  1. They definitely are, legit ones have clear shells and a convex grip on the top of the carts. Bump for a great seller.
  2. Went out and just stared at a Vita box for 30min while running errands, haha its hard to pull the trigger on something this expensive!
  3. My TG16 is going to be going into the marketplace soon, I just no longer play it since I got my modded Duo-R and can't really see a reason to hold on to it. Not sure when I'll get around to posting it, need to find my damn cameras charger.

  4. The 3G/Wi-Fi one just lets you stay connected to AT&T's Broadband network in real-time (supposedly) for Near and Chat and Leaderboards for a "more fantastic gaming experience". Not sure I care about all that AND gaming too! I have little actual interest in that so maybe the wifi version will be plenty for me.
  5. Can anyone tell me what the orange box in the top of this photo is? Its part of a local CL add for a 2600. http://images.craigslist.org/5Ib5G85F93Lb3F53H5c3o5e219815ac67157d.jpg

Yeah, that's the big box for Star Raiders with the Video Touch Pad, not worth a whole lot though, pretty common.

  6. Are there actually games planned with GPS functionality? And same for me in regards to physical, downloads are only tolerable to me if there is no other option or its at a substantial discount. Do the games save to the memory card or do they save to the game cards?
  7. The tutorial in Shogun 2 is worthless, whats the point of having a tutorial on using terrain when it doesn't actually explain exactly what it expects you to do.

  8. I went with the wifi version. Anytime i've ever had the choice in this with electronics that's what I've always done and I've yet to say to myself that I wish I had the 3g version. Anyways the 3G also has wifi so it's not missing anything that the wifi version has. The wifi version is, obviously, missing the 3G capabilities. Also, I could be mistaken, but I don't believe the gps function will work on the wifi only version. So its just GPS you miss out on really then? I just can't quite grasp why have a data plan on a portable console seems idiotic. Was pricing out what it would cost to get one a bit ago, I hadn't realized the memory cards were so retardedly expensive nor that the games were as expensive as they are. Might end up holding out for a price drop unless some absolute must have games show up.
  9. Discovery of the day, drinking coffee right before playing Gunpey allows me to easily beat my previous high score, now at 702,800 and still going strong, taking a break to get more coffee. :D

      Got to 1,215,800 before dying!

  10. I've been debating buying a Vita recently. Whats the deal with the 3G vs wifi? Seems initially like a no brainer to go for the wifi version since there is no data plan needed.
  11. So the last few nights my PSP has started doing something extremely annoying. Randomly during game play it will act as if the home button has been pressed, screen going gray and asking if I'd like to quit. It happens completely randomly with no seeming pattern or amount of time in between, sometimes it will do this and then do it again within seconds other times it won't happen much if at all. It has also recently had a few read errors with the UMDs, all on mint clean discs. I'm wondering if they are related. So is this something I can fix or will I need to contact Sony do you think? It should still be under warranty if its a 1 year warranty like I think I recall it being.
  12. Thinking of picking up a new Jaguar game, kinf of thinking Attack of the Mutant Penguins or Dino Dudes.

  13. I personally am not to big a fan, its fun but not engaging enough to keep me playing for a very long time. Its a shame I can't save and pick up my progress later as that would greatly increase how much I enjoy it. As is its just collecting dust, been thinking of parting with it.
  14. Just discovered some sort of palm growing in the back yard in the sand box. Its just a single leaf about 1-2 inches long sticking up out of the sand. Thinking of transfering it to a pot and seeing what happens. I wonder if the sand its in currently would be fine since its sprouted or if I should get special soil.

I would say that if it's growing in it's current location, it must be getting what it needs right there. :)

Unfortunately its in a place were it would need to be moved so it can't be left were it is, its growing very close to the edge of the sidewalk near the house and being in the sand box there is a good chance of it getting trampled or picked by my niece or nephews when they visit/

  15. Just beat Secret of Mana again. Now I want to play Secret of Mana 2, guess its time to do some rom hunting.

    1. Austin

Seiken Densetsu III. Or something like that (I probably spelled it wrong).

    2. Zedex

      Zedex

How much does the first Secret Of Mana game go for on eBay these days? I'm thinking of getting myself a SNES (I'm a Genesis guy, so I don't one yet), and that would be one of the games I'd really want.

Yeah thats the one Austin, I know that there has been a full fan English translation of it. And Zedex definitely get it! Its an amazing game! I'm not sure what current prices for it are, when my brother bought me my copy several years back he paid I think about $100, but then again it was a 100% complete very nice condition copy. I'm sure it would be much cheaper loose, last one I saw for sale I think was like $40-60.

  16. Total War: Shogun 2 is $7.50 on steam? Is it worth picking up? Reviews seem all over the place, comparing user to published reviews.

    1. SoulBlazer

      SoulBlazer

I think it's a decent game -- not worth paying full price for, but that Steam price is quite good.

  17. Thank you for reminding me about Mysterious Song! I'd had the frozen utopia page book marked for a while meaning to preorder, and just did!
  18. Blah first boss in Patapon just kicked my ass for the 10th time, can't figure out what I need to kill him, wish he had a health bar so I could see if I'm actually getting close.

  19. Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll check these out when I get the chance. Wasn't able to get to the store last night but instead we ended up playing a little Donkey Kong Country 3 and some Secret of Mana.
  20. So later today I'm going to be babysitting, my brother is coming along to keep me company and we are planning on bringing a console to pass the time once she is down for the night. I was thinking of heading to my local retro store and picking up a new multiplayer game for us. So any recommendations? Some of the co-op games we have are Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country 1-3, Super Bomberman, He doesn't have any co-op games for his Genesis and I'm not even sure what there is available and sad as it is we have almost nothing for the NES.
  21. I'm glad to hear that! I just hope the final price is a reasonable one, if when this goes on sale its in the $100 range with room to bend a bit I'm game but beyond that I'm not sure.
  22. http://www.mcvuk.com...neogeo-x/092841 Not so great news. No way would anyone touch this thing in that price range, not even a Neo Geo fanatic (even if it was made by the old SNK itself!). Seriously. I really wanted this thing too, I was filling out my info on the site linked too in Dr Manhattans post when I decided to see if there was on info on pricing, I was shocked when I saw it would cost more then $700 in the US, thats just a mind numbingly stupid price, I could buy a genuine AES and several games for that kind of money, or a freaking MVS and a multicart.
  23. To go along with the good news that its real there is also this horrendously bad news on pricing. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/blaze-confirms-500-price-tag-for-neogeo-x/092841
  24. Old games definitely were much harder. I once let one of my nephews play Ghosts and Ghouls I have on virtual console. After 30 mins he declared the game fucking bullshit and absolutely impossible... I absolutely agree with him. lol
  25. i agree with this 100%. That was one of my beefs with Oblivion, it just visually got boring pretty quickly, there were no enormous differences in environments or city design as there were in Morrowind. One thing I REALLY hope is that the next elderscrolls game takes place in a more fanciful environment with a much greater variety of environments. As is both Oblivion and Skyrim make me feel like I'm on earth.
