We won't "win" the cart but in all honesty, I don't care either. I'd probably even turn it down or give it back to CPU. For us at least it's not about getting a rare cart or a reproduction of a cart but helping a friend who's having a rough spot. I am sure Inky would help any of us if we needed it and he was in the position to do so as well. I believe CPU is doing a a more generous thing then so may people even think of. I respected him a lot to begin with and yet somehow its even greater now. (He's still a pain though and we wouldn't want to put him on an ego trip. So, I'll shut up now. )

2004 AtariAge Holiday Qb Cart Contest
Chickybaby replied to Crimefighter's topic in AtariAge Sponsored Contests
We are working on pics.. just haven't found the perfect spot yet. But these are some great odds for the moment. -
I've seen them as high as 60$. WTF ?!?
-
I really have always wanted a Game Axe but as I've been reading - I won't take a chance on a company w/ that bad of a rep.
-
I finally saw one at Toys R Us the otherday - they are so darn small I am know I would lose it! I have paperback books bigger then it. Anyway, they still wanted 50$ !!! for it and at least to me I would get one if it were about the same price as a plug n play around 15-20$ (maybe) But we did get the C64 one - or hubby did for the holidays from me.

So let's see what Classic gaming stuff you all got for Xmas
Chickybaby replied to Allan's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Shaun's Godfather found their 'old' Odyssey 2 and a 13 boxed games and brought them for him last night. Found it in the basement while cleaning and since Shaun had been asking what had ever happened to it they gave it to him. Definitely has that buried in the basement for too long smell. Not 'officially' a Christmas present but it was free game stuff on Christmas eve. Close enough. -
Well, all I can say is I guess - "And another one's gone, and another one's gone, and Another one bytes the dust". EA is nauseating. Not that everthing they do is 100%* horrible just that it's not healthy for the industry in general, I don't think, to have so few unholy large corporations with their greedy grubby mitts in everything.

what if a package is lost? any experience?
Chickybaby replied to kevin242's topic in Auction Central
I've never shipped anything overseas and after reading this amalmost afraid to ship/send stuff to Canada. We still are waiting for a package from Mindfield, but I've never had anything arrive from Canada faster. Amusingly enough we received something fro Atari dj in the UK and that was the fastest shipping I think I have ever seen coming from somewhere far away. Speaking of the US post office I am on my way out the door to go there now. Would someone please be kind enough to file a missing person report if I am not back in a week or two? -
While at the Conneticut Gaming Event we played against your lovely wife in these games. She kicked our asses so bad we landed back home again. *ding ding ding we have a weiner. err.. winner!* That about sums up my favorite kind of Gameplay as well. Along with cute games like frogger I also really love fighting and shooting games as well. I always manage to come back to playing Tetris, Galaga, Ms Pacman, Froger and games like that. My life is more then complicated enough and I really play games to get away from that. Simple yet challenging can sometimes be best to give the 'little grey cells' a rest. One of my favorite GBA games is Wacky Stackers though a cute cross between Looney Tunes and Tetris. It's not s advanced as I sometimes would like it to be but it's still very very fun! *two thumbs up* This was the most complete review I could find: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...823207?v=glance

AtariAge First Annual Secret Santa Event
Chickybaby replied to Secret Santa's topic in Announcements
Count me in too, now this is the meaning of Christmas! My Secret Santa did something extra, which I could not thank them enough for as well. Some of the members here have also been very overly generous w/ the boy we babysit too and I just want to return the favor in some small way. *sniffle* -
If it came with quite a few games(least a dozen) I would say that 100$ wouldn't be too bad but just for a system alone I personally won't pay more then 40-50$ for one but an average consumer shouldn't pay more then 60$-80$(depending on inflation of the market) for it including 1 doggie (or maybe a gun and couple regular controllers) and Mario Bros/Duck Hunt at least. I know an AA member sold just the system on Epay for approx 48$ recently *I think*. Not that I was watching it or anything either.

Lookie what I found at a store in Ann Arbor...
Chickybaby replied to Susuwatari's topic in Classic Console Discussion
LOL,Those are really cute! Anyone willing to ship a set to us in PA after Christmas and all that stuff is over? -
Dave, I don't know about this guy as I would have been willing to buy games too. The whole situation seems really weird. And he seems to be bumping all the threads.
-
I just find it interesting that I made mention that I didn't have a few of the carts yet I wasn't bothered with or even contacted in any way. *shrug*
-
Damn and here I thought that would be the next thing you'd put up for sale in the AA marketplace...
-
It was fireworld guys - in the other thread and I had called it first, lol. Damn am I a bitch, lol.
-
Why is it I almost worry when CPU posts something like the above?
-
We actually don't have a couple of them. *shrug* And you may find a beginner who wants to start a collection.
-
Well since all the R7's and up are claimed I'll take all the Prototypes, R6's and the best half of the R5's. (have to watch the budget since Mindfield and CPU might get jealous if we spend too much money elsewhere.)
-
I've seen GBA multicart auctions go much much cheaper. And I agree they aren't worth that much to me and I wouldn't mind having one either. 32 in 1's for about 20$, $25 bin. 90 in 1's and 84 in 1's for about $35/40$ bin also hundred and something's go for about the same. I don't know about the 2 hundred and something ones off hand.

Chickybaby replied to Secret Santa's topic in Announcements
Shaun hasn't recieved his yet either, and I am still waiting for my person's gift to arrive after being ordered. Shipping is abysmal right now. -
I can't find Sku_u's Phone #r - figures that would be the 1 msg I erase - but if anyone can get ahold of him I have 2 SNES controllers - 1 generic 1 brand and wll ship overnight to him - just have very little time to get a package in. Please! Thank you!!!!
-
