Oh, Ceebies you are far too kind. Didn't get a chance to post in this thread earlier and I don't have the energy to argue so I will say you guys are too generous. I really want to see my family that I haven't met and I have been saving up for that as most of you know but there is no way I could afford everything especially with current medical expenses. The one thing besides finances that could stop me (as long as I am alive and able to travel) is that I am awaiting a call back from the Dr. about stuff that will have to be done around that time in regards to health issues or also if those conditions worsen. I also would very much need pain medicine etc for all the walking/traveling. Because it's a long plane flight(5hrs) Bean and I would have to get there at least 1-2 day early and have to stay 1-2 day after because of the stress of travel on both of us physically, the very bad state of my immune system, and a 5hr plane flight. She gets vicious jet lag after 3hr+ flight and it takes a day or two for both of us to recover going by past experience, as long as I don't get sick which is a very big risk for me. Ideally a minimum trip staying somewhere is 4-5 days honestly and staying less is not possible especially with how much activity an event like this would include. I would need the flights which would have to be nonstop and I usually fly with Southwest because they have been amazingly good about a very gimpy mommy flying alone with a little one, would need hotel, transport to and from hotel that could accomodate stroller, carseat, playpen and most likely 2 suitcases. It is a scary sight trying to balance everything and carrying it myself while leaning on a cane, trust me lol, because I have found that there's very little to no assistance at airports for as much gear as I would require. I can pack natural meals, snacks, and shelf stable milk in single servings for her to help cut down food expenses. All being said it would be a lot of money and totally ignoring food costs and anything else etc I am looking at $1000+(ater taxes) for the airfare and hotel alone minimally (with staying 5 days). Traveling with a child isn't cheap or easy in the best of health as many of you know and I am far from the best of health at the moment. I really appreciate everything but it's just too much in my opinion. Thank you though as it means more then words.

To me it matters more what kind of person he is (kind, caring, community and family oriented, hard working) then how much money he makes. To be honest, how he's earned it is only his accountants, his family's, and of course the IRS's buisness. If he purchases something, he will pay and he stands behind his word. What more really needs to be publically known (unless he wants it to be or speaks it)? I guess it matters to the guy that asked. I am curious also, but would not ask such a personal question to someone I do not know well. My income is well documented (U.S.Army retired CW3 20 years) thru many websites, so I guess I personally do not give a hoot if anyone knows how much I make.

Yeah, had to report this (I'm the games editor of the site in question), been reading the thread and following the auction since day 1. pps- I just felt I have to add that Wonder is such an amazing person that even with everything he took the time to drop me a quick msg last night and asked how my health and how the Princess is doing and to talk family. I'm not saying it to embarass him or anything but good friends here like that have kept me going and it speaks volumes about the kind of person he truly is and what is most important. So thank you, it truly means so much.

It was a heck of a night especially with Tanman keeping us company in the chatroom during the countdown. I congratulate him of course, he's really a very cool person after bsing a couple times. I also hope he isn't deaf from his wife screaming, isn't too tired in the AM after all the fun he's probably having 'celebrating' tonight with his wife, and hope everyone enjoys the round of drinks he's buying in Vegas, lmao. I am beyong pleased at the home the cart has found and know it at least is going to be well taken care of and shared with the community. Couldn't have gone to a much better person imo, though there were a lot of good people involved throughout. I wouldn't want someone bidding on something of mine if they don't pay. A history of non payment even in positive feedbacks can't be a good thing. I would say it if you don't care about a neg.

I woudl check with a tax professional or even with someone like H&R block to be safe and pay the extra money for their audit protection/representation program that year especially with a huge sale like this. TBH and IMO with the amt the auction is sitting at now, if I was Tanman and the winner was a reasonably near/withing extended driving distance and the price did hold - I would, after payment, meet in a public place and deliver the game in person and also look at their Drivers license and do anything else possible to make sure the game is going to the right person. Have any online news sites picked it up yet as i haven't been able to foolow as closely as I have liked and most of all what does his wife think now about his hobby now? LOL

I love how people can turn a fun thread into a debate and totally remove it from its original intended purpose. What's in the past is in the past. If people care about the future of anything they will do their best to help support it imo not argue about what can't be changed.

ShyOne is one of the most talented women (generous and kind as well) I know with any crafts. Her stained glass work is also beyond compare as are other projects she's made. There are few people talented enough to create what she has especially when it comes to boxes for games.
