  1. O.K., regardless of the nickname, can someone interpret the S/N of this model for me. Thanks
  2. I place this clause in all my auction listings and I've never had a (0) feedback bidder make contact with me before bidding. But, I've never had a (0) feedback who didn't pay. (Off-topic) People also ignore my request to skip checkout. Not a big deal, but skipping checkout helps to keep my e-mail volumes down, and that minimizes my confusion when running multiple auctions on similar items.
  3. Thanks for the info everyone. Not knowing what system they were for, I picked up Tron, Utopia, FinForm, and FileForm. Interesting cartridge design, but it looks like they'll be joining the other lost souls at the bottom of my junk pile. Hey, Tron, when you get there, say hello to K.C. Munchkin for me.
  4. I just scored my first H6 this week. It doesn't have a channel select switch. I don't know what channel it works on because I haven't hooked it up yet. It's in excellent shape, better than any other Atari 2600 console I own. I must say that these consoles are beautiful. Everything about them feels so solid. I particularly like the feel of the switch mechanisms. The H6 has an aesthetic that is missing in later versions. Anyway...the S/N reads 007621. Do the leading zeros of this serial number get truncated so that the serial number is just 7621? Do the serial numbers reflect the order of manufacture?
  5. Do Mattel Aquarius computer cartridges have any value?
  6. My (light) sixer looks like that inside. I've never taken my heavy-sixer apart, but it is heavier than my (light) sixer. I think there is even more shielding in a heavy-sixer. BTW, I love my heavy-sixer.
  7. I've got a 1040 STf with a SC 1224 color monitor and some miscellaneous disks? (no mouse ). I'd like to trade this for a working 5200 or 7800, but cash is good too. Anyone interested in this machine? Thanks
  8. My family was staying at a Travel Lodge motel. The motel must have had a game room off the lobby, or they had some games near the ice and soda machines, I don't exactly recall, but one of the games they had was Pac-Man. Because I'd never seen it before, I put in a quarter and went to work...got my ass kicked. I didn't know what you were supposed to do. The game was not intuitive for a first time player used to space-shooters and pong. I didn't know what to make of the game. It seemed very bizzare. There were a couple of other kids there (without quarters) who were very excited by the game and new enough about it to ridicule my play. That episode put me off playing Pac-Man throughout its heday. Only later did I return to the console and become addicted.

  10. Quazik, I sent you a PM , I didn't get a response. I assume this means that you aren't interested in what I have, or else you don't have what I'm looking for in trade?
  11. Oh, then I'd have to change my answer on #4 and say that it is Kim Campbell's mother. I have no idea what her name is...something Douglass...Phaedra Douglass maybe?--Total guess.
  12. 1. Lillian Carter 2. Grace Elliot Trudeau 3. Sara Roosevelt 4. Fatmawati Sukarno 5. Martha Truman 6. Helen Shaw McDonald
  13. It's clearly Crane, but don't forget, it's HAIR and it's on his HEAD, and that's all that matters!
  14. Without the hookups, its definitely not worth $15. The TI-99/4A has a proprietary RF modulator that can be difficult to acquire independently.
  15. I had to take a long road trip on Monday so I decided to hit a few thrift stores along the way to my destination. In the “collectables” cabinet of one store, I found a boxed vader console on display. The description on the item tag read something like “Vintage Atari game system, mint condition...”. Underneath this description, the tag continued with “eBay value = $500 to $1000”. I had to read that line three times before I could accept it. Compared to such a figure, the asking price of $125 actually seemed reasonable. Besides Pac-Man, there were no games included. Furthermore, the item was far from mint--the box was being held together with masking tape. All I could do was shake my head and leave the store. How could someone possibly arrive at that figure? This was my first experience with a thrift store attempting to establish the value of an item in this manner. The whole thing strikes me as dishonest, especially for a donation-based, non-profit, assistance-focused thrift store. Ironically, twenty miles down the road, I picked up a vader console in excellent condition for $3. What the hell is going on?
  16. I don't own an Atari 8-bit or collect for them, and yet somehow I have a copy of "Demon Attack".
  17. I picked up a box of 78 carts a few months ago for $33. 64 originals, 10 duplicates, and two 7800 carts. A nice mix of 1,2,3, and 4s. No 5s. One 6--Frogger II. Nothing rarer.
  18. I loved the Ultima series. My fondest memories are of II and III (wasn't it Love, Sol, Moon, and Death?) I played I-VI, but it just wasn't the same after V. I still have IV and V complete for the Apple II and VI for the PC. I'd love to get a copy of Ultima II for the apple II, but...$$$. I do have the two Ultima II disks loose for the Atari 8-bit however, but I don't know if they work(doubtful) as I don't have an Atari to test them.
  19. Are you looking to trade only or would you buy?
  20. Nevermind. Found the answer under "WHAT IS THIS WORTH!!??" Video Vegas.
