  1. I enjoyed Sudeki, nothing epic, but the music and enviornments are beautiful, combat fun, and Ailish is a hottie, camel toe and all. :D

The Kren computer is one of the harder bosses, especially with the weak gun that Elco has when you fight him.  Elco gets some bad arse guns later on in the game.  Just do most of the side quests and that should be all that you need for the final boss battle.  Just be sure to have a full stock of potions that replenish your Hit Points and Skill Points and you'll be fine.  The escort mission that is near the end of the game is more challenging than the final boss battle, IMO.  I was using skill strikes and spirit strikes like a madman near the end of the game and it made it easier, so try to have all the skill strikes, as some are really devestating in combat.

Thanks! I beat the mermaid boss yesterday she was fairly easy actually, but I missed a door in the Grotto that you need a magician to dispell. I'm assuming you can back through any level at any point in the game, right? I liked that right after that you got the mirror image characters to play with. I've tried to be pretty thorough but I'm sure I've missed alot as I've only gotten 2 totems for each character... oh well with my anal retentive attitude towards 100% completion of any game I play, I'm sure I'll go back through once I've beaten it. :D

  2. Not sure how far I am, but I started playing last Monday when I was off sick from work. I'm rather enjoying it, but I wonder if it is worth it to spend time leveling up my characters. Is it necessary for later boss battles? I just beat the Krenn computer, but I had to go back a few saves and powerup a bit because I was having such a hard time. I just wonder if it would be worth it to take some time before going on to the next boss battle.

And have you noticed that both female characters seem to be sporting a little camel toe?

  3. I bought them all, so should you.
As hard as it may be to believe, not everybody shits money.

Each of those consoles can be found for a hundred bucks or less at any pawn shop in my city -- I'd hardly say that ranks me among the upper echelon of the financial world.

For some people $100 is a lot of money.

  4. We have an Xbox, ok we have 4 that are hooked up and playable...ooo we just got a bunch of new cases, mine is now purple chrome with purple LED's, E's is blue clear plastic, and Starscream has a yellow clear, and I think he still has the other one in the green clear Halo case. A friend just took an orange clear case with purple UV cold cathode around the center jewel.... wish I got pics but I'm sure he'll have it back over... it looked awesome!!!!

    Anyway we also have the PS2, GBA-SP, and 2 or 3 DC's.

It's just easier to have more than one of what we play the most so no one is fighting over a console. When you grow up with only 1 Atari 2600 for years that you have to share with your siblings, not to mention their friends AND your parents, I think you end up with a complex.

Xbox of course gets the most play time, but I play the DC quite often. E pretty much dominates the PS2, so that's in his room now, along with one of the DC's and his PS. The GBA-SP is his, and since he now hides it from me, I don't get to play it much, little brat.

We also have the Atrai 2600 plug and play joystick.... would that be considered modern?

  5. Lets correct a few facts around here.

    Firstly...

Both Xbox and PS2 can fail and both do. Newer models of both m/c's are better than the earlier models.

    Secondly...

Xbox probably has somewhere near 1000+ games so I don't think that's an issue. I personally have over 200 now and thats just a blip compared to what's available. PS2 still has more though.

    Thirdly...

    Who said Xbox was big?

Excellent! Hey you know I saw the real thing in action once? We were at Cape Canaveral the summer I was in 6th grade and they were moving one of the space shuttles to the launch pad. I can't remember how long the tour guide said it would take to get to the pad, but I'm sure it was much longer than it will take this thread to get locked. :P

    XBox vs. PS2 - them's fightin' words!

  6. I've been playing this (xbox) now for a couple of days and have to say that the single player is very easy to finish and not very long.

This game really is for multiplayer only. On Xbox live it plays well but seems to be very slow between games. I found I had problems joining games, but once I was in the shooting was top notch. You really can emerge yourself into the Star Wars universe. Only complaint is that some of the guns can feel a bit wimpy.

Excellent Clock, you are Live! My tag is CleoJ, just started playing last night online. Its a pain in the ass to get in and stay in a game, I can't figure out what's up with that, but we have some friends who we might be playing with tonight, so look for me if you want and we can let you in. We'll be making a private room. You wouldn't be gorilla1 or Squash-something by any chance? :)

  7. I finished the game in just over 15 hours, and I did alot of the side quests. There were a lot of things I wanted to do, like buy more houses, steal some businesses, but that's for my next time through. I was worried about how quickly my character aged though. I wonder if you start to deteriorate if you get too old?

How about the Demon doors? I got through a lot of them, but I'm sure there were some I missed.

  8. I just beat the game on Sunday, started playing 2 weekends ago. I beat it as a heterosexual good guy, now I'm going to play it through as a homosexual bad guy! :D

I didn't do all of the side quests but I did alot of them, and my "spellwarrior" was pretty kick ass! Had some nice tattoos, good looking haircut, nice goatee, and 4 wives, even managed to wed the Mayor, Lady Grey.

After beating the game, you get the insult (shit), pelvic thrust, and flip the bird expressions. Along with the fart and the burp, I can really get the kiddies going now!

I liked this game because there were so many different ways to play it. I'm going to go through it again and do all the evil things and see if I get a different ending. Some of the battles are really tough if your character isn't leveled up enough. (It was so funny when I bought a heavy weapon early in the game, and my strength wasn't high enough to wield it, Chicken Chaser just flopped the sword around, :D )

This is my kind of RPG, only one character to worry about. Now I'm off to play Sudeki. That game is really interesting!!

Oh buy it this weekend, I think it has definite replay value just in regards to the good or evil storyline.

  9. Killer 7 GC

When this finally gets released I demand someone who owns a GC, but who also plays Xbox, buy it immediately play it all the way through and report back all the details, specifically control.

Here's the sum up of the game: http://cube.ign.com/objects/495/495539.html if you can decipher the poor translation - although I think that makes the game sound even more interesting :D

  10. I've been playing for a few days now, and I guess the M rating is somewhat appropriate, but I think it would be ok for a 12 year old. Like Pudd said, there's nothing that absolutely has to happen, I haven't gotten my character drunk, I just don't have time, although I have bedded my wife 4 times already! :D but you really have to work hard to get her to go to bed with you.

Oh there is also the option of having a homosexual relationship, I have a bunch of guys in love with me! :)

The game play is morality driven, so your son's temperment will probably define the choices he makes. Since you know your son best, and what kind of choices he'll make you'll know what kind of game he'll play ....

I'd probably let my 9-year-old play because I'm sure he'd never get married, never bother to get drunk, he'd probably just run around starting fights with the townfolk :)

Actually the game has a lot of really unique properties. If you don't get it for your son, you might want to get it for yourself.

  11. E played it way before me, in fact he still kicks my butt at multi-player. I'm just lucky I guess... a certified video game playing genius for a son!!  :D

That's different then. I wonder if he'll join the Army or something like that when he gets older? I tried it on Legendary and got killed before I could barely take two steps.

No he can't decide between race car driver and jet pilot. I'm hoping for pro bowler so he can support me in my old age. :D

  12. WOW! Tell that to my 9 year old, who was six when it came out, he beat it on legendary.... by himself....

That reminds me of kids who somehow learn to play the piano by 'themselves.' The fact that their mother was a concert pianist had nothing to do with it. I don't have anyone to watch and learn from.

  13. You can complete Halo on easy level firing just 4 shots and 4 grenades (with good aim). Its not even a game on easy level' date=' it just allows very young children to play.[/quote']

Are we talking about the same Xbox game? Very young children would be killed off before you know it when playing Halo on easy. Jackals, the Elite, and Hunters are all pretty tough and wave after wave of enemies come at you by the time you get to the Flood characters.

WOW! Tell that to my 9 year old, who was six when it came out, he beat it on legendary.... by himself....

I'm thinking you need to play an easier game, like maybe Pokemon Snap.

    :D

  14. Anyone else play this? I'm trying to track down the first 2 PC/PSX games but they are really hard to find (off eBay that is). Hopefully we'll be able to find them for the Xbox emulator. I'd rather play on that then drag the PS/PS2 out of my son's room. GOd knows it would take me a week to find either one  :)

This was a pretty decent game, just finished it. Though the graphics weren't anything special, the dialogue and dry humor more than made up for it. Your typical adventure game, with an interesting plot, I enjoyed taking turns playing Nico and George. I wish the environments were larger and more interactive, but I had a good time playing.

  15. All I did was read the topic and now I hate you. Though if you feel any better I hate NE146 even more.

Thanks for the kind sentiment :D

It won't help you Clock. I got my game back on this weekend, and I will be prac, prac, practicing until Nov 9th! I'll be calling off work that day, and by the time you're up and Halo 2-ing, it'll be ON!!!!

    Clock: You better bring it!

Foxy: Oh, it's already been brought-en!

    :D

I can't wait! Actually, I think we might just grab you up for our team.

    I call dibs on Clock!

  16.

The predictable answer is "market penetration", but the only penetration that's really happening here is Microsoft screwing the competition with a system twice as powerful as theirs, offered at the same price.  Gotta love Big Brother Bill's antitrust law violations!

    JR

Not to jump on you, but that may be one of the most retarded things I've ever read.

So what you are saying is that because Nintendo screws themselves, Microsoft should make it up to them by screwing themselves ?

By your logic since then GC is better than the PS2 and the GC is cheaper than the PS2, Nintendo is screwing Sony.

HANK: "Do you actually believe the crap that comes out of your mouth?"

EARL: "I don't know 'til I'm finished talkin'."

 I can't believe you said that!
