  1. Took some pictures for those to see incase anyone else is wondering how it looks inside. I cleaned the ball with soap and water. The rollers looked kiinda rusty so not cleanable. I think I made it worse. Doesn't go let now only don, up and right.

    Any here are some photos.

  2. Those will also be bought for use and stashing. I do like this to all systems I collect

I have a trackball but not mint and looks a little dusty. Couldn't get one game (I forget which one) to move right only left freely. No more 5200 trackballs left on ebay though so no way to test. Is trackball even worth much anyway?

  3. Electronics from that era are surprisingly resilient to water. Sure, the chip may have shorted, of maybe the contacts are a little corroded and just need some gentle love. If the chip didn't have electricity flowing to it at the time it got wet, I'd say chances are ok that it still works.

Yes sometimes. When were we kids I spilled water all over my 5200 and ten years after pulling out of storage it still worked. So sometimes you get lucky.

  4. I like the Famicom color scheme mixed with the Atari'ish font... :)

Did Atari Inc. ever do any mockups or art design of what their version of the Famicom would've looked like?

Will these also work on 2600? If so I use nes pads on 2600 also as mentioned in the 2600 section. Should work on 7800 also. And it is wireless, plus no rewiring.

  5. Sadly, not two button for 7800. I've got all that stuff. I figured it was going to be a NES four score linking up to something else with the same signal. Makes sense that it's a camerica to camerica product.

If the freedom connection had adapters for 2600 also it would be great. But it is only nes compatible sorry. But the ir receiver for the freedom stick works on both 2600 and nes. Now if they were picky and each only worked with its own receiver too bad. But the 2 are interchangeable. I tried the freedom connect on my old ps 1 wireless sticks and nothing happened. But the freedoom stick receiver works with the freedom connection also (surprise surprise). So the 2600 with the freedom stick ir receiver works with not only with the freedom stick but the freedom connection also surprise. And maybe more like 4 score but never tried. Wasd really surprised the connection and stick were not 2 seperate things and both worked with the same receiver and 2600 adapters. But I have only tried 2 games jungle hunt and space invaders. Don't know if anything else works just those 2 I tried for now.

  6. Okay, how?

First off mine is sears tele (light 6er I believe). Now for the story.

Have to buy 2 things. Look on ebay also. I just linked to amazon because ebay auctions disappear after awhile. Both made by camerica company.

I got the stuff very cheap. Took a photo off my bead. Hope it is clear. The freedom stick works with both and has adapters for nes and atari 2600. Only works on 2600 and have not tried other 9 pin systems. But freedoom stick is to bulky to play with. It is wireless but still big and clunky. So go the freedom connection they had back then to allow a nes joystick to be wireless. The sensor box plugs into nes and then the freedom connection has a port to plug in an nes controller. And the signal goes wireless and makes you nes controller wireless. Pretty neat.

But the freedom connection (at least the one I ebayed) has a sensor with builtin wires to hookup to the nes. No removable cable like the freedom stick.

But sinse the stick came with 2600 adapters I decided to buy a freedom connection on ebay and see if it would work. Like wireless devices from other systems or companies might not work but sinse both were made by camerica I decided to try.

And works great. So use the same box and cable from the stick. Plug the grey cable (player 1) into left 9 pin joystick port on back of atari and the black cable (player2) into the right side port. Then put 4 Tripple A batteries into the freedom connect. Turn the switch on the side to player 1 and set auto fire to manual.

Make sure the freedoom connect is pointing directly at sensor and nothing iin the way. Won't work if you leave it on the floor. Has to be good site between both.

And when I turn on jungle hunt I press the b button on the dogboone and he starts swinging vines. Or space invaders hit reset. Game starts with 3 lives and then left and right with the d pad and b to shoot.

    Pretty simple. Works surprisingly well.

  7. Yes no joke. It is a sears tele 6 switch (light aparantly). But yes got it to work with a nes dogbone controller. I will mention how if anyone is interested.

However all of a sudden it turned black and white. And if wiggle the power switch it goes back to color sometimes. But at least it works. Pretty cool.

It was just my hidef tv looks like. If I wiggle power it does get weird but no black and white on my smaller tvs. Weird. The antenna A or B (can't remember) a few weeks ago went completely black and white (even with my vcr) and then turned color for no reason. My 2 in 1 football and nhl95 game with rca (white and yellow) also was black and white and not on my smaller tvs. Weird. But upstairs work ok full color even despite a little fuzzy. And cable att uverse tv look full color. Never black and white. And snes or nes and all the used crap I got off ebay is also color and never black and white. Totally. Weird.

But anyhow it is so cool got my sears atari to work with an nes dog bone controller and it is wireless. Got 2 games jungle hunt silver label variation. And Space invaders sears 112.Both work great even despite a little on the fuzzy side.

  8. Finally got space invaders to work, but don't remember what button I pressed. It is a 112 tele games version. Does anybody have a link to a manual. Not hard copy just a online version if anybody knows where to get one. I can't get it to start and can't remember how it did before. Thanks.

  9. The controllers were shared between a bunch of systems and not even just different models of 2600. Shouldn't be a problem.

And what about ac adapter. My universal is only 300mah. That might explain the grainy picture. Does sears tele work with regular 2600 adapter or has a special ac?

  10. Never mind I ran auto scan on my tv and found the pictue. Muche better. Still a little fuzy even if directly plugged into backof tv but not bad so thanks. Now I just have to get some controllers and an official ac adapter and I'm alll set. I'll ask a friend if he still has his and see if I can have them.

The power and controllers were all the same for 4 and 6 switch right? And does it matter I have sears tele. Or same 2600 regular adapter and controllers would work?

  11. I got a 6 switch sears tele from ebay. Hooked up everything and no picture. On chanle 3 whenI power looks like something wavy line and messed up screen but still snow. Looks like it is powering on but no picture. Using universal ac adapter but made sure 9v and positive tip. But no channel selector switch.

What chanel then is my sears telel 6 switch supposed too be on to get signal.

  12. did the missile command tweaking inside the console and that made a huge difference in gyruss as well. for fun checked/adjusted my 2 port and saw that it was out of spec as well.

    What tweak is that?

I was wondering the same thing.

    Me too.
