I've had a Nook Color for almost a year, and I like it a lot. It is fine right out of the box. Mine is actually rooted to use "Honeycomb" Android, which is even nicer. I think if I were buying a new tablet today, I'd take a good hard look at the new Google model. I think that is a lot more powerful and is only a little more expensive.

I second the thrift store idea. I've bought several from my local Goodwill with good results. Take an MP3 player with you so you can test them right there in the store.

Bought a Saturn system. Fast shipping. A great person to deal with. Thanks.

Looks like you got a nice clean one. Does it work? I've also never seen a Vader since the old days.
-
Well, you are absolutely correct. I just tried my Atari cable and it does work fine. I guess that'll make it easier to find an extra on ebay!
-
I have a 65XE I was going to sell. Would you be interested in that? It works fine and has had the keyboard mylar replaced.

Don't think so. The connector is the same, but it uses different pin-out.

Walmart also has electrical contact cleaner in the auto parts department.

Help needed on Civilization (SNES)

I'm not familiar with this game either, but it sounds like they are blowing smoke. You might try it on an emulator and see if it does the same thing. -
That looks like a Sunnyvale light sixer to me. In remarkably good shape. I'd say you got a tremendous bargain at only $18.

A quick question for this group. I'm also a new TI owner, and am having a lot of fun with it. Where is the best place to get some of these common games, and what is a good price to look for?
-
Does anyone have a TI composite video/audio cable they'd be willing to part with?
-
Great person to deal with. I purchased a TI speech module. Arrived nicely packed in great shape. Thanks.

2600 must haves if you own an XE and 7800: Adventure Yar's Revenge Space Invaders Any of the paddle games (Circus Atari, Kaboom!, Warlords, etc). Pitfall

I'd be interested in purchasing if you decide to sell. PM me. I have a TI and a few voice games, but no speech module. Thanks
-
"Not tested with games". Uh yeah, that means it's broken, Emily.

Are you using a flat panel tv? That could be a problem. I have a Vizio LCD that does not work with a 2600. For example, on Missile Command, I can't see any of the incoming missiles!

Recommend = make that "pffttptptpt" sound with your lips and keep doing what you do.

Grig's Gunstar Garage Sale UPDATED * NEW ITEMS ADDED 10/6/12 *

Dang it, I wanted the TI. Day late, dollar short. Oh well. -
Smaller form factor, composite out, just something cool to have.

The Flashback 2/3 are mod'able. Meaning, you can add a cartridge port and switch, and it will work as a clone. It would be really cool if they released a flashback that had the cartridge port built in (an just skip the built in games). I would buy one for sure. PS - Anyone want to sell a modded flashback 2?

Could be the power adapter that is overheating. If you haven't already, try a different power brick.

Excellent. I can't argue with your ranking order. The one feature of Space Attack that I really like is how you shoot a ship, and the explosion can take out several others.

I think that joystick mod is pretty cool. Nicely done. I always grip the joystick with my right fingers, and move the joystick with the space between my right thumb and hand. In other words, grip the stick really low on the shaft. This mod would make that playstyle more comfortable. I'm thinking about it....

Selling an Atari 400/800 computer with extras
RickR replied to infnitelives13601's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
This must have come from someone that likes to tinker. I wonder what other upgrades are in there? It seems unlikely someone would JUST upgrade the keyboard..
