I hvae 3 sticks. 1 appears to be fully working. 1 crap nothing works except * and #. Even joystick doesn't work. and 1 works now all button i think including start pause and reset. But joystick doesn't move anything in game. Tin foil never worked. What worked was tapping the contacts with a screw driver. Not sure thought about why the stick doesn not work on the one with the working buttons.

I just saw a listing on ebay for a game called frisky tom. I don't remember that from basck in the day. Is that a rare game. I don't see it listed anywherre. Look like it is for 5200 and with label and all (not a prototype).

I didn't know about the 100-500 thing. But the gravis does not have a switch. It does however have both 15 pin male and female so I can plug that into the 5200. Or I can use gender changers for the rest but the ones I got don't work. Must be the first thing you mentioned 100 - 500. Makes sense now, thanks.

I got these 3 off ebay. Do you think those will work. And your adapter converts digital to atari 5200. But if the controllers are all analog why won't they work straight without an adapter.

I remember playing this at a friends house when I was a kid. Originals were used. Never had any third party. But it was a little uncomfortable to hold. I recently got a sears version of ebay. I use an nes dogbone controller with that. Yes I figured out how to make that work. Much better. B button works as fire button. And its wireless.

No it varies. Sometimes black and sometimes color. If I take the game out and reinsert it I get color. And sometimes black no matter how many times I do that. And I have 2 copies of qbert refuse to play. Black screen only. Very rarely play. Maybe bad cartridge slot. Or bad rd coax ports maybe as my cable and dvd player work fine. The VCR also used to be black and white. But for now it is color. At least last night I got color. Hook one end of a coax cable into back of tv and the other end into (out to tv) on back of vcr. Then the 4 port switch box from the wire that sticks out to the back of the vcr (antenna in) Fire up the 5200 and get a clean picture no more black and white. I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens.

I have 4 port model. You see the problem is tv only shows black and white. But cable att uverse and dvd player look fine. Only vcr and old antiques show black and white. And only on big screen 65". Smaller tv 20 inches look fine. But 5200 too picky sometimes color and sometimes black and white. So I thought cable might be bad. But looks mine is soldered to the motherboard. Took some photos so you can see what a 4 port model looks like inside. And no * in serial number.

Btw was just wondering did anybody ever make wireless controllers for 5200 with keypad besides using masterplay.

This is a fake label. I've seen some of these on a design website - someone knocked them up for fun. - infact if you go to the link on the label www.penneydesign.com you will probably see them... and there is the proof - a website in 1978????!!!! Yeah, I know it's fake, just thought it was funny. Some of the screenshots on the fake box covers are closer to NES graphics than VCS graphics, though. -B Sure looks cool though even if it is fake.

Top loading nes was small. But atari wise probably not small. It wouldn't fit.
