This somewhat awkward looking adapter for SNES or NES controller to Amiga should work well for ikonsgr's Amiga to 5200 adapter, since the 9 pin end is designed for the Amiga. It will also work with the 8bitdo SNES console adapter that works with a bunch of different wireless controllers.

    It is from sordan.ie

I mentioned that before. But was not sure if it would work. Thanks for confirming.

The only thing that I can think of other than that, I guess, is that the NES just wasn't designed to accept the FDS RAM adaptor thingy and maybe they didn't want to have to redesign that as well. By the time the hardware got a redesign, the Super Famicom was already on the market in Japan and maybe the Super Nintendo was already released as well, so in that case I imagine they'd want to focus on their newest console, despite the NES doing very well overall, at least in the USA.

    This sounds right.

You can use the ram cart with a toaster but its not ergonomical.  So would of been need to redesign the NES to fit.

  3. This just popped up on my phone first link.  Apparently lots of others are saying the same thing so must be.  I don't have a switch.  If I got one not sure how often I would play.

“If the battery in your game system is not charged or used for a long time, it will not be able to charge.

Please adapt to your system and charge once every six months."

The above bold text is from the second link.  Is that true?  I know that is the whole point of buying a switch.  But if you get busy or do not play everyday that is not good.  And also if the battery and system is brand new why would it matter?  Why would not charging for a long time make it not recharge?

  4. I have good and bad news.  The Rtero-bit bluetooth adapter arrived today in the mail.  Works on my low budget masterplay clone.  But with a wiimote only buttons like swing vines in jungle hunt.  Directions do not work at all though liken in pacman.

As for ikonsgr adapter nothing happens at all.  No lights or anything.  Maybe if he revises it will.  But for now nothing.  But not bad still because it will still work in  my real genesis.

I'd say go ahead and put in the order for the next batch with the revision.  If you feel the need, you can state in its description that - when it comes to the Genesis controller- you do not recommend using anything other than 1st party Sega Genesis controllers.  But I really don't think that's necessary.

So you are saying 3rd party does not work and will fry the adapter?

I'm in no huge hurry to buy a PS5, but I will get one next year.  In the meantime, I'm having to rethink my whole entertainment center including buying a 4K tv and A/V receiver.

I've been trying to find some specifics about the HD audio side of PS5, and I'm coming up short.  Sony has not confirmed or denied (that I can find) that the PS5 will have Dolby Atmos support.  I know Sony has their proprietary Tempest 3D Audio technology for gaming, but I can't find if games will (also) support Atmos, or if only disc-based movies will support Atmos, or neither of the above.

Since I will need to buy a new A/V receiver, I have to wonder if it's really worth it to run video thru a receiver anymore?  It would only introduce lag and/or artifacts, and I believe the LG OLED I'm looking at would do any upscaling if needed (instead of the receiver).  I'm thinking a setup like this would work best:

PS5 --HDMI 2.1--> tv --HDMI 2.1--> soundbar or audio-only receiver

    Any thoughts?

    No dolby atmos

Not sure... I have my doubts it'd work.

I was just thinking maybe that is because the genesis is wired differently than the 7800.  The power is wired differently in a genesis so the 8bitdo adapter does not need the jumper wires.  And the 8bitdo does not draw power from the 7800 hence the wires.  So any bluetooth device would need jumper wires and not work.
