dave

I'm actually "fine tuning" my collections, and i have an SK colecovision multicart up for grabs... i'm looking for $$$ , but i am missing som 2600 + CV carts, so i would be willing to accept games in trade, or a combo of both... i will take loose carts... if you have 2600 or CV trade lists let me know... i'm also looking for a 7800 AC adapter in very good shape also, my feedback on ebay is 100 % http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...serid=davidrout cheers dave
