Since I have some free time due to being laid off on Monday, I started hacking away at Uncharted Waters for the SNES. Love the sequel, but never did finish this one. I intend to change that, so at the very least I can point at something and say 'look what I did this week!'

Finally had my 6 month delayed yearly review at work today. Although I was giving serious thought to leave, a personal apeal from my new manager along with a dollar a hour raise makes me want to see what happens for a few months. Money can go a long way to solving problems.

So today, I'm shopping for a 1960's brown fluorescent desk lamp on ebay and the description reads: "This awesome lamp will add a fresh, funky vibe to your bedroom or office decor." WTF? It's the old-man-iest of old-man lamps. I just can't stand those cheap plastic LED ones they sell now.
