  1. It would be nice for the recommended traders thread. Ya know the whole "two thumbs up" thing.
  2. That wasn't my point at least. He did read my msg just couldn't take the time to respond. Even if he only said the collection of games was or wasn't available it would have been more polite. (at least to me) Or if he said that he would get back to me within XXX amount of time. It was an isht load of stuff I had asked about not 1 or 2 games so I would understand having to take a lil time but at least tell us so we aren't waiting and possibly passing up other things out of deference to a previous inquiry. I completely understand things take time, but I at least like to know where I stand.
  3. With both EB and Gamestop not selling older systems it really sucks anymore. They were about the only places you could find games. Except for one Salvation Army thrift that had Mario/Duckhunt for something like 10$. N64 has always seemed extremely overpriced as well besides SNES. We have found PS1 and PS2 games at yard sales this yr. Last yr was mostly GB/GBC. Collecting Atari is apprently considered "retro & rare" around here. With the main question after telling people what we collect is "Aren't those worth a lot of money?" *barf* We've also had a lot of deals going sour. Either the seller wasn't paying atention and already sold them to someone else, or just plain non-responses and talking in circles it's bitten the big one. Even what few Ebay sales we've attempted there are people hiking bids up like crazy and most recently looking for bleemcast games, the disks have looked like hell with nothing mentioned by the sellers but paying a bit of $. I'm even getting tired of the Marketplace here. There are only a small number of people on here anymore (and they definitely know who they are) I would not hesitate to buy something from if they had something for sale, said it was a good deal, or suggested picking something up from someone else without further researching the particular item in great detail. And Rick if you'd be willing to look for us, I've got a list of rarer games we're looking for I could send your way. If you found any (besides undying gratitude & a hug from me) we would of course reimburse you monetarily.
  4. Didn't reply back to my PM either but he did read it this morning.
  5. Looks like 2 people were duped. Also says it comes w/ a 128 page guide. Photocopied anyone? The dumb ass used his real name to write Checks or MO's to. Now that's smart. Hopefully he will be caught and it would have pissed me the eff off if we were one of the ones who bid. And another bugger is that if his location is correct he's not that far away from us.
  6. We've got a lot of systems with only a few games! Oh the Horror! LOL I'm listing the games we've already got since there are soo many. Now, where to start... We're looking for Famicom games. We've got Card Fighters Clash, Dark Arms, Fatal Fury 1st Contact, Metal Slug 1st Mission, Neo turf Masters, Puzle Bobble Mini, Samuri Shodown 2, SNK Gals Fighters, Sonic Pocket, Last Blade and Match of Millenium SNK vs Capcom. Thank you very much to anyone who bothered to read this far. (The "We" by the way includes da Hubbs and Myself. ) Have a great day/night/whenever !
  7. Hopefully the next update we get is that she got better and wedding happiness is also in full bloom. You are of course still in our thoughts.
  8. Damn, I pray this doesn't go through. This is one thread I wish I didn't see first after being sick for a few days. It's never good when there is only one place in town, regardless of how shitty a store may be to some people it still was open competition. I do predict that prices would first be low then go through the roof. How many people are now stuck with Walmart after they ran all the small stores into the ground? At least around here their prices are higher then grocery store sales anymore and the store employees are ignorant, arrogant, and just don't care (trying to put it nicely). For some of you that are gloating a lot of good people will be losing their jobs if this goes through from both companies. And regardless of how shitty you may think a job is - some people need that income.
  9. That 100k was probably the total square feet downstairs w/ both rooms and the front - it's on their website. It didn't seem like the right number to me either, lol.
  10. If I remember correctly ValleForge was about 100,000 square feet - I can't seem to get the link to work - AohelL at it's best. So how big is the "smaller" conference hall? Thanks.
  11. I wonder how many kids of FBI members now have cloned NES hardware? I was wondering the same thing - but I am guessing that they are relating it to games for current systems and using the trademarks of the charecters? I guess those mall kisoks that were still selling the systems around here are finally going to disappear. Last I saw they were at the "reduced" price of 39.99. I was waiting till they hit less then $20 just to get one for the heck of it myself. Just like I'll wait till the Flashback is under 20$ to get one just to "add to the collection".
  12. It actually kept me logged in before, now I have to keep logging in every time. Go figure.

Now that's what I call a hottie! *adds another whistle*
  14. That's odd. The opposite happens for me. I was not able to use the old site under AOL at all because of my settings I couldn't log in. Yet very happily I can use the new site no problem. It logs me right in every time so far without fail. I also use IE 6 and seem to not have any problems - will try the remember me setting and see what happens. It really made my day to finally be able to enjoy the site regardless of what I am using. Even w/ an occasional eff up it's better then not at all! Maybe it's your privacy or cookie settings?
  15. I don't know either.. It was almost in our affordable range too - an that doesn't happen often including a box. Looks like it is in really good shape too!
  16. I can't look at your site for another few months. I hope that we will have our finances in a better situation by then. When I do finally look again, my want list is gonna take up a lot of space, lol. And I don't want to just browse through everything - I don't have *that* much willpower. It's an awesome site and I can't wait to be able to buy. For anyone who can afford it, I've heard nothing but compliments and good words!
  17. Do that and I'll be forced to break out Babelfish and post the translations here! ..Al Why not just go to the following site and mix it up? | http://www.notam02.no/~hcholm/altlang/ Translate that then - Hah!
  18. Sadly the store I know tests everything, lol. They also routinely go through all the disks, and I mean all GC, XBox, PS etc... It's a crappy job but anything that looks totally worn gets defected out. Even if a customer brings something for trade and it's not tested right away due to a lot of people, it is tested before it's sold and again, defected if necessary. The local DM is big on pushing that.
  19. I *might* know a few people that work for the company. Each store is ran differently and a lot depends on the district manager- they have alot of control up here. If you look on-line or ask at a store you can find the toll free 1-800 customer complaint number. If it really was that bad I would definitely call and raise a fuss. Otherwise how can the change anything if they don't know exactly what the problem was? If you don't tell people what happened how do you expect anyone to listen, understand or take your advice. And while I personally have had problems with many companies I don't just bash a store but will let others know some details.
  20. Darn shame you aren't closer - we have both a table and a mitre saw we may have to get rid of. Yeah, bummer . Where is Cuddleville, anyway? Somewhere North of Margaritaville, located in the US. *big grin* ps- and the table saw is a Craftsman.
  21. Darn shame you aren't closer - we have both a table and a mitre saw we may have to get rid of.
  22. Amen! LMAO! That can work for most any "hobby"/collection as well and for a spouse of either gender.
  23. Ive heard of flyfishing widows before, Im sure video game widows isn't all that far off. I always like to remind my wife that if she needs to yell at me, at least she knows where to find me. On the couch playing video games. Sure beats spending my time drunk at the bar. I just hope my children share my effinity for video games. My poor wife is a fly-fishing, jeep and video game widow. Maybe I should bring some flowers home and tell her how much I love her... My point was Im sure a group for this wouldn't be too far fetched, and Im sure there is going to be video game addicts groups. There are some out there, and It will only grow with time. I know you said you probably won't make it out for PC6, but hey, if by chance you do, and you're up for it, I'll take you out to some local trout streams great for flyfishing I grew up in the area. Learned to fish on Manetawny Creek and spent a lot of time up at skipack creek too. Spent a ton of time fishing the tailwaters up at Green lane too. Used to love watching all the fish there as a kid. Many years ago though. We will hopefully be living out in Colorado then so Ill have plenty of new territory to cover with a fly rod. Well, if you all are having a fishing party please please include me in on that one. I'd even bring food and beer (if yall drinkwhile fishing) *bribe alert*! I won't go fishing alone - not quite safe anymore *grumble - sucks being female sometimes* and hubbs doesn't care to or have the patience for fishing. But he can sit for 8 hrs and play a Castlevania game - go figure. I don't have a fly rod anymore but I do still have a lightweight one. And yes all you guys should bring your wives home flowers!!! If she likes to garden it's that time of year for stores to start stocking plantable ones - which IMO are even better! That is an awesome idea! Many kudos!!!
