In FACT. It's an amazingly versatile and useful emulator. You just have to understand directory hierarchies, configuration files, and command-line switches, and maybe a thing or two about symlinks and archives.

 

(Granted, many of today's lazier users don't want to be bothered with all that, but that's their problem, not MESS's.)

I dislike the directory system. I must be missing some stupidly obvious point someplace. Somehow!

I think that's where I am also. I don't have room for what I have now.

More games will come out in the future and maybe you'll want 3DS and future Vita stuff that might end up being better than what's available for those systems now. They're small in size so wouldn't take much space.

iTunes.

I use MP4 ripping software - iTunes set for 320 kbps AAC

I usually use LAME at the command prompt to rip my media, and iTunes if I need to update the metadata.

Also useful for taking a lot of space for no good reason.

Super Demon Attack, Alpiner. I need more games that use the speech box. And I need one of those 2600 joystick adapters.

I have one of the 2600 adaptor y-cables around somewhere. Though the regular TI sticks work ok for me. A good game for the speech box is Alpiner. I love when the girl gets a bit sarcastic with you after you fall.

I think arcade Venture is the same

ColecoVision controls are definitely better than the arcade.

The Noah's ark portion of the game was pretty good. I never could rescue baby Moses though. Funny that if you drop the baby into the water, either on purpose or by accident, you are stuck and the only way to continue playing is to commit suicide. I'm pretty sure the Bible doesn't condone such acts.
