  2. Question: Is there a C64 equivalent that lets you play images from SD cards or another computer and has the same bang/buck ratio as SIO2PC?
  3. I realize I'm late to the party, but I just got one, and it is spectacular. Hooked it up to an old useless (until now) Dell laptop (P2-300!), and am having a blast playing old games without worrying about breaking the 1050 or floppies. Borrowed the SIO cable from my SX212 modem, which I'll probably never use again.
  4. In college, I had a Star NX-1000 connected to an Atari 800XL with AtariWriter. Great printer.
  5. Does anyone have an extra power supply for an 800XL? Mine just blew. Thanks.
  6. Great person to deal with. Excellent packaging, fast shipping, thumbs up!
  7. Bump - I bought an NES conversion a little while ago, and it works great. Thanks!

    2600 Vs Vic 20

Consider these two games: Defender and Centipede. The VIC versions are very good. Great graphics, and lots of fun. The 2600 -- well... Still, given the incredible number of games, the 2600 was better. But the VIC wasn't too bad.
  9. Same problem here. Not sure how to get it working.
  10. Can't go wrong there. If I ever see any game for $1, I'll buy it even if I have a copy.
  11. Yes, that looks like an original Intellivision to me too.
  12. Yep, so long as you don't already have a copy (or 2, or 3, etc).
  13. It does not make noise. What exact problem are you seeing? Does the light on the VIC turn on? Could be a bad RF adapter if it is the kind with the black box in the middle of the wire.
  14. ** DELETE ** I got one on ebay!
  15. I'd be more concerned with moisture than temperature. Is it possible to put the cartridges in plastic tubs with tight lids and put them on the shelf? If so, that may be a good option.
  16. Bought some 2600 games and accessories. A good person to deal with. Thanks.

  18. Moved to its own thread: My Intellivision is broken. Upon turning the Intellivision on, the title screen comes up, then the screen gets all garbled. The game does play (based on sound effects) but the screen remains garbled. Please see the video below. That's me pressing the reset button a few times. http://home.comcast.net/~rrsyr/ebay/AtariB%20011.AVI I've done the following so far: 1. Transformer is good (AC voltages into the power board look fine) 2. Power board is good (DC voltages going into the motherboard look fine). 3. All socketed chips have been removed and reseated. 4. All dirt and grime has been cleaned out from the inside. 5. The cartridge port has been examined and cleaned. Anything else I should check? Time for a burial ceremony? Thanks.
  19. So a little more info if anyone can help me. I checked the AC voltages coming off the transformer, and they look fine. Then I checked the DC voltages on the output of the power board, and they look fine. So something on the main motherboard is causing this problem. Game turns on, then the screen garbles after a few seconds. Thanks.
