Games that need reboots/remakes?
Christophero Sly replied to KWKBOX's topic in Classic Console Discussion
None. Make new games. -
What was YOUR very first computer?
Christophero Sly replied to OldSchoolRetroGamer's topic in Classic Computing Discussion
TI-99/4A -
There's a list of red label variants in the first post of this thread. The list hasn't been updated in forever, but I reckon it still contains some useful information.

Christophero Sly replied to ComputerSpaceFan's topic in Atari 2600
I like it. -
Atari 2600 3rd Party Games: Imagic or M-Network?
Christophero Sly replied to Shawn's topic in Poll Forum
Good question. I can easily pick a favorite in every other matchup of VCS publishers, but this one gives me pause. -
Haven't played it in over a year.

Software to manage your collection?
Christophero Sly replied to HatefulGravey's topic in Classic Console Discussion
This question comes up all the time. My answer is always the same: I keep it all in my head. Works better than anything else I've tried. -
Opinion on Video Game Manuals
Christophero Sly replied to Codester78's topic in Classic Console Discussion
When it comes to disc-based games, having a manual is essential, unless the game never included a manual to begin with (a disappointing modern development). I'm more flexible (or should I say, "pragmatic") when it comes to cartridge-based games. For some systems, such as the VCS, I've tracked down manuals for nearly every game I have. For other systems, such as the SNES, I couldn't care less about having manuals. -
Ms. Pac-Man. If I'm in the mood for a game, I usually reach for the VCS version.

Do you spend more money on vintage or modern games?
Christophero Sly replied to Shawn's topic in Poll Forum
Modern. -
Dust: An Elysian Tale (Mac) Solid gameplay, just not very deep. I was't wild about the anthropomorphic character designs, but, overall, the art direction was superb. The music was excellent as well. I didn't care for the story or voice acting, however. Just too much angsty-pathos for my tastes. There's a great deal of backtracking in the game, but little incentive to undertake much of it. A few tweaks to the game's layout would remedy that and greatly improve the flow of the game. (7/10)

The great thrift store famine
Christophero Sly replied to mehguy's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Haven't had a good gaming find in a thrift for nearly a decade. I don't even bother going into them anymore. Like someone already said, it's not just games; there's really isn't anything good to be found at the thrifts anymore. -
Has anyone ever used the paddle controllers made by this company (Gemini)? I may not be wild about their Gemstick controller, but their paddle controller is the best I've ever used; zero jitter.

What Are Some of the Best Indie Games?
Christophero Sly replied to Games Retrospect's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Bastion is the best "indie" game I've played. -
I have a few of these. Never really liked them. Actually, I've never really liked any third-party 2600 stick.

Games That Make You Lose Track Of Time

All of them. -
Costume Quest (Mac) Moderately charming, but not enough to look past the brief, shallow, and repetitive gameplay. 5/10

Did a deal for a couple of XBOX games. Great communication. Items as described. Smooth transaction.

I've got a number of MacUser and Macworld magazines from the early to mid 90's. Would anyone here be interested in these? For example, would anyone be interested in 11 issues of MacUser from 1992 for 50¢ an issue, shipped in a Medium Priority Flat Rate box costing $11.95, making the total $17.45?
