  1. LOL, I meant console wise?

Well I made a detailed video awhile back that goes over everything.

Nice video, homerwannabee. I've only had Telegame consoles. I did not know that about the power supplies being grey or partially grey. Someday, I'd like the get a H6 with the H6 style joysticks.

I never knew it was grey either. But this is supposidly a 2600 ac asdapter and it is grey.

  2. What a dreamer. $700! Who'd send him that much money, with 9 feedback, and only 2 of them from actual sales.

And in a more general (ebay) sense......

Personally, I don't understand the "reserve" bullshit. What for? Just start the bidding out at whatever your "reserve" is. Is the point to bullshit people and waste time, or what?

Well reserve never met. Hahah. Final was 152.50.

  3. He sent his test box to me for testing, and I had the same results. Nothing but snow.

U1, on the switchbox board, which is a voltage comparator was the culprit. A really cheap part to replace, and relatively easy to fix.

Afterwards, the switchbox "clicked" and fired up!

Peace has been restored in the 5200 world :)

Yes peace finally. Although it could still mean my atari is broken but I bet that it will start now with a good box. Now time to load up on games and accessories.

  4.

Funny thing was we had a 4 port 5200 and we never has super breakout (I read here somewhere that was the pack in game). I remember it comming with pacman. I don't remember it comming with breakout.

Pac-Man was included later, as I understand it, as a direct response to the Colecovision using Donkey Kong as a pack-in

When the 5200 was released, Breakout was the game, and they were all four-port.

Later, Atari found a fix for the four ports (to be compatible with the vcs adapter). They fixed and released the remaining 4-port back-stock. However, they had started using Pac-Man as the pack in game by then.

Damm, that means I had a rare atari. I wish we hadn't given it away.
