  1. Sounds like you had an awesome time. I was drooling at all those games and itching to dig through the piles myself. And that food looked very yummy indeed - my stomache just reminded me I haven't had lunch yet. I wish we had stores like that around here - just EB and Gamestop with the 'thrifts' being mostly stores selling to benefit charities but charging regular or high prices. Everything around here seems to be getting the dreaded 'vintage/retro" or 'classic collectable' labels.
  2. Well, it seems "everybody" posts their want list on here and while we are still working out an Atari one here's some assorted and some harder to find stuff both me and hubby are looking for on other systems. Who knows maybe we'll have some luck and find some. Thanks very much for at least looking!
  3. Oh yeah had to send earlier too, lol, and edit it a time or two. Damn you're good. Now if only the bEagles would win today too...
  4. The really nice thing is that with the kick-butt price discount most of us who were too chicken to try an mod it, or wanted to save one in a package and other weird stuff like that now have that option more readily available. I would feel a little less guilty if I tried to tinker w/ it and I messed up for 10$ then 30$. Sure I got the hubbs one at 30$ (even though I knew it may be found cheaper elsewhere later) But, I would rather have had one then none at all, and I read so much work and effort went into creating it so it was one project I really wanted to support! By the way - I *believe* QVC has a policy that you can return Christmas and Holiday stuff through January 31... (I just wouldn't want them to think that a slew or returns would be because there was little interest in a product like this, so we'll keep ours and get a few really awesome priced ones to "play" with and give as gifts. )
  5. http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categories/prod...banna=dreamcast The do want more for Sonic - 7.99 plus shipping, 19.99 for sonic 2, but if you don't have an easily accessible places to get games or if you don't want to get it from someone here it;s another option. I don't know if you can still use their discount card for used games and get 10% off on-line. They want 19.99 for Marvel vs Capcom which isn't *too* bad either. Soul Calbur is a great fighting game and its only 9.99. All the games are used by the way. (Gamestop wanted 17.99$ for Sonic and 37.99$ for Sonic 2, crazy prices, Marvel vs Capcom was 27.99$ used - I wouldn't pay that much for them)
  6. The closest KB to us anymore is an hour away. The other 2 closed.
  7. In this case Sonic Adventure is so common there isn't really a reason to have a burned. Looney Tunes Space race we have for PS2 as well. If it was some uber rare only realeased in a very limited quantity in one place in the world game, then I at least would be more understanding. Heck, I think we have like 2 copies of Sonic Adventure even - on'e a back-up original copy cause it was that cheap to buy, in fact I think someone gave it to us and it was free, lol.
  8. Sometimes 'purchased' games don't work well or right. Sonic Adventure is really a common game. It's better for you and the system - Joey Bastard is right, especially in this case, just buy the originals.
  9. LOL forgot hubby was signed in. OOPS... | Anyway, That's a VHS/DVD/Media cabinet, and for those w/ kids it has keys to lock it too which is a nice bonus. I was actually wondering if they would work in a cassette holder. Thanks for the info. Congrats on being 90% complete w/ your NES by the way - must have taken a while and a lot of space.
  10. Even if he did send the games back to shep we'd probably want to buy them off him, lol. I wouldn't refund the shipping, lol, and charge him the fees for listing, closing and any other fee for the auction too (including pain and suffering ). He might get back a buck then, lol - hell, I'd make it a penny. But not give him the money till the games are returned and tested to make sure theyre in the same shape as they left. It says classic games in the listing so you know they are older and besides at the bottom it says - no refunds! - so it's his problem now. (not Sheps for sure!)
  11. It looks like you didn't list compatability, so it would be the buyer's job to check. Sucks for them but oh well. *shrug* It very well could be a scam too - I am sure it's easier to copy old games then newer ones. Who knows but it doesn't look like it should be your problem even if we know you have such a conscience and always want to do the right thing (which is definitely good). *huggz*
  12. Sandpaper always makes me mildly nervous in terms of Vid. Game stuff. I know I'd be afraid of ruining something and w/ the luck I have - I would.

I've only got eyes for Osmeroid! But me an hubbs always remember to bring your Guinness.
  14. Me n Hubby got some 'behind the scenes' pics from our hockey game last night at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philly. The Philadelphia Phantoms won, we get a free hockey game on Wed. to go to since it was a win 1, get 1 game too. While a hockey game is not quite a historical landmark' it was lots of fun. We did get one 'landmark' pic in though of the Rocky sculpture. Players were being inducted into the 'hall of fame' last night! We got to talk to the Phantoms coach for a few and best of all meet hockey greats like Bill Barber, Frank Bialowas, who were both inducted. We also got an amazing opportunity to talk to two of our favorite players we watched for many years in the Flyers 'the chief' Craig Berube and 'Hexy' Ron Hextall (I even got huggz *big grin*). If I wasn't so chicken we could have gotten a lot more pictures and autographs but it's so crazy downstairs after a game. I know not all of you guys are big hockey fans but just 'Had' to share an awesome time and very fond memories.
  15. Ohh neat! And the stuff is in really good shape too. ... What a game you finally don't have?
  16. Couldn't smoking or a lot of exposure to sunlight cause it to discolor? As well as being handled a lot from the oils on peoples hands and stuff?
  17. In all seriousness, for me, if there was an AA member of the year award, the first one should go to one of the best - Albert. I don't see him taking credit for the many things he does to keep AA going - from handling the AA store to even the up-keep, maintenece and work on the forums themselves. I am sure he dedicates a lot of work and time here that people don't see or realize on an everyday basis. And I am also sure his helpers and moderators bust their butts too trying to keep everything running as smoothly as possible and making sure our packages arrive so fast. (the poor pidgeon must be exausted from all that flying, especially this time of year ) (I really am not trying to "brown-nose" but hey one award is better then none right ? )
  18. I've always wanted a pinball machine of our own too. Have seen a lot going pretty cheaply but I am not good on high maintenence stuff either. It would be interesting to hear from owners, as I have heard they are difficult to maintain as well.
  19. I have it for PS2 (got it from my SS, which was really what I soo wanted ). Mostly everyone seems to have it for gamecube. I love having all of the games on one disc and the luxury of not having to switch or play w/ carts.
  20. I think it would have been difficult for the great majority of the participants to be able to gift from a list of 5 classic Atari items.. I know I was unable to.... This may sound stupid but whats a good place to see pics of all the various patches and how you had to win them? (unless I missed them here on AA ) I'm probably in the minority, but I've never seen any of them in person.
  21. We have one of those mall kisosks in the mall by us - they wanted 70$ for the system w/ gun since it has a wireless controller. I literally said 'get the hell out of here'! If it was 20$ or so may have been tempted to buy them though. Wonder if they are still there too - they were last week. You could find cases of those systems on auction sites and on Epay there was definitely a huge number of famiclone like systems that claimed to be like toploaders.
  22. Legeek is a great seller and super fast shipper. Got our goodies already. Just wanted to thank him and let any of you that have never dealt w/ him before how good he is to deal with.
  23. Seriously have to say Mindfield is one of the absolute greatest sellers we've ever had the pleasure of dealing with!!! Can't wait for the next package of goodies!!! Also wanted to say I've never had faster shipping from Canada! Me and hubby both highly reccomend him but we'd rather have all his good deals to ourselves, so you guys keep on iggying all the good stuff he has for sale - more for us then ...
  24. Makes me thirsty and amazing photography!!!!! - will look more when I am better.

You are definitley right - there was a high attendance from TX at PC 5. Can't forget Mr. & Mrs. MMF, Tempest, and of course Osmeroid. He's the closest of all. I think for us anyway if we are going to make 'one big trip' having a few events within a few months definitely cuts into the budget a lot though. I liked having PC in the spring as well, for those of us that actually have a winter (not like some buttheads here  ) it gives something to look foreward too after we hopefully finish shoveling out. And if by chance it snows that weekend, someone that's not used to getting any snow is quite welcome to try their hand at shoveling our driveway. It's an open invitation! Just feeling generous and would love for those that normally don't or haven't in a long time *coughalbertcough* to have the pleasure of digging out a foot of nice wet snow. I Wouldn't want to be to blame for anyone missing out on such a rare opportunity. October and Fall time makes me think of leaves changing color, hayrides, pumpkins, apple orchards, the smell of cinnamon and pies baking *drool* and like Sku_u said - spending that last bit of time outdoors while we still can. Although their winter is much worse then ours even, it did get to single digit temps on quite a few days so far. *shiver* We also start saving up for Christmas quite early as well. ( Just my overpriced cents whether they're welcome or not )
