Nicely done by your nephew!
I like how at the end of the third wall he just sat there and shot the guys on an angle near the gate, that seemed to work well. Cool.Ya he came up with that! It works great! I use it sometimes but i have a hard time giving up the way i do it throwing grenades and running up and down but i think his is the better way . was a great time

Just got home to watch the video, holy crap! This an intense looking game! Gotta get me one.......
Here is one last video of my nephew beating 3rd wall ohh to be young again and have those quick reflexes

Congratulations!
I find that game insanely hard.I barely make it through the 1st screen or level. Thanks it is a hard game. but I love it
My Nephew came over tonight and made it threw the first and second wall on one guy then he made it threw the third wall . First time i have ever seen that done in twenty years of playing it lol I have the 3rd level on video i am going to post tomorrow was a fun game tonightLooking forward to seeing the third level as I can't remember making past the 2nd level much in my many years of playing this.

Here the video of my nephew beating the 3rd wall, after the 3rd wall it goes back to first level then second. I don't know if that would be considered beating the game or not but they sure could give you some more extra guys they give you one at 10,000 and then every 50,000 .My nephew had a score of 115,500 points he whooped my 73,500 I am just glad someone made threw the 3rd wall I didn't know if we ever make it
-
That is why I am so had that two of my Nephews love playing Intellivision i gave them both sytems and some games to keep it a live and to have someone to play with loli tried to get my 13 year old nephew to play some intv and 2600 games but he got bored after about 10 minutes.

Hi my name is Mark i am 47 years old I live in St Louis MO I found this forum yesterday it is so nice to see there is other Intellivision lovers out there. I would love to play in your tournaments if you have more hope to get to know all of you better hope you have a great day, Mark
Hey Mark, nice to see a new face at the Intellivision forum.
I am new to Intellivision since Feb 2010, but I caught on quickly. Already racking up high scores, on my own Intellivision, nowadays. Also got the Intellivoice and about 50 games for it. I didn't know this console existed in the punk gaming era '77-83! I only knew Atari, Odyssey and Colecovision, plus the home computers like Commodore 64 and Apple 2C. LOL... probably because I was 5 in 1985. I'm 30 now, but I have two brothers around 5 n 8 years older then me, so they know all about the 80's and I learned a lot from both my older bros (and some from living in the 80's), so I know all 80's songs, movies, culture... etc. The best time for everything pretty much was the 1980's. Creativity was limitless then.
Would be cool to see you in the Intellivision tournaments for high scores! The next season of games starts next SPRING around "March or April of 2011 I presume. About 4 months from now. I finished "5th" place overall this past year at the HSC of Intell.
You could still post some high scores of yours in a message here, if you want to discuss the games you are playing.
You can make a post about everything Intellivision here.
I'm the best at Vectron and Tron Deadly Discs, two awesome games, those two are probably my favorites.
Vectron I scored over 400ks. Tron D.D, over 2 million!

WOW Great scores I really need to explore more of my Intellivision collection I have never played Vectron much I don't think i could figure it out the last time i played .I used to play Tron back in the day but it has been a long time will have break that out and try it again
Thanks! Sometimes trying to figure out a games mechanics, and playing it often, suddenly you find out better or different ways to play and succeed. Basically the easiest way to get how to play VECTRON is...
You have to build or fill in, "energy blocks" with using the top buttons and disc while shooting away the eniemes flying around them block and breaking them apart.
(cannot complete the level if any damage is done to EVEN the corner of one block)
Sorta space-tetris in a way. One tip, is hold your thumb down on the STANDARD mode and shoot the bad stuff with the directional pad, and not bother with the FREESTYLE setting it sends you all over the place. It's better to build each block 1 by one and then when your done, you solve the level.
I made an extra effort to read most of my instruction manuals, like with
Tron Maze-A-Tron, also Sub Hunt, Space Spartians, Mission X, Microsurgeon, Horse Racing, Vectron and that... it gets me better scores, and let's me understand all gameplay aspects. Lowers my frustration and I realize the games are EASIER then I thought. (Helps to buy the games in lots on ebay, with their box, manual and overlays)
Some games it's a must! You need all the gear to play.
Like you, I am into playing and not just collecting. For example; with a game like Donkey Kong I worked at it, figured out that jumping the barrels is best "before" the barrel gets near your feet. Also the bonus hammer... if you aren't walking into the barrel or ducks, they wont go THROUGH your hammer and you can hit them everytime.
I got a score of 138,000!
There's only a few games left in my humble collection that I haven't played much,
B-17 Bomber (need to read how to play) and Bomb Squad (the code I'm confused about).
That's about it, and I could spend more time on the Dungeons and Dragons games,
I haven't gotten very far on either one.

Thanks for the reply Jacob I have most of the manuals and for the games. what i dont i printed them out online there used to be a great site that had a lot of manuals on it not sure if it is still up anymore but i have bought a lot of loose games on Ebay and like you said on some of them reading the manual is a must hope to play in the next HSC and learn some new games

what i would still like to get some day*
Turbo
Tutankham
Super Cobra
Congo Bongo
Spiker! Super Pro Volleyball never happen unless i find it at a garage sale lol
Jetson's Way with Words
As rgw mentioned, Jetsons loose shouldn't be too bad, and Turbo loose has been going in the $40-50 range recently. Spiker is ridiculous, Tut's getting harder to find, Super Cobra is just a bit easier to get than Tut, and Congo loose I think can now be had for under $100, maybe $60-70 if you're lucky.
of all of these games what ones are the most fun to play . I may try to get a couple of these but cant afford all right now lol but i am in no hurry since i have been getting these since 1979 lol
Congo is not good. Spiker is meh. I always liked Tut as a kid, and still do, and Super Cobra is actually a lot of fun in my books and I would say is the best of this bunch. Watch rgw's videos for the other two, he does great reviews.

Thanks I think Super cobra wins. that is what i will try for. I have heard that Congo wasn't very good and Spiker is out of the question i will have to play that on my ds
-
That's a good question, still trying to figure that out myself. lol
Just doing videos i enjoy and people seem to enjoy them too. The Retro Gaming Community is a close-knit group of people who stick together. Or that's just how i see it it.
I'm not as popular as some people out there.
Well you inspired me to make my own videos I realy like you style on your videos and have picked up a trick or two on games that i dont play much like Diner I have it but have never played it very much thanks and keep the videos coming here is a link to my sucky Commando video lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDyZi9KaiF8 -

-
Here are my first two Commando Videos I am going to post some more videos today it is really fun
hope you like them -
Commando is a great game. I really like the music. I was only able to get to the 3rd mission once. I made it past all the huts and then past all the trucks only to get hit by a motorcycle.
Yes the music is very good when you get to the 3rd wall it is like the first but they have mortars on both sides and it almost impossible so many grenades flying next time i get there first thing i am going to do is take out the mortars
-
That's 2 glitches so far and if i find anymore i'll post them in this thread.
Buzz Bombers is glitched. If the bee makes flowers on the right side of the screen your spray can will get stuck if you touch them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRalwwnjXwM
And to recap, here is the Slam Dunk glitch.
Sorry there is another glitch I just bought intellivision lives for my daughters for Christmas they both got new dsi i have only played it a little will have to give it a try
