  1. Thinking of turning one of my broken arrows into a high tech back scratcher, lol I can think of no better use for an ultra light weight insanely strong carbon tube.

  2. Reinstalling Duke Nukem Forever to try out the new expansion.

  3. Wow this is fucking bullshit! Fuck bioware. Granted I'll likely get a bad ending anyway seeing as my character is a psychopath but still... Seriously WTF were they thinking?
  4. Plan for the day, get laundry going, go shoot my bow, play some Bubsy, play some skyrim, fold laundry, watch Apollo 13 on bluray.

You have the day off work? Sounds like my Sat. :)

Yup, thanks to my random schedule I got the day off today. Sadly had to quite shooting as my bow lost a limb saver while shooting just as I'd moved to the farthest targets on the range. Bow felt really strange with only one so I called it quits till I can get it reattached. Sucked as I was getting a little impromptu lesson on form from another archer who was there. Would have liked to practice what he showed me more. Oh well, time for some Bubsy!

  5. Currently playing Cave Story. Loving it to death and its got me looking at indie games now, which is a segment I've never thought much of till recently. Thinking of one for my next purchase, currently thinking either Limbo or Vessel.
  6. Some fucker tried to access my bank account apparently. They failed to guess my password and after 3 tries my bank fortunately locked them out by disabling that password. Just spent 10 minutes coming up with a new more cryptic one to be safe, plus a completely different user name so they can't try and figure out my new password.

But seriously though, good thing they noticed that. I had my account hacked about a year ago and it took literally MONTHS before everything was restored back to normal. It's a nightmare I wouldn't wish upon anyone.

I did that once- I thought I had my password wrong, but I was actually using the wrong user ID and locked someones account by mistake.

The best passwords are the first letter of each word in a phrase or song. They are completely unguessable.

I didn't like dosbox, but I don't have the money for a real DOS PC... Anyone got a 286 or 386 to sell?

  8. Its been way to long since I've used dos. :/ I can't figure out dosbox. I've downloaded and installed dosbox as well as Legend of Kyrandia but can't figure out what I need to do next.
  9. I think this may be it! I could have sworn the perspective in game was more over head like in the zelda games but one screen shot is extremely familiar, I had a sense of deju vu when I saw it so I think this may be the game. Now I need to find a copy and try it and and see! haha honeslty I want to try all the games mentioned so far. That Albion one looks and sounds fun. Now I just need to find these game and figure out how to run them. Haven't run anything that old since I got Day of the Tentacle working on my last computer a few years ago. This is the screen shot that caught my eye. The character doesn't ring a bell but that altar or what ever it is with the gem stones set in it is extremely familiar.
  10. Got back into archery, dug out my old bow from when I was a kid about 2 weeks ago, been having so much fun I bought myself a new one, got a Martin Jaguar Take-down with 40# draw weight. Haha I want to put the Atari Jaguar font on it now.

  11. SSD's are not worth the trouble when it comes to having to manage space. I seriously regret buying this thing. The speed is nice and all but everytime I want to install something I have to scrounge for space where I can, this means going so far as deleting wallpapers. -_-

You CAN move your STEAM installation folder, I did just that to free up room, this guide worked for me: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7418-YUBN-8129

How big is your SSD? 120gigs is plenty for me as an OS drive (4 tb of regular drives for the rest). But if you planned on installing a lot of games to it, perhaps you should have forked it out for a bigger one. :)

I know I can install Steam to the HDD, I've installed lots of stuff to it. What I meant is I wish I could install individual steam games on it and the rest on my SSD. My SSD is 128gb, which is what I could afford with my planned budget.

  13. Anyone else? I found more screen shots of Albion and I'm not sure thats it.
  14. 2D, from the few screen shots I can find it looks fairly inline with what I remember it looking like but I don't directly recognize any of the locations or objects in the screen shot so I'm not sure, I also don't recall what your character looked like either.
  15. No that doesn't look like it. I recall it being more colorful. I'm not 100% certain as I'm not sure how old I was(ir if it was infact 5th or 4th grade I was in) but I think it was around 1995 - 1997. I know it definitely wasn't 4 color, and 16 color doesn't seem right but its possible I'm remembering it being better looking then it really was since up to this point it had been one of the best looking games I'd seen on a computer.
  16. So today I had a conversation with someone about the old PC games we used to play at school. like Oregon Trail, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, and many others. During this conversation I remembered one that I recall little about, I played it back in the 5th grade when a friend of mine brought it from home and installed it on the school computer. Memories of this game have popped up every now and then when I'm thinking of old PC games nad everytime it drives me crazy because I can never figure out what it was! What I do remember is that it started in a forest and was in an overhead view kind of like the Zelda games. One of the gameplay mechanics featured birthstones, opal, amethyst, emeralds that sort of thing, can't recall if it was an actual game play mechanic but I recall them being things you found. Beyond that though my memory is very fuzzy, though I recall it being very fun, we played it all the time. The only other detail I recall was in caves there were things that looked like berries but also looked like they were smoldering embers. I know its not much to go by but maybe someone here will have a clue what I'm talking about and I can put this mystery to rest.
  17. My local retro store has a knock off system on display, can't remember exactly what it was but it was a game boy knock off(of an advance I think). I asked about it once and why they had it and they said it wasn't for sale or anything they just kept it because it was hilariously shit. They let me read the manual and it was comedy gold filled with engrish and over the top exaggerations of its power and in several cases flat out lies right in the manual about its magical abilities.
  18. I guess I've reached the age where your body starts to fall apart. lol I've got abominal pain I've had for severl days I'm seeing a doctor about tonight, need to make an appointment to have my foot checked out because I'm having pain in one of my arches, and my wisdom teeth might need to come out. Fun stuff.

Can only mask a problem so long, would rather deal with a potential problem before it has the chance to turn into a serious issue.

  19. Pretty cheap being about $30, from what I can tell. I'm hoping to not have to pay that much for this game, new or used. Actually, $20 is really pushing it for me. Odd... last time I looked it was selling for $15 new w/ free shipping.
  20. I miss playing this and X-Wing, my dad got me them when I was very young and let me play them on his computer when he didn't need it for work. I actually think TIE Fighter was the first game I ever played. Hmm wonder if its possible to get it working on Windows 7 if I found a copy...
  21. You can get them brand new for pretty cheap on ebay IIRC.
