  1. My TG16 is going to be going into the marketplace soon, I just no longer play it since I got my modded Duo-R and can't really see a reason to hold on to it. Not sure when I'll get around to posting it, need to find my damn cameras charger.

  2. Can anyone tell me what the orange box in the top of this photo is? Its part of a local CL add for a 2600. http://images.craigslist.org/5Ib5G85F93Lb3F53H5c3o5e219815ac67157d.jpg

      SRGilbert

Yeah, that's the big box for Star Raiders with the Video Touch Pad, not worth a whole lot though, pretty common.

  3. The tutorial in Shogun 2 is worthless, whats the point of having a tutorial on using terrain when it doesn't actually explain exactly what it expects you to do.

  4. Discovery of the day, drinking coffee right before playing Gunpey allows me to easily beat my previous high score, now at 702,800 and still going strong, taking a break to get more coffee. :D

      Got to 1,215,800 before dying!

  5. Thinking of picking up a new Jaguar game, kinf of thinking Attack of the Mutant Penguins or Dino Dudes.

  6. Just discovered some sort of palm growing in the back yard in the sand box. Its just a single leaf about 1-2 inches long sticking up out of the sand. Thinking of transfering it to a pot and seeing what happens. I wonder if the sand its in currently would be fine since its sprouted or if I should get special soil.

I would say that if it's growing in it's current location, it must be getting what it needs right there. :)

Unfortunately its in a place were it would need to be moved so it can't be left were it is, its growing very close to the edge of the sidewalk near the house and being in the sand box there is a good chance of it getting trampled or picked by my niece or nephews when they visit/

  7. Just beat Secret of Mana again. Now I want to play Secret of Mana 2, guess its time to do some rom hunting.

Seiken Densetsu III. Or something like that (I probably spelled it wrong).

      Zedex

How much does the first Secret Of Mana game go for on eBay these days? I'm thinking of getting myself a SNES (I'm a Genesis guy, so I don't one yet), and that would be one of the games I'd really want.

    3. A_Locomotive

      A_Locomotive

Yeah thats the one Austin, I know that there has been a full fan English translation of it. And Zedex definitely get it! Its an amazing game! I'm not sure what current prices for it are, when my brother bought me my copy several years back he paid I think about $100, but then again it was a 100% complete very nice condition copy. I'm sure it would be much cheaper loose, last one I saw for sale I think was like $40-60.

  8. Total War: Shogun 2 is $7.50 on steam? Is it worth picking up? Reviews seem all over the place, comparing user to published reviews.

    1. SoulBlazer

      SoulBlazer

I think it's a decent game -- not worth paying full price for, but that Steam price is quite good.

  9. Blah first boss in Patapon just kicked my ass for the 10th time, can't figure out what I need to kill him, wish he had a health bar so I could see if I'm actually getting close.

  10. Thinking of turning one of my broken arrows into a high tech back scratcher, lol I can think of no better use for an ultra light weight insanely strong carbon tube.

  11. Reinstalling Duke Nukem Forever to try out the new expansion.

  12. Plan for the day, get laundry going, go shoot my bow, play some Bubsy, play some skyrim, fold laundry, watch Apollo 13 on bluray.

You have the day off work? Sounds like my Sat. :)

      A_Locomotive

Yup, thanks to my random schedule I got the day off today. Sadly had to quite shooting as my bow lost a limb saver while shooting just as I'd moved to the farthest targets on the range. Bow felt really strange with only one so I called it quits till I can get it reattached. Sucked as I was getting a little impromptu lesson on form from another archer who was there. Would have liked to practice what he showed me more. Oh well, time for some Bubsy!

  13. Some fucker tried to access my bank account apparently. They failed to guess my password and after 3 tries my bank fortunately locked them out by disabling that password. Just spent 10 minutes coming up with a new more cryptic one to be safe, plus a completely different user name so they can't try and figure out my new password.

      Cebus Capucinis

But seriously though, good thing they noticed that. I had my account hacked about a year ago and it took literally MONTHS before everything was restored back to normal. It's a nightmare I wouldn't wish upon anyone.

      toiletunes

I did that once- I thought I had my password wrong, but I was actually using the wrong user ID and locked someones account by mistake.

The best passwords are the first letter of each word in a phrase or song. They are completely unguessable.

I didn't like dosbox, but I don't have the money for a real DOS PC... Anyone got a 286 or 386 to sell?

  15. Got back into archery, dug out my old bow from when I was a kid about 2 weeks ago, been having so much fun I bought myself a new one, got a Martin Jaguar Take-down with 40# draw weight. Haha I want to put the Atari Jaguar font on it now.

  16. SSD's are not worth the trouble when it comes to having to manage space. I seriously regret buying this thing. The speed is nice and all but everytime I want to install something I have to scrounge for space where I can, this means going so far as deleting wallpapers. -_-

You CAN move your STEAM installation folder, I did just that to free up room, this guide worked for me: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7418-YUBN-8129

How big is your SSD? 120gigs is plenty for me as an OS drive (4 tb of regular drives for the rest). But if you planned on installing a lot of games to it, perhaps you should have forked it out for a bigger one. :)

I know I can install Steam to the HDD, I've installed lots of stuff to it. What I meant is I wish I could install individual steam games on it and the rest on my SSD. My SSD is 128gb, which is what I could afford with my planned budget.

  18. I guess I've reached the age where your body starts to fall apart. lol I've got abominal pain I've had for severl days I'm seeing a doctor about tonight, need to make an appointment to have my foot checked out because I'm having pain in one of my arches, and my wisdom teeth might need to come out. Fun stuff.

Can only mask a problem so long, would rather deal with a potential problem before it has the chance to turn into a serious issue.

  19. wow... the steam/shower method of applying screen protectors is a hell of a lot more effective then I thought it would be. Just applied a screen protector successfully on my Caanoo on the first attempt. I've never 100% successfully done it before, let alone on the first try without sacrificing the first protector.

I had not heard of this method, interesting!

I had been thinking of getting it for a while and went for it when I saw that it was 66% off on steam. Its a very refreshing game, never played anything like it.
