    Get a bucket of warm dishwash-soapy water and a wash cloth. Wring out the wash cloth well and wipe er down. A finger and that wash cloth can carefully wipe down each keyboard key pretty quickly. Use a toothbrush and the soapy water to get the cracks.

    That probably means the insides are identical to a heavy sixer. Tell us how this ends!

    That is a light sixer. Made in Sunnyvale, though. If everything works, I'd estimate it is worth about $40 - $50. Anything less than that is a bargain.

    It isn't the platinum version, so I think I'm good. Came with the case, but no instructions. I actually bought it because it looked fun (and hey! only 75 cents!); didn't know a thing about soft mods until reading this thread. I need to do a little reading up. Need to figure out how hard it is to put things on the Xbox (like emulators) once the soft mod is complete. I'll get back to you after that.

    I have a copy of XBox Mechassault. Got it today at a thrift store for $0.75! Is there any way to soft mod without a memory card? Ah, I see your third post has just the memory card for $10. Is that correct? Thanks.

    My Xbox 360 red-ring-of-death'ed today. Took it apart, applied new thermal grease, put it back together, and IT WORKS! I am Superman!

      I hope so too. It is an original white model, so it has had a long life. And the old compound was dried up like concrete. So I think it will be fine. It was difficult, but kind of fun to take the machine apart (and put it back together). I'll have my kids play Halo to see if it can take the heat. I use the 360 as a media center mostly. My kids use it for games.

    When you can't remember which is more difficult: A or B on the difficulty switch. I always use Space Invaders to figure that out, as SI makes it pretty obvious.
