  1. I hope it isn't discontinued. I eventually want to get one for the three reasons you just stated even if the other cores didn't exist. I would be interested in the Super Nt for the same three reasons if it wasn't missing one.
  2. Speak of the devil, my little brother got my older brother and I one for Christmas. I don't even try to get one and still do. Anyway, since my older brother is also a retro gamer that knows he already has ways to play Super NES games I could tell he was about to go full Autistic. So, I came to its defense,"It has Star Fox 2!" I think I failed because then he said to my younger brother,"I don't have much use for this." I just closed on my first house yesterday. So, after I set up my game room I'll probably leave it in the living room for my wife. But since she prefers NES over Super NES it will probably result in her demanding also the NES Classic when it is released again. Therefore, both will be in the house. Anyway, now that I know that giving criticism about devices ultimately results in me getting them I really need to start talking shit about everything Kevtris works on and I also should be making a lot of room for all of the Atari Flashbacks.
  3. Since he got the Jag molds last time I think at the very least he should get the Atacobox renders this time. If history doesn't repeat itself exactly it could destroy the entire space-time continuum.
  4. I just pictured Santa booting Mike Kennedy down the slide.
  5. You were probably thinking about how they work with things that are their own thing like UltraViolet. Yes, smart TV's, set top boxes, consoles, etc. It is hardware agnostic. I use it on my Nvidia Shield Android TV. I mostly use it when I buy a Blu-ray, DVD, and digital copy combo. So, if for some reasons Walmart gets rid of VUDU and major movie studios stop using UltraViolet as a digital rights locker then I would mostly be unaffected as far as owning the movies are concerned. If games on the Switch worked this way I would have no problem with it. I would just lose the ability to carry digital copies but the Game Cards would still work fine.
  6. The Bone Fone's name sounds like it does something entirely different than described.
  7. The reason it is woodgrain is because that is the same look as the original wooden Jumanji game board and the reason it looks like an unknown console of an unknown time but clearly old is because that is what the original Jumanji game board looked like. In other words, it is suppose to look like this mysterious one of a kind old game just like the original Jumanji. Anyway, I think the controllers looking like they have PlayStation connectors that plug down like a cartridge is a good design to prevent accidentally pulling out the controllers. On the other hand, I also think how they connect on an actual PlayStation is also a good design to prevent pulling down a console when tripping over a wire.
  8. I suck at using the NES Advantage even with NES games because I'm right-handed.
  9. Or he just goes down to his local Core Store. For me it isn't just the experience but because it is pretty much unplayable with a D-pad. My thumb can't make the same movements at the same speed as my wrist. Then there are paddle games.
  10. He wasn't saying much of anything when there was "news". The NDA must have said something about not saying anything that would qualify as doing the job he is volunteering for. Without insider knowledge I could perform similar volunteer work. Give it a try. Ask me anything about the Atacobox and I will provide non-answers that are just different ways of saying,"I don't know or maybe I do but I assure you the Ataribox is real." I mean, Bill was trying not to reveal anything for ethical reasons and still provided more information.
  11. I would need a way to use Atari controllers to use it for that.
  12. I think if the jailbreak was released but then there were cores that were exclusive then it would make the unofficial jailbreak look official. If the Super Nt had every core but the Genesis and the Mega Nt had every core but the Super NES then it would look like Analogue is the ones choosing not just which cores don't get released but also which ones do get released. For an example,"So, what you are saying is that not only is it a coincidence that your employee is releasing "unofficial" firmware but it is also a coincidence that he is releasing it in a way that maximizes sales of your consoles?" I think the same reasoning would apply if Analogue themselves started selling cartridge adaptors,"Why are you selling cartridge adaptors for firmware that is "unofficial"?"
  13. I think when the Z3K is out it shouldn't really be marketed towards lay people. It should be marketed to collectors who already have a bunch of consoles as perfect replacement hardware for most if not all of their consoles. A collector should be able to look at a wall sized entertainment center full of consoles, A/V switch boxes, lots of wiring, etc. and think,"This little box can perfectly replace everything on that wall and if I wanted to I could sell everything on that wall to pay for it." For a device that would make me think that I would consider $500 cheap and think Kevtris was ripping himself off.
  14. This is Drunken Hater Land. We need more than AMD's word. We answer to a higher authority. We need to see inside and for Albert to tell us exactly which capture card AMD put in the renders.
  15. Especially if Master System and Game Gear carts are supported too.
  16. I keep running into them at ThinkGeek at two different malls.
  17. It would also accept Genesis cartridges at the very least and potentially other SEGA systems and/or accessories. There also might not just be a buy another crowd but people who would buy the Mega Nt instead of the Super Nt.
  18. I think at first Microsoft removed Pluto entirely from the solar system with 8. Then later after complaints they added it back in as the .1 in 8.1 as a comet moon without a planet thingy to give back that Classic Shell navigation that NASA is used to. But it was too little too late because most of us down here on Google Earth didn't even notice.
  19. They still have time to make it before the end of Fall.
