I agree with you in the short term, but Sony will take a big chunk away for sure. Ultimately the mobile phone will dominate the hand held gaming market. The N-gage is just the start, but when you think that almost everyone has a mobile these days then it seems obvious that it is the future of portables. Think about it, why have a phone and a console when you can both in one?

I agree that maybe in Japan this will work, but I don't think so in the States.

Firstly, as far as kids are concerned, games are going to get expensive and although I am not sure how they are billed but I don't know too many parents that would pay lots of money knowingly so their kids can rack up bills by playing games. Also, a lot of schools don't really allow cell phones to be used during the day.

Second, and I know this is old fashioned but, some people (like me) use their phone for phone calls and a few occasional reminders /messages. (That is when I remember to bring it with me or turn the darn thing on. :D )

  2. I haven't met many Genesis games I haven't liked. :ponder: Probably why we have so darn many.

I know you didn't want sports games but Mutant League Hockey and Mutant League Football were the first 2 genesis games I ever played and There are also a ton of fighting games and a lot of side scrollers.

If you don't want a lot of carts but want a decent variety of games you could get:

    - Sonic Classics - includes Sonic 1 & 2, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine

    - 6-Pak - includes Sonic, Revenge of Shinobi, Columns, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Super Hang On

    - Arcade Classics - includes Centipede, Missile Command, Pong in various versions

    - Williams Arcade Greatest Hits - includes Stargate, Defender, Robotron: 2084, Sinistar and Joust

    - pinball my favorites are DinoLand & Dragon's Revenge

    - Castlevania Bloodlines

    - Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel (had to say it :D )

    - TMNT Tournament Fighters wasn't bad

  3. For classic consoles we do have a lot of the same games for different systems. Also hubby collects Star Wars & Castlevania stuff so we have that. Collect Genesis,, Atari, NES so some games would be similar there but I like weird and unique games. :)

We have smash packs and the equivalent for the newer systems with classic games on them. As far as newer games nah, one version per systems. So far we have a GBA&SP but they play game boy games and we have more of them then actual GBC & GBA games. We only have a PS & PS2 but when/if we get a Gamecube or Xbox don't plan on getting double games for those.

  4. Looking for games with good labels, boxes aren't necessary, instructions aren't either. If a game has an overlay or something that's needed that would be appreciated though.

We would always rather deal with a good seller from AA . 8)

The only games we have at the moment are: Buck Rogers, Centipede, Donkey Kong, DK Jr., Gorf, QBert, Time Pilot, Wing War, and Zaxxon.

Looking for Games like Burgertime, Mouse Trap, Frogger1&2... Kids and animal games are my favorites, sports for z28, fighting games for us both, and of course classics.

We aren't very picky at the moment, but don't want junk and definitley appreciate inexpensive prices.Thank you very much for your time. Any additions for our collection would be greatly appreciated. :)

  5. Almost every effing TV station has that retarded McDonalds Chicken Select strips commercials on. I am not loving it! I would sooner not eat for an entire day that eat those damn strips now, not like 'quality food' and 'McDonalds' were ever associated in the same sentance anyway.

  6. Most of the"popular" TV shows and Series already do things like this. Like the food they are making in the kitchen etc. Some people would argue that it makes a game more "realistic" even.

Supposedly, they would like to place products "only where they make sense". Somehow, I just don't believe those greedy, manipulative ... buggers. I hate watching television most of the time because of all the stupid commercials. Sports games, like football, take so darn long because of all the advertising. Even with movies and the cost of some used DVD's being as little as 10$ on a regular basis or rentals being so cheap, most of the time I just wait till then to see a movie rather then see it in the theatre. It's cheaper, less advertising being shoved down your throat, and you don't have to deal with all the crowds(mostly noxious pre-teens). Just like the TV "on demand" that's becoming popular.

For anyone else who is highly against advertising in games like I am, it doesn't leave us many choices. Me personally, it just means I will devote more time to my classic gaming collection and ignore most new games. I do that already as it is. It's about preserving history as well as having fun, kids should know how games are supposed to be - enjoyed without worries or wondering what's cool one day and out the next. I also don't play PS, XBox etc. games on line - can't afford it for one, and more ads are just re-affirming that choice.

It really does make for a bleak future but I think in most of our nightmares, we all knew it was going to end up like this anyway.

  7. Thanks for any info btw. Can anyone help please? I'm going nucking futs looking! :D :?

I've checked past threads with little success. DP doesn't have a full list. I checked MayhemUK's and that's an awesome page but not a complete list. Lemon64.com has a huge site and game list but no rarity scale.

Is there any scale really out there?

I'm trying to log hubby's games and a few of my own on cart commander and only half of the titles were even listed w/ no rarities. We have about 60 actual game disks and about the same in copies, also a few carts. (Which I am not even looking at yet, lol.)But we'll always take freebies, who wouldnt?

  8. Relax, if everything went as you say it did sounds like a lot of people here supprt your sale.

I don't want to state any association with assholes and New Jersey, but if the cart fits... :ponder:

Sounds like since the "communications" have broken down he's going to try getting nasty and bully you to see if he can get you to cave in. He may also try the whining/cry baby approach followed by the bargaining and placating. Keep a cool head and log of all communications! If you can have witnesses to the conversations even better. Don't leave any negative comments, it will look worse for him if he does and you don't.

*Just think hopefully his spouse(if he has one) is kicking his ass.*

Return that game to sender if he sent it to you. Make sure its registered certified whatever. Bring the TV it worked fine on with you to court if you have to. Finally, Make sure you bill him all your lawyers fees, communications & travel expenses, hell get him for harassment too if you can if it goes to court/when you win the case. :)

  9. Thanks! WOW...

That's a really beautiful layout for a listing. I've never seen the game in person and appreciate the photos. If the person had doubts that it worked they should have asked to see a pic being played on a TV. You seemed very willing to work with any bidders, and problems or questions should have been resolved then not make you pay for it now.
