  3. Forgot I had done a few deals here back when I first joined after lurking for awhile (and then going back to it!) - http://atariage.com/forums/topic/174982-maverick/ If you're on the fence, shoot me an offer! Qbert Jump Serial #2 with serial placard signed by Warren Davis is still available!
  4. Great transaction and communication with this guy - thanks so much for your purchase!
  5. Wow. Five days, zero views on the thread. I have to say I'm a bit surprised Will give it one more day, then I'm offering these on other sites as well.

  8. Weird... If memory serves, that's the memory area where they would have had to add in the dram chips and filter caps to upgrade the internal memory from 512kb to 1mb. I've never seen someone cover them with electrical tape - wonder if that was a precaution, of if he had something shorting out? Nice looking system! - mine all yellowed with age, even boxed up in a closet. Gotta love it For those that don't know, you can use your PC to write out ST floppies onto 720kb DD disks - makes it really, really easy to get going with this system. GLWTS!
  9. TL:DR Version: Brand new, never played, untouched Qbert Jump Serials 2 and 14 up for grabs, PM offers. Serial Placards autographed by Warren Davis and untouched since. Payment via Paypal F&F, shipping/local pickup available. Well, as the title says... I've two carts available, serials 2 and 14 out of 20. These are the non-Autograph versions, as there were only 5 of those: Scott reserved 4 for people who helped with development and sold 1 at open auction for $379. These HAVE BEEN AUTOGRAPHED BY WARREN DAVIS! - well, the serial placards have. As the regular games didn't have an autograph slot, and I planned on actually playing the game, I didn't see the point in putting the autograph on something that would go in and out of my Atari and get my greasy fingers all over the face, etc. As I told Scott when I purchased these, I was buying one for me, and one for a buddy. And if my buddy didn't want his, then his was going to auction. Unfortunately, I was laid off from my job of 18 years a week after Freeplay, so everything went on hold. I've never touched the game carts, and the serial placards haven't been out of the package since Warren signed them for me during Freeplay. Oh, and yes the sticker, manual, and serial placard is included with both games (sticker is behind the placard on one of them) At this point, I'm still among the ranks of the unemployed, and I've decided that these need to go to someone that will enjoy them. Hopefully someone with deep pockets, as Poppa's got bills Open to offers - please PM me, and don't forget to specify which one you're interested in. I'll check once or twice a day, and will get back to you. Please be aware that payment is via Paypal F&F, and shipping would be via USPS Priority with Insurance and signature required. If you're local to me, there is an option to meet, depending on distance. I don't have alot of history on AtariAge, as I mostly ever just lurked here, but I hung my hat for several years at the www.vintage-computer.com forums, I'm known to Hamster at The Village BBS (www.villagebbs.com), and more recently, am active on several Facebook groups, including the Tampa Bay Retro Gamers forum where I also have references. I also used to be heavily involved and was an active member of the dev team at the CoinOPS Project, and I have a perfect feedback on eBay for almost 20 years - I just don't like selling certain items on there due to fear of dishonest buyers (right now, my pocketbook couldn't handle being screwed by dishonest buyers on higher-end items).
  10. Just wanted to add my feedback here... I purchased a Berzerk wall art set from Brian, and the transaction went quite well. Thanks, bud!
  11. If you've an Atari ST mouse, they can usually be modified pretty easily to work with Amigas (many 3rd party ones even had a switch to be used with either computer) Have you tried the monitor cable? The 23-pin side is usually missing many pins, and the 9-pin side can miss one or two. You can also wire up your own Amiga side.
  12. You don't have any higher-res pictures of this? They're small enough that any detail is lost. To me, with this level of detail, it looks like you just modded a small industrial enclosure. This isn't to say that one couldn't tell at a glance that much work was put into this, but with the asking price, I would expect higher-resolution pictures showing the detail level of that work, since the work is where the primary cost is involved. Further, you make no mention of the hard drive, whether it was upgraded (and to what), whether it's IDE or SATA, etc. One would think that would be important, and would allow for some of the cost too (i.e. my X-Box has a brand new Seagate 2tb drive in it - that's $100 alone)
  13. I have one that I bought new and have taken out of the box twice. My intention was to mod it, but I decided that I didn't like the dimensions for a 2-player stick, and then strangely enough, I went back to using my single-player MAS stick. The glue holding the box together was failing the day that it arrived, so while it IS boxed and complete, the box isn't perfect. Note that mine didn't come with the carrying case that some of the Battlestation II's came with. What's it worth to you? Got a Halo Green or Blue original X-Box system? you don't want or need? Maybe an X3 front replacement panel with the LCD and extra USB ports for the X-Box? (just tossing out ideas of things I'd trade for)
  14. Here is my quote: Here is yours. Guess you missed the part where I was the guy defending you. i.e. "Everyone ultimately ends up happy, and no one is deceiving anyone" and "He lucked up and fairly turned a dime at auction - nothing wrong with that, or with this." Read more closely next time before jumping on the guy defending you. Though to answer your question - me? I'd have purchased it at cost (it was from a dealer who paid probably a quarter for it in trade), and I'd have held onto it for awhile as a jewel of my collection, and then I'd have flipped it down the road. Same thing that I plan on doing with my $100 Amiga 4000T that I got off of Craigslist. Or my sealed Ninja Gaiden Trilogy that I got for a few bucks. Or my sealed retail Commander Keen Goodbye Galaxy trilogy recently purchased at a thrift store for $15. As someone said, it's a free market system. As long as no one is cheating or deceiving anyone - jewing them down on pricing when it was already a steal, putting new labels on carts missing them and not stating as such, counterfeiting, etc - then there's nothing wrong with picking something up for a song and flipping it for a tidy sum to fund other endeavors, whether it be rent/food/essentials, or more toys for the collection. People do this all the time, and everyone here has done it at one point or another. The only ones who continue to gripe about it are the ones who wished that they were the ones that found the deal in the first place. Heh... by some of you guys' standards, my cousin should've been drawn and quartered for paying $9 at a single yard sale 18 months ago for a sealed SNES Earthbound, open/complete/like new SNES Earthbound, sealed SNES Mario Kart, sealed SNES Mario RPG, and a handful of other loose games like Final Fantasy II and III, Contra Alien Wars, and a few random sports games. He didn't tell them what they were worth, but he gave them what they thought the items were worth and they were escatically happy to be rid of some "old junk." BTW, he flipped that $9 sale into over $3000 on ebay. It went against his mortgage and a vehicle repair. Oh, and three weeks later, he found a sealed SNES Sunset Riders at a yard sale for $5. Flipped that one for $680. You guys get the horses, I'll get the knives. We'll teach him how to be "honest!"
  15. Everyone here has found "deals," whether it's in the wild or not. Ultimately, any item sold is only worth what someone will pay for it. It was worth "pennies" at a yard sale to the original owner, and it'll be worth hundreds or thousands at auction. So what? Everyone ultimately ends up happy, and no one is deceiving anyone. Saying otherwise is like saying that the CGC 8.x Action Comics #1 that was found within as part of the insulation in a demolitioned wall wasn't worth spit simply because the guy got for it fore free. Bull. He lucked up and fairly turned a dime at auction - nothing wrong with that, or with this.
  16. Bump... Anyone? As I re-read my post, I didn't mean to imply NO cash, just can't do all cash. I'm hoping more for item/services trades, of course. LMK!
  17. ISTR that someone was working on ripping PCjr cartridges and making them playable from diskette. Don't remember how far along the project got, or what cartridges exactly were ripped. I think I remember who the guy was that was working on this - I'll contact him and see what's up. FWIW, since Mike Brutman's page has been referenced, check out XT-IDEjr project. Running an 8gb disk-on-module with 768kb or RAM and a functional clock on the PCjr from a single sidecar? Awesome! (I need to pull mine back out and play some more...)
  18. As the title says... I'm a bit behind the times, having just gotten into X-Box modding, but I'm looking for a "new" blinged out personal system. or 3 As such, I'm looking for an Xecuter 3 modchip, and an X3 LCD front replacement panel with the LED lights/switches on the left, and the spare USB ports on the right. Any color at this point, though preferably transluscent green or blue. That said... I'm also looking for transluscent green and blue cases. Either the official Microsoft ones (Halo 1 and 2 editions, I believe), or XCM cases - no Ghost cases please. I'm not looking to pay an arm and a leg in cash - can't do that, unfortunately. What I can offer is some services or trades... I've done LCD mods on my two Sega Nomad systems, and can do one for you. I can recap your Turbo Grafx Express (or pretty much any other system) I can wire up your fightstick with an MC-Cthulu (you supply the stick) I can fix your computer (yeah. I know. But figured I'd toss it up anyway) I can trade you some 1980's and early 1990's Sierra adventure games, CIB (I collect Sierra's games, and I have quite a few spares. Even a few prized sealed copies) I can trade you some computers (I've everything from C64 setups, Amiga 500/1200, Amiga 500/1200 expansions, completely configured DOS 486 systems - you tell me what you're looking for, I'll tell you that I probably have it and can do it) Any other ideas? Have what I want, but looking for something I haven't listed? Looking for what I have listed? PM me and let's talk! I don't have alot of cred here (only 1 trade, which should be in the feedback thread), but I'm well known over at vintage-computer.com with dozens of deals done, and I've got an ebay history going back to 1999 with perfect feedback and nearly 1000 ratings. Let's talk
  19. You should visit vintage-computer.com and post about the problem there. There's also some folks there who MIGHT be willing to do what you ask.
  20. I appreciate the feedback, Greg2600 - just to note, I'm the same Maverick in this feedback thread - please post there. Note to mods: please combine these threads at your earliest convenience. Thanks!
  21. I appreciate the input. While I know that eBay is never the best measuring stick, in the last 90 days, these have closed out at anywhere from $75-$150 and everything in between for various boxed/unboxed units, with or without the games. I'm just curious what kind of interest/price it would generate here (I prefer to buy on ebay, not sell, assuming that I do let this go - I like it, I just haven't used it in forever, and it takes up alot of space!)
