  1. The Lynx carrying cases are very nice and worth the money, got mine for I think $25 brand new. Its much smaller then it looks in photos and is very well padded. Your getting dust behind the screen on your PSP? What sort of case do you have it in? Now I'm paranoid about mine. My original Nintendo DS has a huge problem with dust in the upper screen, sadly i have had no luck in finding a guide on taking it apart so I can clean it. :/
  2. I don't really dig syndicate on the Jag. :/ Just can't figure it out well enough that I enjoy it. Glad I paid so little for it, of all the games I own for the Jag this is the only one I haven't been able to enjoy at all.
  3. Just saw some videos of the North Korean people grieving for the death of dear leader... I get the distinct impression that the filming was done at gun point.

in the words of Pink Floyd, "All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be." I think those folks were fed that cult of personality along with their mother's milk.

Yeah I've heard that from a young age they were taught to pretty much revere him as a god...but in the videos none of the people seem to have tears while crying. 0_o

It's way to organized. I mean, they are all crying in a perfectly aligned grid... what?

  4. You'll know if Santa hates you when you open your gift. Santa really hated me when I was a kid, I remember one year when I think i was 8 or so I got, I kid you not, 5 lbs of coal. I can't remember what I did to deserve that.
  5. I worked everyday up until christmas and I've still got most of my family to shop for. How will I get it all done with people tearing stores apart like animals. :(

You can still order online and have it rushed and make it by Sat.

  6. http://www.best-elec....com/jaguar.htm Here is a link you may find useful Wow... are they really "new in box" ? I forgot about that site, used it briefly when I had a 7800 for a few months. Thanks mate! Yes they are brand new, they are new old stock, these were consoles that never sold and were bought up along with all there other Atari related goods. I picked up my Jaguar from BE when I bought mine earlier this year, wanted one with the box and the prices people were asking on ebay were just totally unreasonable when compared to the slight added cost of just buying a new one. Plus believe it or not you actually get a warranty with a Jag from BE! Couldn't be happier with my purchase or Bradly's customer service, thought mine was messed up when I got it but he helped me determine that it in fact was just interference from poor cable routing and was able to suggest a solution.
  7. Haha yes they did tone them WAY down, they are still just as sour but for no where near as long. I used to buy them all the time as a kid and I think they stayed super sour for like 10 seconds before it started letting up, this batch the sour only lasts about 2-3 seconds. If you had a couple in quick succession they actually hurt your tongue and it would be kind of painful for a little while. I remember when they disappeared, I was so bummed. Then randomly one days years later I saw them in a candy store again.
  8. How complete is complete? As in all cables and a controller, or boxed?
  9. Got mine today! Mistook it for something else I ordered and opened it, I'd originally wanted to save mine for Christmas day but oh well. I got a tone of Warheads and Bubsy for the Jaguar! Thanks Santa from Boston, whom ever you may be! [i tried looking back through the posts to figure out who my santa is but failed since there are several people from Boston. lol]
  10. I'll bust out my copy on my next day off, likely won't place terribly high seeing as I very rarely play it since its not exactly my favorite game.
  11. My brother did a secret santa at his work last year, he got him 1 quadrillion dollars in Zimbabwean money.
  12. Is that an RC10B2 in your profile pic? Sorry for that being totally unrelated to your OP.
  13. I forgot how funny GLaDOS' passive aggressive comments are. rofl! Thinking of changing all my computer sounds to things she and the turrets say just for shits and giggles.

I love GLaDOS. The song at the end of the game is priceless.

  14. My copy of Eye of the Beholder for the Lynx is still for sale, $85 shipped in the US. :P

  15. If space is an issue you should look into getting a modded PC Engine rather then a TG16, they hold the record(official Guinness one in fact) for smallest game console. I don't own one but from the pictures they appear no wider then the controller, which is only about the width of a CD case. So storage wise you could easily tuck one away with all its stuff in a rather small box or even a drawer quite easily. I have the below games plus all my US HuCards. The sheer number that I got with the system kind of over whelmed me, I'm being totally ADD about playing them, usually playing them for only a short time(usually till my first game over) then swapping the cards or CDs out for another game. lol I need to focus sit down and work on just one. HuCard Bomberman '93 Bomberman '94 Dochuki Gomola Speed Parodius Da! PC Genjin 3 Son Son II Valkyrie no Densetsu CD-ROM Cho Aniki Psychic Storm Winds of Thunder Ys: Books I & II (US version) Arcade Card Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire (reproduction of course. ) Kabuki Itouryodan I really need to get an arcade card, Sapphire looks amazing and since I got both the arcade card games for free the cost of the card will be easy to justify once the holidays are over.
  16. I've got this intense urge this morning to watch a Miyazaki film. Shame I don't own any. :( Might have to change that after the holidays. :)

  17. Do you mean cosmetically or how well they work? If you just want reliable sticks do what I did and buy the best electonics gold kits with the upgraded sticks and then pop them into the nicest looking controller you have. I bought 2 filthy looking ones when I did this and scrubbed them clean, they came out great and if it wasn't for the rubbed away yellow paint the controllers could pass for brand new.
  18. I want to give it a try, which is a first for me as I'm generally totally against paying for a games I've already payed to own. If the pay scheme was more reasonable like you pay for 24hr and you get 24hr of play as opposed to paying for 24hr and having to pay non stop to make the most of your money for that day before time runs out. But since I love star wars and missed out on the last one(really wanted to try but never did) and this one looks really cool I think I'll give it a try. I like the that you aren't dependent on other people to finish quests, something thats always bugged me about MMORPGs because I know very few people that play them so I like the idea that I can quest with an NPC. So yeah I'm going to try it, its just all a matter of when, I'm gonna in all likely hood give it like a year or so to work out any teething that is needed.
  19. Loving it! Most of the games are kicking my ass though as they are much tougher then a vast majority of games I've played. Several even only give you one shot at beating them, no extra lives and no continues!
  20. Another nice thing about the Japanese library is the most expensive US games can generally be had much much much cheaper then their US counterparts so provided its not a game where reading is essential(which is pretty much every game thats not an RPG) then you are good to go. Also alternatively rather then getting a converter you could get a modded system. There are a number of people over on PCengineFX that offer the service. When I bought my Duo-R I got it modded to play US Hucards by the member of the forum I bought it from, works great! Oh and if you like shooters look no further, the TG16/PCE is what you want.
  21. Honestly the TG16 outputs pretty good picture as is through RF provided the connection on the console isn't dirty like mine was when I initially got it, but with a little cleaning it looks great. Honestly if your planning on playing on a CRT I can't imagine it improving it that much as to me it looks quite good on mine and even on my LCD its not that bad and certainly not worth the cost of investing in a turbobooster to me thats for sure.
  22. Got Ys I & II for the TurboGrafx-CD today. :P

  23. So not to long ago I picked up SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 for the PSP. And while I love the games I must say they are just as infuriatingly difficult as the arcade machines themselves. lol For instance Samurai Showdown is where I've been sinking a lot of time, mostly because its driving me so crazy that I'm determined to kick its ass. Its a fun game but the frustration to fun ratio is extremely lopsided, the combos are tough to pull off(not for the computer though who blasts them out rapid fire) and the enemies are cheap and can seemingly defend against any attack. I made it up to Genan last night and after a half hour gave up. Every time I got close to beating him he'd move far away and start spamming this ranged poison cloud attack that temporarily knocks out my guy. After a half hour of this I gave up, and this was on the easy setting! Even on easy this is by far the hardest fighter I've ever played. But I'll keep playing till I do it and after that I'll work on the impossible achievements in the game such as beating it on insane and beating it with no continues which I don't believe for a second are even possible. So anyone else have any games that drive them up the walls that they can't stop playing?
