    Pac-Man

Pacman sucked, I was a child who was addicted to video games and I still hated it. When I finally played the arcade game I expected it to be trash too but was actually surprised that it was fun.
  2. Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Good call! I'd still like to see a slightly superior 2600(but not too superior.....just right) There was a bit of a flamewar on Lemon64 regarding 8-Bit Guys computer but I will buy one for sure. Looks awesome
  3. I wish there was a upgrade to some of the old game machines, but not too much. I woulda loved it if there was a 2600 II that had 5 sound channels(or a pokey), 512K ram, Maybe 4 player sprites, 2 balls, and 4 missiles, 2Mhz CPU but mostly the same limitations as before. What do you guys think about something like that? I would've liked something like that with the C64 too, 6 channel SID, 32 colors, 128K ram.....etc I know there was one in development that was sort of like that. The Commodore 65 I think. If someone made a machine like that I would buy it instantly!
  4. Literally every post you make is an unnecessary attack of some sort. Going back through your posts, what good have you contributed at all? You just try, try and try to provoke but somehow we're supposed to see Vladd as the bad guy right? Get a life
  5. Not sure if you guys noticed, but the eyes of all the characters need to be separate sprites so they can appear in front of the foreground scenery like the trees
  6. Oof Rescue looks awesome!

  7. Sounds like you're joking, but he speaks the truth! People in Florida really do this, I was at Walmart in Merritt Island and the sign said "Winter Coats" and it was a bunch of hoodies. LOL
  8. I feel ya Vlad, I used to have an '81 Monte Carlo that would get stuck in any amount of snow and ice here in Ohio. I've driven through some terrible storms and got stuck miles away from home so I had to leave my car and walk home freezing, slipping and sliding the whole way in just a t-shirt(because I wasn't expecting to be out in the elements so I didn't bring a coat.) That was a fun day
  9. Tell Jeff to widen the gap on those stupid bullhorns! Just a little bit please. I always get on a roll and then slam the bullhorns every time.
  10. You can't just stop there, tell us more! You mean his newer games like Polybius or what?
  11. If I remember right, they had to hand solder resistors onto the the Robotron carts to fix a bug because they used the wrong version instead of the final source for them.
  12. Wasn't Super Pacman one of the games that they made carts for the wrong version of the game? I think SuperPac and Robotron suffered from this if my memory is right. EDIT: Aahh found this: http://www.dadhacker.com/blog/?p=695
  13. You guys attack him, then get mad when he retaliates. Wtf? I read through this whole thread at one point and never at any point did Vlad cast the first stone. You guys are like the 80's school bully that makes you hit yourself with your own fist. "Stop hitting yourself! Stop hitting yourself!" He's a programmer, doing cool projects, and writing a thread about it describing what he's doing. Somehow some of you decided that was worth attacking him for, wtf? I enjoy reading his posts and watching his engine progress so please stop trying to poke him with a stick and get him banned. I'd like to keep watching his projects grow.
  14. I liked Motor Psycho too, I wish it had more variety because it's really close to being a super cool game. MIA is something I've been hoping a complete version would pop out of nowhere and surprise us one day.
  15. Wow, that dude completely disappeared. None of his links exist anymore. Not even the Soundcloud page.
  16. Aha! Found a good video that shows it: Skip to around 2:30 to see it displayed with Commander Keen.
  17. Man I'm gonna have to dig, but I think it was either 8-bit Guy or LGR that showed it in a video. EDIT: Actually I think it was Pixelmusement, I'm searching for it.
  18. There's something similar with PC Speaker emulation in DOSbox, on a real PC Speaker games like Duke Nukem had a phase effect that you don't hear at all in the emulator. There are some videos on YT that show this!
  19. That's depressing, I bought it immediately just to support the idea of it. I've not played it much as I have thousands of games to get through in my Steam library alone but I hate that games like this don't see more sales.
  20. It's a Donner Dynamic Auto-Wah, there's no pedal, it automatically does the wah when you strum.
