  1. I am sure even that if you wanted real games that someone on AA would set you up with a good system that you wouldn't/shouldn't have problems with. There are quite a few people especially CPUWIZ that are great w/ that stuff!!! As far as giving games for 2600,5200,7800 a good home that offer is extended to everybody that has more then just dime a dozen combat/pac man/ET/donkey kong & jr. etc... carts. Heck we'll take coleco & Intellivision games too. Even Genesis games, heck yeah - send em here (cept those pesky sports titles)
  2. If you go to one Mark's that I know of around Parma they have the Intellivision and a couple other ones for only 8$ each. I know Wal-not also has quite a few under 20$. We have a few 2600, 2600 Jrs as well as 7800 and a 5200 - most of which came from yard sales and thrift finds or AA members. Never had too many problems w/ them.We also have all ages of TV's from 15+ yrs old to last year and they work fine. I've actually been very very pleasantly surprised considering the age. If you take care of your things, don't beat the shit out of them- I don't see why they would be such a pain or cause so many problems. As far as set-ups go we have a few selectors that take S-video, AV & Rf that you can hook 5 systems up to, so there isn't a mess or a big pain when switching systems. With the big name and money that Infogrames has I am sure they could have found something especially considering the slew of inexpensive plug in games that are out there. In all seriousness, If you don't want your 2600, 5200 or 7800 cart collection because it's such a pain please PM me a list of your games & a shipping cost via either UPS or Priority Mail and we will be happy to give them a good home where they will be greatly enjoyed and appreciated - we can always use more real games!!!
  3. Considering the pics I saw in the other forum it doesn't look like it would even be worth making a cart hack for it. It also looks like it would be too small to serve much of a purpose since it looked not much bigger then a cd.
  4. Just switched to looking at 2600 system BINS on E-pay and there are quite a few as low as 30-39$ that come with games. To me that's more worth the money.
  5. Well, after reading this thread and the reviews all I can say is that I am definitely saddened to see how this turned out. I still tried to keep an open mind regardless and still was let down. Wouldn't it be nice for a change if something didn't live down to our low expectations. Maybe, just maybe if it goes on clearance for 15$ I'd pick one up but definitely not for 40. For about 50+(per Epay) looks like you can get a 7800 and not one of those. I would rather spend the extra money and have something that can play hundreds of games vs a few built in ones. Sheesh, I mean look how small it is - It more reminds me of those 10-20$ controllers with built in games than supposedly a system. From what I had read/heard I thought that that's what it was supposed to be like - a comparison to a 7800. I also agree that the games shouldn't have so many errors. Anyone who bouught it and is that dissapointed I would definitely return it as well as call the company and complain - heck any classic gamer that is dissapointed should call but make sure you stress how much you wanted something authentic.
  6. Are you going to stream that video? If not I call rights to that special, he'll we'd even chip in a buck or two. Actually, come to think of it if people are dumb and creative enough we should get a contest going for the most unique flashback killing caught on tape. We would both (z28 and myself) chip in a few non combat/pac man/donkey kong carts for a prize if enough people signed up.
  7. I agree that maybe in Japan this will work, but I don't think so in the States. Firstly, as far as kids are concerned, games are going to get expensive and although I am not sure how they are billed but I don't know too many parents that would pay lots of money knowingly so their kids can rack up bills by playing games. Also, a lot of schools don't really allow cell phones to be used during the day. Second, and I know this is old fashioned but, some people (like me) use their phone for phone calls and a few occasional reminders /messages. (That is when I remember to bring it with me or turn the darn thing on. )
  8. I believe that EB locally also has a kiosk set up to play the DS. Haven't tried it myself but don't have much interest at the moment.
  9. That's some pretty funny stuff, noticed that a bit earlier. The auction ended just above the 400$ mark.
  10. I haven't met many Genesis games I haven't liked. Probably why we have so darn many. I know you didn't want sports games but Mutant League Hockey and Mutant League Football were the first 2 genesis games I ever played and There are also a ton of fighting games and a lot of side scrollers. If you don't want a lot of carts but want a decent variety of games you could get: - Sonic Classics - includes Sonic 1 & 2, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine - 6-Pak - includes Sonic, Revenge of Shinobi, Columns, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Super Hang On - Arcade Classics - includes Centipede, Missile Command, Pong in various versions - Williams Arcade Greatest Hits - includes Stargate, Defender, Robotron: 2084, Sinistar and Joust - pinball my favorites are DinoLand & Dragon's Revenge - Castlevania Bloodlines - Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel (had to say it ) - TMNT Tournament Fighters wasn't bad
  11. Maybe try renting it first? We've been doing that lately, just don't always have time to play the games we rent, lol.i would rather spend 4 dollars andfind out a game isn't as good then 10-20$.
  12. For classic consoles we do have a lot of the same games for different systems. Also hubby collects Star Wars & Castlevania stuff so we have that. Collect Genesis,, Atari, NES so some games would be similar there but I like weird and unique games. We have smash packs and the equivalent for the newer systems with classic games on them. As far as newer games nah, one version per systems. So far we have a GBA&SP but they play game boy games and we have more of them then actual GBC & GBA games. We only have a PS & PS2 but when/if we get a Gamecube or Xbox don't plan on getting double games for those.
  13. Forgot to say those are old Ukrainian words of wisdom my father taught me, and today I pass it on to you. You can also substitute дупи for кжопи.
  14. гівно смердить. тільки кжопи дотикають.
  15. The main problem we are having is with floppies(see it's not just a man's problem) like Where in Europe is Carmen Sandiego etc. Thank you guys for your responses though very much appreciated.
  16. You're right chris... MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE. There, I feel better now, or well almost anyway. Have a nice day.
  17. Damn it, can't you people let a woman dream just for a few moments?!
  18. Looking for games with good labels, boxes aren't necessary, instructions aren't either. If a game has an overlay or something that's needed that would be appreciated though. We would always rather deal with a good seller from AA . The only games we have at the moment are: Buck Rogers, Centipede, Donkey Kong, DK Jr., Gorf, QBert, Time Pilot, Wing War, and Zaxxon. Looking for Games like Burgertime, Mouse Trap, Frogger1&2... Kids and animal games are my favorites, sports for z28, fighting games for us both, and of course classics. We aren't very picky at the moment, but don't want junk and definitley appreciate inexpensive prices.Thank you very much for your time. Any additions for our collection would be greatly appreciated.
  19. I love your spirit, don't let him win. LMAO. Very nicely done. And I would have loved to see the guy's face as he read your generous offer. I wonder what shade red or purple it was?
  20. Almost every effing TV station has that retarded McDonalds Chicken Select strips commercials on. I am not loving it! I would sooner not eat for an entire day that eat those damn strips now, not like 'quality food' and 'McDonalds' were ever associated in the same sentance anyway.
  21. Most of the"popular" TV shows and Series already do things like this. Like the food they are making in the kitchen etc. Some people would argue that it makes a game more "realistic" even. Supposedly, they would like to place products "only where they make sense". Somehow, I just don't believe those greedy, manipulative ... buggers. I hate watching television most of the time because of all the stupid commercials. Sports games, like football, take so darn long because of all the advertising. Even with movies and the cost of some used DVD's being as little as 10$ on a regular basis or rentals being so cheap, most of the time I just wait till then to see a movie rather then see it in the theatre. It's cheaper, less advertising being shoved down your throat, and you don't have to deal with all the crowds(mostly noxious pre-teens). Just like the TV "on demand" that's becoming popular. For anyone else who is highly against advertising in games like I am, it doesn't leave us many choices. Me personally, it just means I will devote more time to my classic gaming collection and ignore most new games. I do that already as it is. It's about preserving history as well as having fun, kids should know how games are supposed to be - enjoyed without worries or wondering what's cool one day and out the next. I also don't play PS, XBox etc. games on line - can't afford it for one, and more ads are just re-affirming that choice. It really does make for a bleak future but I think in most of our nightmares, we all knew it was going to end up like this anyway.
  22. You know the inner bad child in me wishes for a Gamecube right about now. The one day parent in me says it's good for parents to know these kinds of things and watch out for their kids. I think the inner child won and when/if I ever get both games there will be some interesting conversations to be had. Using a"parent only" memory card of course.
  23. Thanks for any info btw. Can anyone help please? I'm going nucking futs looking! I've checked past threads with little success. DP doesn't have a full list. I checked MayhemUK's and that's an awesome page but not a complete list. Lemon64.com has a huge site and game list but no rarity scale. Is there any scale really out there? I'm trying to log hubby's games and a few of my own on cart commander and only half of the titles were even listed w/ no rarities. We have about 60 actual game disks and about the same in copies, also a few carts. (Which I am not even looking at yet, lol.)But we'll always take freebies, who wouldnt?
