We go that route for a lot of the ones we use for the Midwest Gaming Classic. I have ones that I've had running since 2001 with no problems, let alone the vintage CRT monitors from the 80's that I still use. And if a TV crt breaks down (which I have yet to have happen), as stated they're cheap enough to run down to the local thrift and get a new one. We just got a new sony 55" hidef. The old crt 60 inch was broken. Shaky and fuzzy lines. Then all of a suden no picture only sound untill I gave it a good slap. Then 2 days later picture went dead again. The tubes only have so much life. It was at least 10 or 15 years old. So nothing lasts for ever.

Works on my 18.5" coby lcd tv. Same adapter just silver instead of gold.

But at least it is possible to play again. A old crt tv is going to cost a lot also (especially one in good shape).

You could *cough* do this, or you could spend a little time and learn to fix it yourself. And probably *cough* burn the house down trying to fix it.

I always thought nes boxes were not representative of what I was getting. And all other systems. They goto make money and nobody will buy if it look like crap.

Just stuff some padding underneath. Like shove a pen underneath and it should keep the adapter propped up. Or try ebaying it for parts and getting another one,

Wii2 is all rumor. Probably never going to happen. As for the other thing they have a lot of those. Even one that plays nes and fc cartridges.

I got complete nes and rob with gun and gyromite and duckhunt for 130 dollars at kmart 86 or 87 don't remember. We gave everything away wish we hadn't. But started collecting again recently and bought a gyromite heavy with converter on ebay for 20.

Just wondering does anybody know. Did nes have any analog controllers or were they all digital including the original and dogbone. And also was nesmax analog or digital. One site said it was analog and one said digital.

Zylon, thanks for your help on the sound issue ! I ended up buying a pokey and the [2] 820pU mylar sounds caps... It was the caps ! sounds great now ! Glad to hear it. I wish I was that electronics savy.

I've never used a 7800 controller before. But the nes much better. I don't have a converted pad. But I use a nes pad on my sears tele 6 switch. Works great for space invaders 112 and jungle hunt. Except back in the day the nes pad was not ergonomic so it caused lot of hand cramps. Actually I use a dogbone nes controller for that reason. I have a write up inn the 2600 section describing how.

Tetris has been around sinse nes or maybe earlier. I don't think atari eve had tetris though. Althouch city has nothing to do with blocks either.

Yes I fixed my 4 port box. Sent it to phuzzed and now I got a working 5200. So it may be fixable.

4 port can not use a direct rca cable because you still need the switch box for for power unless you do the power mod.
