  1. Found a copy of ninja golf on ebay. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 350242525672
  2. Thanks I ask cuz all the emulators I use show space invaders as gren background but I remember it as black with white invaders as a kid.

    telegames?

Was there any difference in the sears version than regular 2600 games. Like the 112 space invaders. Or was it just a lablel varation and the game was the same.
  4. If you click on the photo and blow it up that is round corners isn't it. http://www.atariguide.com//10/1053b.htm#12595
  5. http://www.atariguide.com/10/1050.php This site I found has list of all 2600s.
  6. Sounds interesting. Used to play space invaders at a friends house often but don't remember if it was 4 or 6 switch. Was wood grain 4 sure is all I remember.
  7. Unfortunately, there's no "add to cart" option there. I was asking about this in one of the threads in the forum "Web Site Comments" - where someone was posting that they're happy the AtariAge store is back up. But there was no reply. I gather these are simply not available anymore, from AtariAge? Oh man, the ones that Philsan linked to don't say they work with paddles, which is the best thing. Back to square one: Anybody know if the AtariAge store will ever sell these again? :) Thanks for the suggestions though, fellas. Cuz if you click the box where it says 1 and hit enter it says There are not that many of this product in stock. So looks like they are just out of stock.
  8. Neat, but quick question. Would it be possible to reverse engineer the same thing. I mean allow a real 2600 to use usb joy sticks.
  9. Just get a ntsc 2600 on ebay. They are cheap these days. Otherwise it is 2 different things. Pal cannot play ntsc.
  10. Where did you get these photos.
  11. Now to me, that would only enhance a system's coolness. How many other systems can be used to light a flamethrower. Nuff said. I use a 4 port with a Zippo box and a controller with it's original Rev 7 flex. It works fine. If it broke, I'd fix it or get another one because the games I like on it are that good.(to me) What is a zippo box??
  12. never used? just look at the sticker picture The sticker is faded after 20 years of storage. That doesn't mean it was never used. And the 750 got relisted to 700 bin and starting of 95 dollars with a reserve. But doesn't make sense. Why put a reserve. I mean if it didn't sell last time it won't if you are still expecting 700 in return. Only 50 is not much.

    Pause?

I know about the kit I wasd wondering if I could bypass that by buying a 7800. I guess not thanks.

    Pause?

I know 2600 did not allow pause without a mode like you guys have here. But 7800 did. However I read somwewhere that it only worked for new 7800 games coded for it at the time. Is this true? 2600 games will not pause even if I get a 7800?
  15. Fine, "despite its flaws it was a great system" , end of story. Now, next argument.
  16. There were over 60 games in NA released for it. And most are well worth owning & playing, unlike the ratio for 2600. Or , IMHO, Colecovision. It was no more a "failure" than other systems which couldn't get solid market share, like Sega Master System in NA, 3DO, or Jaguar. Maybe for you. Sorry if that happened. Mine lasted YEARS with no mechanical problems. So did my 2 best friends' controllers. It did seem that this was viewed as important, as though people just couldn't own 2 systems at one time. Didn't appeal to me though. For one thing, the big arcade hits were what gamers DEMANDED. With the exception of Super Breakout, I welcomed the upgrades of my favorite games. 2600 couldn't deliver the arcade sounds & visuals, and 5200 could. I loved the 5200 versions of Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man, Joust, Pole Position, Dig Dug, and even the Activision games - loved the upgrades to HERO, Megamania, and especially River Raid. ALso, it is incorrect to say that these upgrades were of 'existing games'. The 2600 and 5200 versions started to come out simultaneously, and the 5200 versions were much more advanced. Okay but not everybody could go out and buy an $800+ Atari computer. I do agree that the atari computer line was better .. but at double the cost as the console. For its $200 or so price range when we bought it, 5200 delivered. And it was beautiful sitting on the carpeting in front of the TV, and had awesome looking cartridges , unlike the drabby little brown computer line carts. Mine didn't. 2-port. To borrow a quote from Up! ... "I hate squirrels!" 2 port don't spark. Only 4 port versions do. You just have to plug in the rf cable first. It says in the manual. Don't remember where I downloaded it form but that is how it is. But again only 4 port versions not 2.
  17. Well nothing lasts forever so it is not like you can just goto toysrus and buy another one. So it is hard to find a working one these days. But it was great back in the day. Better graphics and sound. But 2600 was much better. It was smaller and used standard power without a switchbox for power. And it felt more sturdy.
  18. I think there was a click when plug into the wall while system off. But I don't remember clicking when I press power. Seems odd that it will power but not show video. Problem is that the boxes are hard to find. I'm not paying 38 for another box from amazon. Unless somebody knows how to fix one. Or somebody is willing to trade for a 2 port version.
  19. I'm not good with solder iron. I'll just keep it and see what happens in 50 years.
  20. Yes great if you can still find a working system. (One that does not use that ugly switch box or one that does not spark.) Sorry for being harsh. But I find it hard to like a system that does not work and had many problems. It was good back in the day. But the one I got off ebay is not working. And no 2 port versions working for less than 100.
  21. Just out of curiosity would this work. If I use the switch box just to get power. And the connect the rca cable comming out of the 5200 to a rca to f adapter like the 2 port would use. Or do I have to use the switch box.
  22. Yes great if you can still find a working system. (One that does not use that ugly switch box or one that does not spark.)
  23. Is this the same thing. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320596986464
  24. I remember seeing something like this on ebay few weeks back but now I can't find it anymore.
