I use a pretty old 80's Emerson, woodgrain sides, has the little "stick" to adjust the contrast and stuff.

It doesn't work all that well, fades in and out of a greenscreen occasionally, I just prefer to play on "my old TV".

    How many inches?

  2. He responded to my pm.  He is fine.  No fraud.

Fear not, your 5200 is in good hands. I had been confronted with a personal tragedy which was a protracted and miserable time.  I am now back home and able to address your console repair.

There was more but you get the idea.

I'm ok with the $70 games.. makes them $90 Canadian for me... add tax and they will be a cool $100 and change.  I got a disc based PS5 as I will resell my games after I'm done and recoup some of the cost... it's rare that I want to keep a game after I've finished with it.  There are exceptions but 90% of the current gen games are play and sell... it's why I don't go digital in the first place.  Sure I'll grab some indie games from time to time but I'm also spending a lot less on those.

I'm looking forward to the next generation and I'm hoping to be playing some Gran Turismo in 2021... I skipped GTSport.  Never played Demon Souls so that'll be a launch play for me.  Looking forward to it.

I will get a set of headphones at some point... my 6 year old pair of Golds are finally starting to fall apart.  lol  They still work great but the covers on the cushions are peeling.  They'll work until I get the ps5 ones... man they sold really fast!

100 a game is toi much.  5 is the cost of the system.  10 is double the cost of the system.  I am sorry, but games should not cost more than the system.

  4. I bought this for 9 dollars and 9 cents.

Here is an identical one.  I did not want to pay so much so I took a chance on the other one.

No adapter is included.  Its only 1 amp so my generic universals I have at home should work.  But on the adapter in the second link it does not say polarity.  Nor anywhere on the device in the first or second link it does not say what polarity.  How can I tell which polarity is needed?

Picked up this guy from a Japanese seller on ebay for fairly cheap,  in mostly working condition.  It's filthy,  badly yellowed and has vertical lines out.  Overall,  should be an easy fix up. 20201001_190138.thumb.jpg.a9420cb6f9c2fcee593c358934db0872.jpg

Almost 1/4 of the screen is out.

Disassembled and cleaned.  Certified hand cheese free.

Placed the shell in a zip lock full of peroxide.  I'll set it in the sun for today and a UV light overnight.

In the meantime,  I'll work on fixing the vertical lines by soldering the cold joints on the ribbon cable.  I'll clean the pcb, contacts,  switches and pots while it's out.

    Good as new.

Hopefully,  tomorrow I'll have a nice non yellow shell to post...

How much was it?  I also got a mint condition loose gameboy original on ebay several years ago for 10 dollars and free shipping.  Fully functional.  Except plastic screen was glue on but with some velcro I fixed that.  And it looked slight lighted crooked screen so I opened her up but could not fix it.  No lines though and no yellowing.  He said he had no batteries to test and seemed odd.  But I took a chance and it worked great.
