  1. I picked up an 800xl, two 1050 disk drives, and a bag of carts this week, but no power supplies or I/O cable. Does anyone have an 800xl power supply, a 1050 power supply (same as 800xl PS?), and an I/O cable to hook the two together, that they would sell or trade? I don't really have much to trade, just some common 2600s (the best of which is enduro--blue label), a few SMS carts, maybe one of the 1050 drives if they both work, some INTV stuff... I'm probably looking to buy. Thanks, CS
  2. Don't know if this helps, but I've found every label variation that I had a question about is accounted for here. http://www.digitpress.com/faq/labels26.txt

  4. Last update for this list. After tomorrow, what can go on eBay will, and the rest . There are a couple of free NES manuals in this list...I just need an address. Thanks to everyone who took a look this weekend. This was my first attempt at trading through AA. I hope I didn't piss anyone off. CS
  5. I ain't an expert either, but I liked Addams Family also. Doctor Who and Bride of Pinbot were favorites as well.

  7. here is the post part "I"
  8. If your PM dosen't get through, post to the thread directly to get my attention. Thanks
  9. EDITED LIST REFLECTING WHAT'S LEFT I am attempting to get organized. I would like to clear out these miscellaneous items that have been taking up space. Most of these items are the remnants of abandoned collections and old trades, the others were “what the hell is that? I better buy it in case it’s cool” purchases. I’m mostly interested in trading for any 2600 or 5200 carts that I don’t own. I’m also looking for select SNES and TI-99/4A carts, especially SNES Micro Machines. 7800 game trades are also welcome, and I’d like to find some working 5200 controllers. If you have any interest in these items or any questions, PM me and I can give you a list of the carts I need for the consoles listed above (I still need many commons!). Loose carts are fine and instructions are always nice, but I don’t collect boxes. Items with an * are for sale or trade. All other items are just for trade. GENESIS Road Rash II w/ box, no instructions. INTELLIVISION Intellivoice Module - CIB* Intellivoice Carts: Tron: Solar Sailor - CIB B-17 Bomber - CIB Advanced Dungeons & Dragons - CIB Space Armada - CIB JAGUAR Vid Grid CD w/ case & instructions NES NARC - Manual Only - FREE Rad Racer II - Manual Only - FREE GAME GEAR Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Sonic Tails Jurassic Park VIRTUAL BOY Mario Tennis - Loose MP1000 Baseball - Loose TRS-80 Color Cubes - Loose RCA STUDIO II III Tennis/Squash - CIB IV Baseball - CIB AQUARIUS Tron: Deadly Disks - Loose Utopia - Loose Atari 400/800/XL 410 Cassette Data Recorder - with box and instructions* Thanks, CS
  10. On more thought... When will we be considering the 2600, INTV, O^2, etc., as antiques? In twenty years will the vintage threshold shift? Will what we now consider vintage, be considered antique?
  11. There has to be a distinction between vintage and classic. There are many things that are "instant classics" the moment they are released, just as there are many old things (vintage) that no one cares about that are not classics. That being said, I don't think in the world of home video consoles that being vintage should be a function of the consoles age. Rather, a console should be considered vintage based on whether it comes before or after a certain threshold. I think the year 1983 makes a good boundry for this distinction. Anything produced before Dec. 31, 1983 is vintage. Anything that came after is not. However, this dosen't mean that a vintage console is a classic, and a classic console doesn't have to be vintage. What makes a console a classic is a matter of opinion, and I don't think there can ever be agreement on that subject. IMO, If the famicon was released in Japan in 1983 then, perhaps, it is vintage in Japan. If the NES was released in the U.S. after 1983, then in the U.S., it is not vintage.
  12. I thing the terms vintage and classic refer to different qualities of a collectable. Vintage implies length of existence, or age of a collectable. Classic implies enduring worth or significance. Therefore, I would consider the 2600 to be vintage and classic. While I consider the NES a classic, it is NOT vintage. My two cents. CS
  13. I'd wager that the 4 switch woodies are the most common, and the Sears consoles are the least common.
  14. What is the problem exactly? I've been wondering lately if PMs are not getting through to me. Of course, it could just be that I'm being ignored... .
  15. Yes, it's RGB, but, I'd rather not break up the pair.
  16. I need a console top for a four-switch 2600. Can anyone help me out? Thanks
  17. Brian, I'm going back this week to the thrift where I got these carts to see if there is anymore Aquarius stuff. I picked up the carts not knowing what system they were for. I believe the thrift may have had the whole system and I just missed it because I wasn't really looking for it, I'm quite certain that I saw a cassette data recorder with the words Aquarius on it. If I don't find anymore Aquarius stuff, then I'll be looking to trade these carts, although I'd like to trade all four.
