I want to keep it as stock as possible. I will look for an external solution.

Everything is stock except I upgraded to 4mb ram. Not sure where I put the originals. I have no scsi except the internal stock what ever it came with 20mb.

I ran first aid. Verify first. It said problems found. Then repair. It said cannot be repaired. Then I quit and the HD appeared. Now it loads boots off the HD. So I will format and be back to normal. Now maybe if I goto goodwill I will get lucky and find some used floppies. I need a way to get all the data off and then reformat. SCSI is too expensive.

The last image you posted has a cd icon and does not work on my pc. Says corrupted. But the other 7.5 disk tools image .dsk you posted works great. It looked as it was stuck on the welcome logo. I turned it off and back on. It booted finally got a desktop. Mega thanks. It was super slow but booted. About 5 minutes. On bootup it says need to initalize macintosh hd. I hope I did not break the internal HD. Hate to reformat it. But floppy is not busted at least.

Nice. The problem is my usb floppy is acting up. It loads on my G3 ibook but not my mac mini or pc. Sometimes it does and sometimes it does't. Might have to get a new one. I can load the files directly on my ibook g3 snow. But wifi does not work. Only ethernet. So not bad. But https: websites do not load. If I goto google it loads if I remove the S. But atariage does not load. It says https://www. If I remove the S is goes back to https://www. No way to load the atariage website so no way to download the files. I will keep trying and see maybe I will get lucky.

I dont have any external scsi stuff. And shift does not work. If the 7.5 is retail then it might work. I used to have 7.53 second revision floppies back then but tossed them. Wish I had not.

I bought a copy of Ontrack Disk Manager 2.23 for mac from ebay for 4 bucks. Its weird the images weird_w posted here work. But everything I downloaded does not. I mean it does not boot but it at least makes a system folder in OS9 on my ibook g3. The blank folder changes to a smiley face system folder. When I replace the system and finder with ones from the internet the smiley face disappears. Macintosh garden has ontrack images also. And sam antivirus. Both hae system folders. But when coppied to the floppy there is no happy mac face. Just a plain folder. Maybe the disk will help.

I opened the disk in os9 on my iBook g3. I opened the folder and closed it so it showed the system folder icon and then it worked so not bad. It did not spit out so at least the floppy drive is good. But it did give an error saying this machine is not caomptible 7.1 try a newer disk. I will try the others tomorrow and see. Mega thanks dude that worked. But the SE is still spitting out the disk. Maybe a bad floppy drive or disk. Hope its not the drive.

1.44. usb floppy does not work with 800. Luckily the SE FDHD models came with 1.44. So I can transfer back and forth. It was king of the time.

No cd. I can use external zip or something. But we got rid almost everything from back then. And Ebay is super expensive. So floppy for now. Imgs are not opening on my iBook g3. -54 error. Tried disk copy. Have stuffit also. I have a 2014 Mac mini also and a windows 10 touch screen laptop by HP with 1tb hd and 6gb of ram. I will keep trying. But if I could buy a cheap backup disk of Ebay that would be the best. I will try the disk tools I guess. But not sure if all disks had a system folder. Once SE FDHD had a hard drive there was no need probably. So not all disks had a system folder. I got a Microsoft flight simulator for Mac 1986. Hopefully that has a system folder. Its still in transit 10 days but should be here soon.

No luck so far nothing is working. Found another site trying mow. https://www.macintoshrepository.org/ Or a cheap floppy labled Powerbook 145b Disk Tools is on ebay for 5 bucks. But not sure if all disk tools had a system folder or some had just programs. Seller is not responding to messages. But powerboik 145b came with system 7.1 so that will boot.

Thanks. SE FDHD goes upto 7.5.5 and I upgraded to 4 mb ram. But its only 20mb hd so might not work. I have an old iboik g3 and g4. Cheap from ebay also. Using the g3. Have os9 and 10.2.4 and 10.3 installed. Separate partitions. I got a cheap usb floppy long time ago I forget where. I copied system 6 from my hd on the SE before it stopped working to the g3. After the SE stopped working I copied the system and finder back to a folder lable system folder. The SE spits out the disk. Not working. I hope the floppy drive did not break. When I get a new boot disk I will know for sure.

Thanks. Found a copy on macintosh garden. But had disk errors. Things would not copy to the hd. Got a bomb error. Now my SE FDHD yes black and white does not boot. Will be a few days before I can try arkanoid. Hopefully the microsoft flight simulator mac version I got has the system and finder and boots.

Macintosh SE?

I got a macally batwing few days ago. Now need to test with a few games. There was a game similar to arkanoid on my mac se 30 years ago. I cannot remember the name. There was mac brickout in 1993 but that was way after and only works on system 7. So it must of bee n another game cant remeber the name. I have system 6.

In the mean time I had to get a cheap spare off amazon. So I have 2 now. But both can go out again at any time. So I was just tossing around some ideas to keep that from happening again.

Or use a piece of plywood and tape everything to that. Then lift it out the box and play. And put back when done. Or plywood might be a fire hazzard?

If the lid is off heat should not be an issue. And no point in having 2 7800s. Loose no box neither will be worth much.

7800 adapter wears out after a lot of plugging and unplugging. I can send to someone to do barrel mod. But I want to keep stock as possible. I had a thought. What if I left it in the box all the time. I would unplug after each use. And not use for long periods. Some double face tape holds the ac adapter in place. And an extension cable connects the adapter to the wall. And same for the coax cable. Or from the tv it drapes over the back of the box with no extension cable. Extensions dont give clear picture. Or I can add holes to the back so the lid closes. Its just the right size even with cart and lid closes. But no need. I will uncover while playing and cover after done for storage. I was using a bigger box at first. The sterilite box I got from home depot would of needed holes. And my iris box was too big. But these blue boxes from walmart I think are just the right size. The ac adapter stays inside and never needs unplugging so it never wears out. only the extension. And I dont need holes for the controllers either because my seagulls stay in the box. And my 2 8bitdo bluetooth adapters connect to that. Wiimote works great. All stays in the box and never leaves. Or I can cut holes and use extensions to stick out. 7800 stays inside protected. Thanks but I am using the ignore feature to ignore him here. And yes I never said buy. The fact that nobody else bid proves its not worth it. I was also thinking as Tanooki and others said here there is no way to prove this is legit.
