  1. You still haven't even given an ounce of info to people about anything you know about any kind of programming. In order to have a starting point, it is important to know where you are first. People are also being very kind to you. There is a wonderful search function for information here on AA as well as google and yahoo search which may be helpful and easier then feeling liek you might be annoying people.
  2. This belongs in the auction forums and also since you are a new member here if you have references for selling on other sites etc it would be nice to know more about you for anyone interested in bidding.
  3. Got the OK from Albert to have it here, will have a thread in the Announcements forum shortly but wanted to let you guys know it's 'home' here now! Hope you will join me and hope we can have some new company join us!
  4. They have been pushing the heck out of flat rate boxes here.
  5. Last warning, next argumentative post or any after will or could on mod preview and the thread will be locked.
  6. Lets just be thankful for those who have worked hard and not argue please, it's enough. Most people have already spoken well enough on Any argument that might be occurring and I would appreciate the matter done now.
  7. Oh the memories of that chatroom, lmao, will last a lifetime. If you guys want, heck with it if not there then, we can meet here at the usual time as long as the chat stays open to non-subscribers and Albert agrees.
  8. I got gipped out of a pair of shoes but ebay didn't want to intervene since the seller was "actively communicating with me to remedy the problem". I didn't leave feedback because of the communication... which lasted until 30 days was up and now I hear nothing from them.I can't leave negative feedback and can't file a claim with Ebay. Granted it was only 16$ but it's the principal. Now I have the chips for the game that were also bought off ebay and I haven't heard a word about. When I have bought thing sfrom Amazon difrectly they have always been shipped faster then anything and arrived in mint condition. I haven't purchased from secondary sellers on amazon though. I am sorry Albert for your bs you're going through.
  9. I wasn't able to as well. I also used 2 diff computers on 2 different networks alternating trying and I couldn't even get into any part of their website nevermind my shopping cart. I still will probably buy a few things from them eventually just not any time soon. I'm not angry since it was more of a surprise givaway. I expected a huge run, alol of us were trying and it was an amazing givaway I just wish I could have gotten through. I'm spending the extra 80$ that my order was over on a new TENS unit and not fighting with the insurance company any more about the garbage one they paid for (to try and get a little pain relief). If this was an upgrade imo, they need to get their money back. I do love the comaprison to ticketmaster, lol, though at least I have been able to buy tickets from them eventually for what I wanted, as opposed to nada today.
  10. I've yet to even be able to touch the site today but do have almost 200 in my shopping cart. *If* anyone got on what addy are they using if they want to share?
  11. It's never good when browsing the site that the server has gone down 3 times already and I am counting the 2 times it took to create an account as 1.
  12. I actually enjoyed the game gear's library and have at least 80some games lol, but you wouldn't catch me paying that much either.
  13. i haven't figured out what I'm going to do *yet* but you're getting something extra special.
  14. OK guys. They said they were open to offers and if anyone is interested please send them a PM, otherwise if you don't like a price you don't have to buy it. Thanks and good luck.
  15. Just wanted to say thank you again. I'm sorry for not replying to PMs etc right now or being very active. I'm just exhausted. Fixed that for ya, It's a real shame too cause Dennis is a great dude. It indeed is such a huge shame. I was stunned when I got the message when I went to order. Holiday & Ms Pac cart will be shipping as soon as I get the replacement chips. Ended up going to ebay and no the service isn't close to the same.
  16. I realize that certain accusations were being tossed around senselessly and baselessly before all information about my baby's cause of death was even known. So, I wanted to post this publicly before locking the thread as Cebus requested to hopefully put some questions to rest. Another large parrot would cost anywhere from 1k-2k and I don't have that money. There are a lot of Blue and Gold Macaws as well as several African Greys on of all places Craigslist which imo is heartbreaking. They range in "price" from 700-1500 which is out of my limits and is saddening to me because an animal is far more then just property and since it cannot care for itself deserves the best that can be provided for it. They are a lifetime commitment and I only pray that they find good loving homes as they deserve because I may want to but I can't save them. Even if a person doesn't look a a "pet" as human family, which no animal is, I still do stand by that it's the owners responsibility to do the best they can in all circumstances. They may be a type of commodity but they are still intelligent living creatures that do feel pain and stress and can't even articulate it the same as we can. They should be protected imo. not traded like a piece of furniture. My parrot was in no physical pain - it was sudden cardiac and respiratory arrest due to a metabolic disease/defect. Unfortunately, It would have happened eventually after results of a necropsy/autopsy I had done to protect the other animals and humans in my house in case it was something contagious. It was a hidden time bomb with no way of being able to be found even on the xrays that were performed annually and immediately before her death. I managed to bring my bird back basically in front of a friend who witnessed something very personal and hear breaking on camera and my crying and fear as well as me reviving her slightly. She had received regular vet checkups and a clean bill of health based on physical appearances, annual blood and fecal lab work, and was at the time of immediate death under the direct care of a veterinary surgeon who has more knowledge then anything. I do not appreciate me or my care of animals being slandered or questioned. I have certifications in animal care and welfare, a special one in fact for Avian as well as having birds for over 20 yrs. She also had a certificate to work with seniors and children which required a clean bill of heath as well as many hours of training and care. She had a 5ft by 4ft cage which is easy enough to prove as well as the highest quality pelleted diet with fresh fruits and vegetable as well as proteins. Anyone who knows me and has spent time with me personally can also vouch that I would never cause the prolonged suffering of any creature especially one I loved so much and worked with for so many years. I'm tired of this, and of being accused of something without even asking me what did happen, and I really don't like reliving my pain further because these past few days have really sucked ass. Thank you.
  17. I am locking this thread right now. I will review everything and any further action will be dealt as necessary and please read my post above, thank you.
  18. This is rediculous yet again and I am saddened to see another argument break out here. Please see my post below for further information. Off topic - My parrot was in no physical pain - it was sudden cardiac and respiratory arrest due to a metabolic disease/defect. 19. Crap, I haven't even thought of a companion of some kind for the other bird because of her declining health with the cancer. She's never been alone in almost 16 yrs and I went from 3 birds to just her in a matter of several months since her brother passed away as well, so we'll see. For a cockatiel 15 years is about average for their lifespan. I can always check around and see if something needs adopting but will spend more time with her meanwhile, give her her favourite treats, and keep an eye on her to make sure she's eating etc.
  20. Who needs the power of Cheese when you can behold the power of Wiz...
  21. I also would like to make sure that if the person hosting that auction has a companion animal of their own or knows someone who does or even if they have a favourite animal based charity, they take some of that money (if they don't want to use all of it) and puts it toward their care.
  22. My 'kids' were rescues, even my cats and dog. I wouldn't buy another bird but I dunno as far as taking in a rescue goes. I have animals at home that arent doing well and my daughter of course never mind my own health, is a full time job. To those who have animals at home if you want to tuck the money away into an emergency fund for them it's always good to do because it breaks my heart to hear people say they have to consider money before care but that's the reality of things many times especially with how much costs have gone up. I will be buying towels and blankets for the vet as a thank you for everything she's always done. There are also several animal related charities I haven't had the money to donate to. If Bigg could use a hand in any way, I would love to help too, or anyone with an animal in need. I guess what I am saying is that you guys were just so amazinlgy kind to do this and I will leave it up to you. Just dunno what to say right now.
  23. The auctions forum is for auctions on any site GG, Ebay, whatever. If someone wants to sell something to AAers exclusively that's what the marketplace is for and threads can be set up in whatever format the topic starter wants. It's an obvious aspect of the community sure and that's why those sections are there buut it's not the main goat as was stated previously. Obviously any transaction is done at the buyer and seller's own risk and if someone wants to start another auction site to cater to members specifically and would like to dedicate all their time and energy to upkeeping it, then that is entirely on them I would guess. That's just not the primary function of aa and I highly doubt Albert wants to assume liability for anything that might go wrong nor has the time to police things 24/7. If someone sees an auction posted in the marketplace and makes a mod aware of it, it will be moved to where it should be as well.
  24. Thanks again for everything all. I have to let my dad know and Pidgey was my 21st birthday present from my dad. An expensive gift for him was 100$ so you can imagine how floored I was when I still remember him giving me an envelope with 1K cash in it and my dad saying "happy birthday, go save your bird". Parrots are stunningly intelligent creatures truly and when they mature have about the same intellectual equivalent and emotional capacity as a 3-5 yr old child. They can perform simple tasks and tricks, even putting together puzzles, shooting a mini soccer/football into a net and dunking a mini basketball and can mimic everything from household appliances to different voices - pidgey had 5 main voices 3 of them human. Funniest thing Pidgey ever said was "bad dog, bad cat, bad 'persons name here', bad bird... good pidgey good girl, good mommys baby". She could sound like an exact copy of my dad's voice saying hello which as you can guess made for some very awkward panicked dating moments. She could sound like a cockatiel and a parakeet, loved copying the trash truck going up the street and a microwave. They pretty much are an all in one kind of companion and the larger parrots especially thrive on attention, affection, and training. Saying I have a 5ft. by 4ft empty cage and 5 gallon container of toys as well as 5 different types of foods doesn't begin to sum up the commitment that a companion like her requires. The non human creatures in our home include the puppy, the cats, the little tiel, Bean's 1 'baby' mouse, Bean's 1 'bsby' rat, 21 yr old silver dollar fish - yes 21, 6 yr old hermit crab, 13 yr old frog and catfish, 3 yr old dwarf water frog and bean's 3 yr old goldfish she's had since she was a baby. Old kids and a lot of memories. And anyone who has seen my daughter playing and talking to the animals here on camera knows that she's inherited her love of animals from my dad and myself. My house is so eerily quiet right now and I've yet to figure out what to tell Bean other then 'Pidgey had to go bye bye'.
