  1. Sneece.

:P Just kidding. I've never enunciated the abbreviation. It sounds dumb. "Sness"? Who says that? I say either Super N.E.S. or Super Nintendo.

It's like saying "Lol" in real life instead of just actually laughing.

Almost said the same thing in my post. But then I remembered I now people that say "lol". Losers!

At the risk of making a generalisation here, I've noticed down the years that most folk from the US that I've heard refer to the console most often say "S.N.E.S." or "Super Nintendo" whereas most folk from the UK tend to say either "Snes" (commonly pronounced "Snez") or "Super Nintendo". Just my two cents, er, I mean 0.015 (approx.) GB Pounds Sterling!

I have noticed the same thing and didn't say it to stay out of trouble. Seems like a European thing to me.

Must be why I say snes and nes.

  2. I also notice, but can't confirm that there's no coaxial port for even some RF love for older consoles.

Thats what the VCR is for. My SuperBetamax's primary function is to convert RF to composite. Which latter in turn gets converted to HDMI.

Problem: My PS2 uses s-Video. While composite is available, yes, but I would prefer S-video. The component cables I tried with my PS2 simply don't work.

Did you make sure to go into system settings and change RGB to Y/Pb/Pr?

The only things I would use with S-Video are S-VHS and SuperBetamax.

  3. Check out an IT Silver Strike 2007 Bowling game sometime to see how adversely HD's and the Windoze file system affect modern video games. When you're done with that, tell me how much you reminisce the Windoze 3.1 screen saver running on a powerful 486 Packard Bell.

:| ... Why? Why would I comment about that? That has nothing to do with the original discussion. I'm not here to dispute what you posted (whether it's correct or not, I don't know or care).

    Then why bring it up?

Arkhan, correct me if I'm wrong - but no one is saying otherwise about your game. Why do constantly have to bring that up when anyone remotely mentions something about graphics or GFX or pushing a system? Are you that insecure about it, that you have to constantly outwardly project your own confidence that "simple can be fun", to convince others? People already understand that (this thread isn't a debate about that, in case you haven't noticed). And on the flip side, people also like games that do push the hardware. You even see it here. Any game that pushes any Atari system is immediately herald as a great achievement (Lynx, A8, 7800, etc). So dial your insecurities back a notch. It's past getting old.

    Wow really? Really?

I mean it's quite simple. People speak from experience. It's what they know. You talk to a game programer and they are gonna say "well when I was working on etc..." Arkhan only has the one game to go off of. He's just starting and it's all he knows, for now. You need to grow up and get a live instead of trolling.

Also learn how to quote douchebag.

  4. Well how about that, I never noticed it didn't do decimals.

Gonna have to try the rom of version 3.

heh, same thing. More reason to get an MSX then.

  5. I am honestly an LCD gamer. Prefer it way more then having a CRT. (about here is where all the people who are Pro CRT and dicks, tell me I have never lived or something along those lines.) LCD's just have a sharpness and clarity to it that I just like more. Plus they don't usually overscan. I can actually see the edges of the screen in Vasteel (TGCD/PCECD).

My suggestion for LCD gaming, Get a Pyle Home PSCHD45 SCART to HDMI Converter and SCART cables for all your systems. Looks great.

But I'm sure the Pro CRT comity will be prepared to tell me I am wrong, so what you should do is take a/some system(s) to a friend who has an LCD and see if it's something you would like to use. Otherwise hang on to the CRT and just buy your HDTV.

As the sole member of the Pro LCD, they look fine, comity I rest my case.

    PS.

    TVs I've used in my experience (Sharp 42" 1080p, Sharp 52" 1080p, Westinghouse 32" 720p, Viewsonic 24" 1080p)

  6. Yes, I have a 128+save card and turbo duo. It works, and with the recent menu it works better than ever. If anyone has had trouble with one of these cards, try it with the new programmer and menu software.

One thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to use the save memory. I haven't gotten any help from the forums either. I tried loading the Ten No Koe bank rom on my flash cart, and it ran, but I couldn't copy anything from the console memory to the card. Has anyone done this successfully?

The SRAM only works if the game you're playing supports SRAM. Try out Neutopia and see if it notices the "File Cabinet"

anyway the 128M neoflash kicks ass. Ive never had problems with it.

So does the 128MB avec save, override the console SRAM?
