  1. I prefer new names or going the other extreme of being as illegal as possible.
  2. They may not have been listed but the "every forgotten console released in the years since." would cover that. However, it makes me worried that they have no plans for pre-crash systems because it seems like it would have been worded as "every forgotten console released in the years since and before." or just "every forgotten console." My ideal next console would be a no compromises perfect hardware replacement for the SEGA Genesis.
  3. When I hear people describe their preference for vinyl it isn't just about the sound of the music but the ritual of the process like looking at the artwork, holding the record properly when removing it from the sleeve and putting it on the turntable, cleaning the record, watching it spin, fine tuning their equipment, getting the satisfaction that it feels earned when it sounds just right, etc. They could listen to the same music as MP3's but they consider all this stuff crucial to that retro experience. RabidWookie could play the same games as ROM's but his rituals with carts could be crucial to his retro experience.
  4. Saw another one at Walmart a few hours ago and some of the carrying cases.
  5. Here is my speculation: Release Super Nt and then after the fact release the Core Store. Release Mega Nt and then after the fact release the Core Store. Release Turbo Nt and then after the fact release the Core Store. Release a few other consoles and then after the fact release the Core Store. Release some handhelds and then after the fact release the Core Store. Release some combo units of more obscure and/or less popular consoles like an Atari VCS, ColecoVision, and Intellivision combo then after the fact release the Core Store. Release some combo units of past Analogue consoles like an NES and Super NES combo then after the fact release the Core Store. When Analogue runs out of consoles then they pay Kevtris to take all that he learned from them all to create the Zimba 3000 under their brand name. Analogue and Kevtris corner the retro gaming market. The border wall gets demolished to make room for President Kevtris' castle. Mike Kennedy, Chris Cardillo, and all of Atari's 5 employees become Kevtris' maids. We all live happier ever after until my last CRT dies which causes the rapture. Simple as that. For the record.
  6. Well, they should put the HDMI inside the case like a real VCS.
  7. Maybe we are looking at it backwards? The labels, woodgrain, and controller ports are all opposite of the VCS.
  8. Copyright infringement with jailbreak and ROM's good but copyright infringement with jailbreak and patched ROM's bad? I'm so confused.
  9. Does this mean it is more fully functional for 2600 games? Like does the tv type switch pause when flipping back and forth on 7800 games but still can be put in either position on 2600 games?
  10. Atari VCS carts insert with the front label facing the sky and the end label facing you. NES carts insert with the front label facing the sky and the end label facing you.
  11. If we can't make judgements about the hat unless we try it then how are we suppose to make a decision to buy it?
  12. I was joking. At least as far as I can remember. I form memories. I just have trouble recalling them and a bunch of,"Oh yeah! That's right!" moments.
  13. I know. This is like the 5th time you told me this. Anyway, I can kind of relate. I do things like sending texts to myself, have my wife witness me putting something down so I don't lose it, ask her my age, stick to a daily routine to not forget basic steps like shaving, etc.
  14. What would you suggest he do to remember your suggestion later?
  15. It seemed like he was saying it was somehow open source and proprietary at the same time. If it is a properly licensed version of Stella and open source then it must be the GPL version but if we would even need to use custom firmware then it must not be the GPL version.
  16. When Sears goes completely under I'm going to try to get it for $2 then launch the Sears Tele-Games Video Arcade Box renders.
  17. But if the video said it is open source firmware then wouldn't that be the recent GPL Stella?
