  1. He loves Tony Hawk for PS! When I payed I just pushed random buttons myself, lol. But that worked and it still looked impressive.

We just are looking for some more games to get him started since most stores won't let you return stuff after it's been opened. We have a few already boxed that we bought, but he'll just toss/rip/lose the boxes anyway.

  2. *huggz* Much appreciated!

It's hard knowing how easy or ungodly complicated a game is w/ out playing it so that's also why I would rather buy stuff from people here. I don't care if the games have boxes and what kids normally read instructions anyway, lol, but having a label would be nice since it's a gift. Since he wants either GBC or GBA games going through them all would be impossible. Some times we get something for him and he just says no way he won't even try it. Can't be mad at the kid, but then you are stuck w/ whatever it is. - Heck for anyone who has kids you know what that's like, lol. :D

Except for having a few cognitive/motor skills problems he's just like most kids hyper, loves to run around and rough-house and likes very typically "boy" stuff. :) As much as it's nice to have free games, who wouldn't take one :wink:that's not the point. I am willing to buy the games as long as they are not expensive. It's hard to explain who they are going to and what kind of games I would need since we treat him just like anyone else and he's really that great. I also figured that some people may have games that they don't play anymore or got tired of especially if they were too easy - which would be perfect in that case. I really didn't think there was a collectors market for most GBA games, I could be wrong though, but we stick to older stuff. :)

The kid loves poke suff and yugioh its just some stuff is hard for him.

Since it's the holidays and some of you have kids a warning for anyone - that yugioh movie is horrible! His dad didn't want to go so I dumbly volunteered - half way through I had the worst migraine, lol, basically crawled out of the room and poor z28 was left sitting in there. You know it's bad when the manager of a movie theater can pick what movie you were trying to sit through w/ out you even telling and offers a free movie ticket just cause she thinks it was that bad. But of course he loved the movie!

  3. @z28 Your wife is my new favorite person

Woo hoo and I even got that in writing! :P

My Grandfather's wife knits and as a kid I would love to sit by her and watch. I also got a lot of sweaters and picked colors myself, lol. Sadly, Never picked up on it but was always amazed at the complexity of the stuff. I can do cross stitch and do other crafts though and enjoy it very much.

I am especially impressed at your sweater for a few reasons - the clarity of the letters, the tightness of the stitches, the fact that doing things on a diagonal, corners and round shapes are a real bugger and the authenticity of the charecters. It's reall a piece of Artwork, IMHO.

And one of my first thoughts was "Oh $#!+ thats friggin awesome!" :D

  4. We babysit a boy who is 9 years old and have known his family for years. He's getting his first hand-held system for Christmas - a GBAsp.(lucky kid ;) ) We're looking for games which are easy to use and don't require a lot fo complex button pushing since he has trouble with patience and can sometimes lose his temper quickly.

He is classified as ADD&LD and is in special classes at school. Also he has a problem controlling his strength and with losing things so we don't want to spend a lot of money either. Really is a Great kid and we hope to find games that can help his reflexes and thought.

He does have a PS1 and is ok with that except for killing discs sometimes. He loves playing fishing games on our dreamcast too and playing shooting games. He also loves monsters, pokemon and Yugioh (or however you spell it,lol)

So far the games we have are: GBA - Monster Bass Fishing, Crash Nitro Cart, Frogger's Adventure and GBC - Donkey Kong Country.

We are also buying - Namco Museum, Pac Man Collection (both GBA) and Pokemon Silver(GBC) from a very nice, sweet and generous person here on AA.

We're watching a few auctions on Epay but would much rather buy games from people on AA. :)

Thank you guys so much for any advice or games!

Oh excuse me *edited do to vulger content*, it was only 2 days. He also wouldn't know how to save, and yes we were replacing the battery since its only a watch battery and we have the socket to open the case.

You don't care to "listen to my personal problems" so why would I even bother to tell someone who obviously has no regard and doesn't give a shit anyway.

And here I thought you would be a good seller since you are an established member of AA ... :x

  6. I was the one who took 1 day to send payment - for anyone who has dealt with me and my husband they know that he works unholy hours. They also know that we do our best as quick as possible and will normally spend far too much and keep buying from a great seller. :D We were also about to submit payment since we just got home - I'm glad we hadn't yet. They also know that I don't handle the paypal account. *I haven't been this pissed off about something this stupid in a long while.*

I have never seen anything so spiteful or petty for a 5 dollar game that was going to a handicapped boy who just got his first hand held system. It took him 3 days to even respond to my PM but 1 day was too much to send payment. You are a HYPOCRITE.

  7. It's also a Black Dreamcast. *sigh*

Mr. MMF is right though, shipping can add on quite a bit.

Mrs. MMF would also be a hero in my book as we have braved Bust Buy Black friday sales for quite a few years. *shudder, cringe*

As far as emulating goes, we've never tried that with ours. I've heard that playing burned discs as well can wear out the system faster. With having so many types of systems, I would rather play the game on the original myself.

  8. I think that Castlevania SOTN, Dragon Warrior as well as Final Fantasy games would be good examples of being more common and getting a higher price. Worms World Party (R1 DP) goes for 20$ at one vid. game store, used copy no less.

EB sells Marvel vs Capcom 2 PS2,XBox used for $44.99 but the new ones are only $39.99. Go figure. For a while Mario Cart Double Dash GC w/ promo disc sold for $54.99 used, while new was only $49.99. It's even more amusing since employees usually will want to sell you a used copy first since most of the time they are cheaper. * shrug*

  9. Dreamcasts are awesome and one of my very favorite systems we have like 89 games for it - not the whole US collection like 'some' people *drool*.

Fifty is a decent price and while we have 3 systems I would most certainly try to con the hubby into buying that if I were in your place. :D

We'd trade you the Black one for a white one and we may have a few double games as well.

  10. As horrible as this may sound (and it's not an insult of any kind) - instead of making 101 threads in all different forums about this cart or wanting that one why don't you compile 1 thread of all the stuff you need/want/have to trade/want to sell/ and save space and cause less clutter ? On an up side to doing that You may get more then a response or two, you can always add to it/update and it's all in one place so it's harder to lose track of? And it doesn't tend to irritate people who dislike erroneous threads posted everywhere. :)

  11. I loved this song as a kid! My uncle is jewish. :) There are a lot of different lyrics but of all the places to find the midi version...

http://www.catholic.net/christmas_songs/te...l?channel_id=17 Just had to share that one! :lolblue:

    Anyway...

    I have a little dreidel,

I made it out of clay,

And when it's dry and ready,

    Then dreidel I shall play.

    (Refrain)

    *Oh dreidel, dreidel, dreidel,

    I made it out of clay;

    Oh dreidel, dreidel, dreidel,

    Now dreidel I shall play.

    It has a lovely body,

With leg so short and thin,

And when it gets all tired,

It drops and then I win.

    (Refrain)

    *Oh dreidel, dreidel, dreidel,

With leg so short and thin,

    Oh dreidel, dreidel, dreidel,

It drops and then I win.

    My dreidel's always playful,

It loves to dance and spin

    A happy game of dreidel

    Come play, now let's begin.

    (Refrain)

    *Oh dreidel, dreidel, dreidel,

    That loves to dance and spin;

    Oh dreidel, dreidel, dreidel,

    Come now lets begin.

  12. We had to order our gift as well - every store in the area didn't have it. I just wouldn't post too many details, don't want to give it away or who you have!

I got a PM saying that my gift was on the way so it feels like I've been camped out by the mailbox, lol. :D

We did get a package yesterday of some games we had bought so at least that helped. Is it just me, or do other people love getting packages in the mail other then lots of bills, catalogues, and junk credit card offers? I don't get much other then those usually, blah.

  13. That looks friggin awesome - blue is one of my very favorite colors! :D

I wonder if we send you one of our N64's that are collecting dust if we could commission one. :ponder:

Now that would be a hella buisness to get into!

  14. Why would anyone want to do that? Taking off the original label would greatly de-valuate the cart.

Agreed.(at least far as I know it would a hella lot)

Good luck to all and sniping is allowed

Even if it "wasn't allowed" I am sure someone would anyway.Even if it went un-godly high there is always someone w/more money.

  15. Sure, we love the game since we have 99% very common games. We also think this was very nice of you to run the contest and it ws the first contest we've even ever won on AA,lol. Heck we didn't know if you even had a case for the game, but it was very fun indeed! :) If the game is a private one from your collection and you don't have a back up we feel quite bad.

    Sincerely,

    Anna & Shaun
