I use a stock CV controller, except that the nub has been replaced with a round knob. For me, it makes the controller 100 times better. I grip the knob with between my right thumb and first finger. It's a very easy change to make, as the nub comes off with a screwdriver, and the knob screws right on the post.

I didn't take a break from the internet but I did take a break from AA for a month recently. This forum as any forum can result in the need to get away.
Well, glad you made it back. Burn out is a real thing in this hobby.

According to the AA Facebook group, he is doing well. As suggested by eightbit, my guess is he just took a break from the internet. I've been thinking of doing the same.

Answers below each question.
It's funny how we were all amazed to see 300+ downloads but now it's up to 800+ downloads! I posted the link to this thread on all the social media pages we have, but I'm so curious about the people who have downloaded those ROMs so far...
- How many of them are still actively playing their ColecoVision vs just downloading to put them into an archive?
I still play my Colecovision (not as often as I'd like, though)
- How many of them who downloaded have also bought (or would have bought) a boxed copy of the game?
I've bought games before. Once I try these, I may buy the ones I like the best.- How many of them are playing on actual hardware versus an emulator versus a Raspberry Pi?
I have an Atarimax cart and want to try them on that on the real CV.
- How many of them found the link from browsing these forums or saw it on a social media page or something like Reddit?
Facebook.
My statistics loving brain is going crazy over those numbers!

He's not logged in for 6 months. Dunno why.
Looks like 1 year and 6 months...Jun 2016!
I hope he's alright. Great guy. I was just now re-hanging my CNC Space Invaders after repainting my office.

-- X-Files Agent Scully figure. In box. The packaging is pretty beat up.
- A really old Polaroid camera. Good luck finding film. In any case, it's in great shape and it looks really neat on a shelf. Comes with original case and flash. This one will ship in a medium flat rate box.

Lol, not all Sears games, but I think it was over half of them

Just a thought, but we could attempt to limit the size of the Grab Bag somehow. Maybe agree upon maximum weight, dimensions, or number of items. This could keep it from bloating and encourage a healthy turnover of content.
Limit it to a USPS Large Flat Rate box. Then the shipping cost will be known up front.

Old thread. But very helpful.
I was able to fix 7800 console buttons without replacing them using the advice above.
Thanks.

Okay, which models of the Odyssey 2/G7000 have controllers that are detachable from the box(aka without having to do modding of any kind to the system)? I do know that the earliest of the Odyssey 2 systems in North America have grey fire buttons, while all other batches have the fire button red, and that the European G7000 has no built-in power button, and the fire button is black. Why won't the VCS/2600, Master system, Genesis nor Colecovison controllers work properly on any of the detachable controller Odyssey 2s on their own?
:?The BJ7600 GY02 and BK7600 GY02 models both had removable joysticks. There are black with red action button removables as well (I have 2).
The reason other joysticks like Genesis and Atari don't work correctly is that the pinouts are different. If you read further up this thread there is a pinout for each.
Yep, what metarog said. I think it's the earliest models that have detachable joysticks. Consider them like "heavy sixers" of Odyssey 2's! Mine has silver joysticks with silver buttons. The converter allows me to use an Atari joystick, which is wrong, but oh-so-right at the same time.
