  1. Because 122 of them were in the Atari 5200 section.
  2. You also always have the option to replace the cable. It unplugs from the inside. What serial number is it? Edit: I found the answer in the other thread. 69986H
  3. Did I miss the episode where Sheldon became a grown man?
  4. Well, the rifle and the light gun count as one. The Power Pad, absolutely. The power glove, well I'm not sure, but why not. I don't remember what it does. The Wico and the regular controller would be one since they do the same thing (as well as the countless third party controllers for the NES) The robot was an add-on, but not really an input device as such. If we are counting ROB then we have to give the 2600 the Coleco Kid Vid tape player too. It plugs into the controller port too, and interacts with the games by playing audio cues. The Arkanoid controller, sure. But question, can you play Arkaniod WITHOUT the special controller? NES controller = one speed. Arkanoid controller = as fast as you can turn it.
  5. For your number 2 you said there were no other hockey games. For your number one you said the paddle games are some of the best games. If you fuse your one and two together you get Video Olympics.
  6. I like the Space Invaders art because of the dome cities and how the rays coming out of the UFO resembles the Fuji.
  7. The last time I saw new Atari games at a store was at Big Lots.
  8. Is it suppose to be missing three pins in the joystick connector?
  9. CART1 is the locking circuit board protector. CART2 is the free sliding circuit board protector. CART3 has no circuit board protector. My suggestion is to go to the main Atari 2600 page and look at the PDF file. Though it isn't current (have to update it real soon), it explains all the abbreviations and such in the list at the very beginning. This will give you a good idea of what you're looking at. Phil Okay. Thanks. Mine are cart one then. What about the Donkey Kong one?
  10. Or I could help keep two year old threads at the top by being the first to say,"I like Video Checkers."
  11. I like the VCS picture label carts. They look like little books. The only thing I would do different is give them the same glossy plastic layer on the labels like on one of my Combat carts, keep the numbers on the end labels(41 Surround), and have the end label to be able to open up a compartment to a mini manual.
  12. What is the difference between these two variations of Indy 500?: version h)* C PicBl ©1978, CART1, orange letters version j)* R PicBl ©1978, CART2, orange letters
  13. I feel I want to keep intentional variations and not printing errors... How about this one? I have a Donkey Kong that isn't on your site. It has a ® after by Nintendo instead of TM. In the middle it says in two lines,"VIDEO GAME CARTRIDGE FOR USE WITH ATARI® 2600 VCS". At the bottom it says in five lines with a space between line three and four,"DONKEY KONG is the trademark of Nintendo of America Inc. © 1981 Nintendo of America Inc. Atari® is a trademark of Atari, Inc. Printed in U.S.A.(space in between lines here) Package, Program & Audiovisual © 1982 Coleco Industries, Inc., Amsterdam, New York 12010." The back of the cartridge says,"MADE IN U.S.A." My other cartridges are a cream color but this one is gray.
  14. I'm going through all my games cleaning them, putting them in plastic bags, and figuring out which ones are doubles. The doubles is the hard part. I'm using the giant variation site but am confused. Either I have variations that are not listed or I'm confusing the same variation as different variations. For an example, the site has one variation of red lettered texted Video Checkers but I have one that has a fully black background with a thin bordered end label with thin letters and my other one has an off colored square that begins at game program and ends at the Fuji with a think bordered end label with thicker letters. Another example, I have a combat with braille game variations with braille end label and one with braille game variations but no braille end label. Does anyone sell a book with every single variation with pictures? I'm getting kinda scared to sell any of my "doubles". Is there a way for me to know for sure or do I just keep every cart that has a small difference that I don't see listed? Edit: I just now noticed that I have two Air-sea Battles that are identical except for their end labels. One has red text on the end label and the other has more of a maroon text with a thinner longer silver border. God help me!
  15. Thanks for the info guys. Minus the ones that could get ruined, how would you store flattened boxes if you were to do so?
  16. Thanks! I like that game idea, too. Wish I knew how to program PS -- Nice avatar. You watching the new V series on ABC? -B Hopefully someone that makes homebrews will see this thread. I would buy a LEGO Retroids game. Thanks. I got the Original Miniseries, Final Battle, original TV show, and season one of the new show. I started watching season two but missed one episode. I don't want to skip anything so I'm waiting for it to come out on Blu-ray before finishing. I'm kinda scared to keep watching though because there is always the chance that the show will be canceled like Earth 2 and Firefly.
  17. Those are cool. LEGOs are blocks and Atari graphics are blocks. With LEGOs you could even do an entire screen shot. PERFECT! LEGO Retroids might make a cool homebrew game. Maybe a Tetris game where a picture is in the corner, the blocks fall in order, and you have to have them land in their correct spot.
  18. I'm sure I'll figure this out when I dig through my boxes but which ones have glue? Are there more fold up or glued boxes? Thanks.
  19. I don't understand how flattening them would destroy them and hot glue would be needed to restore them. Please explain. Weren't they originally flat and then folded into boxes when produced? How could unfolding them back to flat destroy them?
  20. I was thinking about how I want to store my boxes. Right now they are in totes which I don't like. I like the idea of wrapping them in plastic and putting them on a book shelf but my space is too limited. Does anyone break them down flat to store them? Maybe make them flat and put them in a binder or something? What do you think about the idea of storing them flat? How would you do it?
  21. Yes Buy it quick, or just get one a place it on the windowsill in the sunlight! That is cheating.
  22. Misfits Escape from the London Dungeon. It would be a hack of Berzerk. You have as many lives as there have been members of the Misfits. Your lives will be represented with devilocks and the player will be wearing a devilock. The robots will be changed to skeletons throwing bones and warlocks shooting bolts of lightening out of there hands. Evil Otto would be replaced by the Crimson Ghost. There will be an Easter egg if you attack the Crimson Ghost when your score is 666(any 666. 2666, 10666...). When you attack at 666 he spins around the room and disappears. After he disappears the Berzerk maze becomes an actual maze and you have to find the Crimson Ghost. When you find the Crimson Ghost he will be in a room with his Cyclotrode "X". Your score will be the countdown of the Cyclotrode "X". You must defeat the Crimson Ghost and destroy the Cyclotrode "X" before the clock runs out or it will cause a major electrical short in all Atari systems. If you win it goes to a scene showing the Misfits digging up Marilyn Monroe's body. It will be a hint for the sequel. Misfits: The Search for the Bride of Frankenstein.
