  1. so i did come up with a name for the game, i told my friend sam that i would put him in a game, so i told him i was making a new one and he got excited so i named it "Sam's Story" and he is the main character.


  2. i knew about it and i was gonna use it, but people were gonna be like "what? whats this playfield editor thing? what do i do here?" because i'm the only person at my school who knows what Batari is really. barely anyone knows what a coding language is.


  3. no offense RT, but just looking at your codes and sample files like that gets me nowhere, like if you took the parts out that i need specifically then posted them and told me how to use them and what they did then i'd understand better.


  4. well this is just the first little piece of it, i am going to add a missile but make it act as a sword and things like that, but i went ahead and made the enemy so that i can work with lives and such.


  5. I am making an adventure type game right now, no name for it yet, do i have just titled it "RPG 2011 FH" (FH are my initials)

    collision detection with enemy

    lives

     

     

    i need help the following:

    sound

    making a sword or a weapon to hit with

    more screens than just one

    how to get rid of the spaces between lines on a playfield

    animation.

     

    i will upload my code along with a .bin file of it.

  6. Purple screen of death (PSOD) is a very precise problem. not enough RAM to play your ROM file, so the atari flips out. it shows a black screen then purple starts coming in from the sides and sound ascends in pitch until the purple meets and then makes an ugly sound that will give little kids nightmares.

     

    it usually happens because of the following:

     

    too many banks

    too big of playfield/playerx

    too many players

    or just too much happening in your game.

     

     

     

    if your ROM file exceeds more than 4k (4 kilobytes) then you need to check your code.

     

    my uploader on atariage isn't working right so i'll give you my code that will do this.

     

    the way i got psod in this is from too big of a sprite. (way too big)

  7. thanks my friends are enjoying this and laughing about it(: now to plan more serious work. first i need ideas. get with my filmmaking team later for ideas. im thinking of doing an adventure type or et type game (just not one that would cause the market to crash)


  8. i mean i just want it to pop up, cus my friends and i have recently watched asdf movie 2 on youtube (if you havent seen it, then watch it) and a guy on there says i like trains, so some friends just asked me to make a train and the smoke pops out when you fire.

     

    they think its funny that i like atari stuff btw


  9. i want to make it to where when i press the fire button on joy0 that player 0 pops out and dissapears once joy0fire is released. im pretty sure it would start with
