  1. They also had a 3 button Genesis controller (with the same Samsung logo), but it was $4 and I wasn't sure if this would actually work with a Genesis (it does).
  2. Found 2 NES Advantage sticks for $5 each, and a Genesis 6 button controller (with a Samsung logo?!?) for $2 at GW today. Everything works fine, except for button A on one of the Advantages. I hopefully can fix that.
  3. Good to know. I'm going to look in my bad of extra paddles to see if I have any like that.
  4. Maybe. If all directions and the button are broken, could be a problem with the wire or connector. Keep in mind that any 2600 joystick/paddles will work with the FB2. If you have any others lying around, or see any at your local thrift store, they will work fine.
  5. The intv was a better system EXCEPT for the controllers. IMO, it isn't the disc, it is the awful side buttons. If only Mattel had re-engineered the controllers, or made them replaceable before the INTV II. And I'd say the M-Network games prove my point Astroblast on the 2600 is better than Astrosmash because it is so much easier to control. Space Attack/Space Battle -- same thing. Intellivision versions had better graphics and were more sophisticated, but the control on Atari made them more fun. PS -- I think both systems are great. Each had their pros and cons.
  6. Very nice. Can you explain the difference with original 77 paddles?
  7. I've just started collecting. I have a nice working aluminum TI-99/4A, a speech module, some nice Amiga joysticks, and about 15 game carts so far. Made my own composite cable out of a broken video modulator. It really is a nice system, and fun to collect for.
  8. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/79421-fb2-fb2-instructions-mod-links-faq-fb2-portable/ The manual link is on the second post.
  9. I've seen them at Fred Meyer here in Portland. However, they were $4.50 each. Seemed a little steep to me.
  10. Nice. Looks like you got a nice one. I love the 800, but they are so honkin' big.
  11. And by the way, the Flashback 2, 2+, or 3 are all fantastic. You should be able to find one complete on ebay for $20 shipped. It is a bargain at that price.
  12. I was tempted, but my wife would have given me the same fate as Atlantis if I bought it. Seems like a great price for a rare and complete game.
  13. I found a Wico "The Boss" joystick at GW for $2 today. I haven't tested it. One question, is the handle on these supposed to rotate?
  14. Yeah, they do make 10 connection switch boxes. Look on ebay. Whether you go this route or the multi-switchbox route, you want to make sure you get something that is high quality to get the best av quality. Cheap switch boxes can degrade the signals.
  15. Learn something new every day -- I had no idea simply formatting a disk would reset the heads. Thanks for the info.

    labrat

Traded some cartridges with labrat. He is a great person to deal with, and I'd do it again.
  17. I agree that it sounds like a decomposing disk dirtied up the heads. Gonna have to open those drives up and carefully clean the heads.
  18. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 330816327972 Please educate me. I don't see anything rare in those 60 games. Very short description. Heavy sixers are nice, but really...over $200 with shipping???
